I like this place. I like it a lot. I almost always get the double cheese, then add my own toppings. Yesterday tho, they sent me a $ 3 off coupon for their new«Chicago Style Stuffed» pizza. It only comes in one size, medium, and it a whopping $ 20 without the coupon. I took it home, followed the directions exactly(preheated @ 375 for 20 minutes) and the crust had just started to char… perfect I thought. But no. The center was still cold, and even the warmer areas… it was just not that good, in fact, rather bad. Didnt even finish with the meal. If you are going to try this new pie, I suggest a lower temp for a longer time, but Im still a fan of their regular take-n-bake pies. 1÷15÷16 Update: «Jeff», from Mama Mimis, created a Unilocal account just to message me, apologizing for my difficulties, and confirming this is a tricky pie to cook. He asked for my address(which I provided) so he could credit me for my pie. Adding 2 stars for taking care of their customers via excellent customer service! Im a born again fan!

A friend had Groupon’s for the meal(pizza, calzone, salad, cookie). After three meals, each weeks apart, the flavor always rocks! It’s easy, tasty and a great meal every time. The clear favorite is their pizza, but the calzone is solid too. Less one star for the cookie. It’s heavy w/butter or oil(grease) when you compare it to other cookies(especially if you scratch bake). It cooks a bit different. It’s a chocolate chip cookie though, so yeah, it’s still good.

Mama Mimi’s is consistently fresh and convenient. Veggie lasagna was extremely tasty and filling. It had about 9 servings. I’m not a fan of the cookie pizza. It’s not sweet enough for me. The breadsticks could use some more garlic and salt. The pizza choices are varied and guaranteed to please a group with multiple tastes. It is take and bake so plan ahead. Lasagna takes 35 minutes. Breadsticks and cookie pizza take 8 – 10 minutes.

I like their pizza. It is good. I drank half a bottle of wine from Gentile’s that I bought when picking up my polpetina grande and prima pesto chicken. That should explain this review. However, you dont have to be drunk to like this pizza(unlike Mikey’s). One tip, don’t try to pick up your cat while holding a plate with a slice of this pizza on it because you will drop it and then your cat will lick the floor. Eat this pizza, the end.

Full disclosure: I worked here for a while a few years ago. I even met my fiancé while we were working together! That being said, I ate this pizza almost daily for the six month period I was here, and I STILL crave it years later. If that doesn’t tell you how amazing this pizza is, I’m not sure what will. They make their dough fresh daily and have a varied assortment of artisan toppings, including sun dried tomatoes, caramelized onions, fresh basil, and artichoke hearts. The Marmaletta Amore has the strangest combination of toppings, but it will probably change your life. Also, I could drink a whole glass of their italian salad dressing and feel absolutely no remorse. It’s take and bake, so as long as you have an oven(or a grill!) or toaster oven there is no excuse not to try this place. The home baking instructions are easy, and you can even refrigerate them for a day or two before cooking if needed. Their signature pizzas are all delicious, or build your own from the previously-mentioned toppings, white, whole wheat, or gluten-free dough, and several kinds of cheese. Including shaved parmesan and GORGONZOLA. Did you hear me, people? Put gorgonzola on everything. Tuesdays in the summer are buy one get one free pizza days, and they send out coupons to people on their mailing list. I’m an equal opportunity pizza lover, but this place is legit; great family company with awesome people and delicious pizza!

Mama Mimi’s is not the cheapest pizza in town but the are the BEST! The flavor combinations are unique, they offer other tasty take and bake items and routinely have coupons through their mailing list. Sal’s Hot Tropic is my favorite pizza. I highly recommend it for those who are new to the take and bake style. Also their crusts come in three different flavors, so you can get creative. For newbies, the stores offer bread sticks to try so you can get used to the way the pizza cooks! This is a great perk for those who may hesitate about this style of pizza.

This a review for the much anticipated cinnamon rolls. After years of buying the cinnamon rolls for Thanksgiving morning, we have been extremely disappointed for the last 2 years. The dough simply didn’t rise, despite leaving them out on the counter as advised. They were flat, small and hard after baking. Nothing like prior years! When we got this«bummer batch» last holiday, we assumed it was an anomaly — only to be disappointed yet again. Not worth the money, not worth the anticipation.

Unique, flavorful, and fresh describe the best pizza in C-bus! Nothing says fresh like seeing the raw ingredients on your pizza before it’s cooked. Carmella’s Classic and Mama’s Marmeletta Amore are the most unique and flavorful pizzas I’ve ever had. Caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes, and Gorgonzola cheese give Carmella’s Classic amazing flavor unlike any other pizza. Also using olive oil rather than tomato sauce probably makes a big difference, since tomato sauce would detract from the flavor of the toppings. I was afraid to try the Marmeletta Amore at first because I never liked marmalade and I assumed the apricot glaze would be like marmalade(similar root word in the title right?). I was wrong. The flavor is sweet with a little bite to it. I’m not sure if the bite is from the glaze or another ingredient, but it’s magical. I can’t remember how many, but after buying a certain number of pizzas(9?) you get a free pizza. I’m thrifty, so although I love Mama Mimi’s it’s difficult for me to justify spending $ 15+ on a pizza, but I do every now and then. You would think since they don’t have the overhead of powering a stove for the pizzas it would reduce the price. Keeping in mind though, this is a local restaurant and not a national chain, so it can’t be compared to national chains. They’re serving the same type of food as the chains, but taking a totally different approach. It’s a risk having customers use their own ovens to cook pizza, given the fact that the end product can vary widely, but with quality ingredients the customer can only blame themselves for under/over cooking! In a city full of pizza parlors, Mama Mimi’s stands out in both their business approach and flavor.

We’ve tried multiple veggie pizzas here, and they are all excellent, but my favorite is the Bel Giordino. I don’t even like kalamata olives, but they are so fresh and wonderful on this pizza. Even when I’m full, I cannot stop eating! The bread sticks are okay, but better when brushed with butter or olive oil. The tiramisu is absolutely delicious, whereas the giant cookie is somewhat so-so. The staff is super-friendly and accommodating, and the Caesar salad is the best that I’ve ever had. At first, the menu may seem a little pricey, but Mama Mimi’s is very good about providing coupons and other deals! The ingredients are also so fresh that I don’t mind paying a little extra.

First and foremost, I must mention, Mama Mimi’s has gluten-free options and will go out of their way to make every effort to prevent cross contamination for anyone with severe gluten sensitivities. On top of that, their gluten-free crust actually