Nice Italian restaurant. Clean, nice ambiance, courteous staff, and delicious food! Wife had lasagna and I had the wild mushroom ravioli; both were fresh, and delightful. Downtown Columbus isn’t exactly known for 5-star, fine dining, but Mabella’s comes pretty close. About $ 70 with tip for two entrees, one desert, and two drinks.

Came yesterday and requested the Veal Osso Bucco, thy said they ran out. I understood and agreed to have something else. As its normal if you’re graving something… You just have to have it! Returned today 1÷14÷16 and aging no Osso Bucco. Why would a restaurant of this category, 1 not have what’s on the menu ? 2 not notify you as you open the menu. 3 worst of all they did not offer ether nights to do anything special! Discount/similar dish/offer a curtesy drink, etc. As the last night I was in the bar I even got the bill along with the check as they new I was not dining. It just might be that Columbus is in the need of a «sophisticated looking» place!

Delicious food, warm and relaxing atmosphere. The wild mushroom ravioli and filet was outstanding! Husband got the Mabella filet and it was amazing as well. A little pricey for the portions but the experience was worth it. Waitress was very attentive and made sure each course came out in a timely matter(i.e. We didn’t have to scarf down our salads because the entrees were already arriving). Great place for a date night!

Mabella has a refined, seasonal menu that goes beyond the standard Italian-American fare. The atmosphere is cozy and perfect for a date night. There is also seating upstairs that would accommodate larger parties. The signature drink menu is interesting(I had a great Moscow Mule.), and they have an adequate wine selection. On my first visit, I had the pistachio crusted grouper. It was perfectly cooked, had a yummy light pan sauce, and was served atop the BEST Brussels sprouts I’ve ever eaten. The antipasti platter is a good artisan appetizer for a group. The meats were high quality. On my second visit, I started with the arrancini. It’s enough for two or three people. They were creamy, crunchy, and perfectly complemented by a yummy tomato sauce. I wanted the Osso Bucco but was disappointed to find that they were«out.» It was only 7:30, so I assume it was just bad planning. I opted for the chicken and risotto. The risotto was perfectly cooked — very creamy and cheesy. The chicken was tender, but nothing special. The red wine sauce was deep and flavorful… perfect mixed in with the rice. I want to go back and try the lamb chops, veal Osso Bucco, and seafood linguini. We finished with a HUGE piece of fluffy and slightly tangy cheesecake.

My favorite single dish of anywhere I have eaten, ever. The wild mushroom ravioli with steak is so good, there is no need to try anything else. The atmosphere is charming, the Moscow Mules are tasty. I love this place

The rib eye was amazing. Best streak I’ve had in three columbus area hands down. Servers were polite and very friendly. The hostess were super nice considering they had a rush of customers on a down night but it was worth the wait.

I live in Ohio but every time I come visit Columbus my friends take me here. This place is excellent for girls night or family diners. Last night I had the lamb chops and I appreciate a place that serves it with green jelly. The risotto and the Brussels sprouts were to die for as well.

What a refreshing and refined take on Italian cuisine. I’m glad Columbus has another great Italian restaurant(in addition to Café Amici). Everything about the restaurant is perfect. The décor, menu, bar and wine selection, wait staff, and ambience all combine to create a memorable dining experience. Give them a try!

I’m in town for the Soldier Marathon and crave carbs the night before. There aren’t many choices for Italian fare in Columbus but I stumbled upon this gem about fifteen minutes before they opened. Even though Unilocal says they don’t do takeout I asked anyway. They obliged and had it ready just a couple of minutes after they opened at 5pm. The spaghetti and meatballs was delicious, and I appreciated the fact that they still gave me garlic bread and a side salad(though it was too much to finish!). I didn’t dine in, but the service was great and friendly while placing and picking up my order. I’m sure it would be a nice experience to stay and eat, however, as the restaurant is lovely inside and out. Craving Italian food and in Columbus? Go to Mabella’s.

Very pleasantly surprised by this place! I was in town for work for a few days and decided to try this place out. Located in a beautiful old building, the interior was very nice with exposed brick and high, tin ceilings. I started out with a nice IPA and the Fried Provolone, which came out sizzling on a cast iron skillet, along with toasted bread. An appetizer large enough to share, it definitely hit the spot. For my entrée I had one of the specials, which was a giant Bone-In Ribeye with a wonderful glaze. The steak was cooked perfectly, it was tender, and overall it was amazing. One of the best steaks I have had eating out, and this coming from someone living in Nebraska… where they know a thing or two about beef! Somehow I finished off the meal with a wonderful cheesecake topped with strawberries. Overall, the service was spot on, with the the owner stopping by to ask us how our meal was. For a first night out at a random restaurant in Columbus, this place shined!

We have had dinner there 4 or 5 times since opening. Every dinner has been outstanding. We always share so we can taste different dishes!

Mabella was recommended to me from a restaurant owner from downtown Columbus, Ga. They did not disappoint. I had the peppercorn salmon. It was delicious. The old fashion was amazing too. Do not miss Mabella while in Columbus.

This restaurant recently opened up in the area, I believe just this year. It replaced a previously located Thai restaurant. First off, we were not aware, at the time we went for dinner, that reservations are mandatory. If you don’t make a reservation, they have an option to sit at the bar. Luckily, we arrived at a decent time so were able to get a seat at the bar really fast. Afterwards, the restaurant filled up fast and there were many people waiting for the bar seats. SODEFINITELYMAKE A RESERVATION. I believe they only accept call-in reservations because I tried looking up their restaurant on OpenTable(a popular app that does reservations for restaurants) and they were not available on the app. The atmosphere is really nice and up-scale. Even though the restaurant appears small, there are more seats in the back and there is a second floor. The«coolest» table to have would definitely be at the piano. It has this mirror up on the ceiling and you eat on the piano. There are days also when a live musician will play. The service was great. Everyone was really nice and courteous. Our waiter was really helpful and gave great recommendations. The food arrived at a good pace. The food was delicious. The bread served before the meal is really good. I had the Caprese salad and the Grouper with Brussels sprouts, with a bacon and date sauce. My sister had the kale salad with mushroom ravioli with steak tips. I dreamed about the grouper a couple of days after our visit, I loved it. For dessert, we had coffee ice cream with a cookie drizzled with caramel. I’m personally not a fan of caramel but my sister really liked the desert. The only downside I would say about the experience was that tiramisu is not on the menu. Tiramisu is our favorite Italian dessert and before entering the door, we were talking about our excitement for the desert. It baffled me why it wasn’t on the menu. It’s was just a disappointment. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant for a nice night out. The environment is really nice, which is accompanied by a friendly staff. The food is delicious(even though they don’t have tiramisu). Highly recommended. 4.5 out of 5.

My second time around dining here was not as pleasant as my first. My server was a sour puss. That’s the nicest way to put it. She would not allow me to have 2 salads as my sides even though they’re on the menu as side options… She never smiled the entire time and was very stern to my friends and I. I ordered the kale salad(yum) & Raddichio salad(again), this time it was not grilled. It was a flat plate of chopped Raddichio & celery with a creamy dressing(nothing special-skip it!). I also ordered the salmon which was slightly over cooked and sitting in a pool of tomato sauce? Not what I expected and not very tasty either. Now they were very busy on this night so I didn’t bother to send any of it back, however, the table next to us overheard my disappointment and told our server that I did not like it and was not going to eat it… Oh boy, was our server mad! She was so upset she felt the need to have a seat at my table and lecture me on the importance of letting her know myself that I wasn’t happy with it? Last I checked I can do and say or not say whatever I please, thank you very much. Since I had already asked for a box she says she could no longer take the salmon away or redo it and offered me a dessert. Again, I was not planning on complaining to start and my cats would enjoy the salmon so I was happy taking it home. I declined the dessert and they did remove an $ 8 drink from my bill. I would like to mention I also ordered a side of shrimp(3 pcs for $ 9) since I wasn’t going to eat the salmon and it too was slightly over cooked. One of my friends ordered the mushroom ravioli and that was very good. My conclusion is they tend to over cook all of their proteins just slightly, perhaps 30 – 60 secs too long and the end results take it from moist to dry. 11th& bay makes a mean salmon, perfectly cooked to medium. On the plus side, the heirloom tomato risotto was still on point! I will be definitely be back for the risotto and salads. In fact I will be there this week to try the chocolate cake & the special since they were sold out.

Love this place! Have had dinner and dessert here for our Saturday cheat meals. The mushroom ravioli with beef tips is amazing as well as the classic spaghetti and meatballs. My roomie got the lasagna which is also delicious. Loved the caprese salad as well. I felt the calamari was too salty but my friends gobbled it up and told me I was nuts! They have a full bar and a classy and friendly atmosphere! Love this place!

Had reservations there for 5:30 but we were running a little late so we called to let them know. We arrived at 5:38. I told the lady at the door I had reservations and she looked at me and said«just to let you know you’re 8 minutes late and people are waiting so now you’re setting us back… just to let you know» I asked the girl who seated us if that was the owner and she said«no that’s our manager» Rude! People show up late all the time where I work at and you don’t tell them how you’re feeling about it! It’s unprofessional and just makes you look ugly Food was excellent though :)

We went last night for dinner and absolutely loved it! For a Monday night, it was VERY busy, but we were seated right away(we did have reservations though). Our waiter was nice and very fast. We didn’t wait long on our wine, appetizer, or dinner. We had fried provolone first, and it was so good! For dinner, my husband had lasagna and I had the wild mushroom ravioli. It was amazing. I haven’t had food this good since we were in Pittsburgh last year. The atmosphere is casual, very similar to the Loft. The prices are reasonable too. I wouldn’t change a single thing about this place, they did everything right. I love Italian food. This is my new favorite restaurant. 100 A+++++++++++++++

Went last night… Valentine’s day. We had walked past this place on our way to Iron Bank before they opened. I peeped inside and I had to find out what it was. I saw a post on Electric City life’s IG page about a new Italian steak house and HAD to try it. We were seated immediately at our reservation time which was wonderful for a Valentine’s day dinner. Everyone was super friendly and the décor was beautiful. Our waitress was attentive and our drinks and food cane out timely. I had the risotto anf my date had the wild mushroom ravioli. Everything was delicious. Only complaints I have are my date didn’t get his salad, she forgot to box up my leftovers and I don’t think the dessert was homemade even though the waitress said it was. But I would definitely go back again. PS – the cocktails are STRONG!

I enjoyed my time here last night. The ambience is outstanding and the interior is very tastefully done. The service was absolutely outstanding from Brandon. He was attentive and enthusiastic. The meal started with garlic bread. Pretty good but would have preferred bread and olive oil. Although can’t really complain for free bread. I had the wild mushroom ravioli with steak tips and it was amazing. My wife had parpadelle with braised beef and I thought it was okay(but my flavor filled dish was so much better that it’s not a fair comparison). The serving sizes were perfect. I did tell the manager they need to get beer on tap. Overall a great place for just opening. I’m sure with time they’ll get even better
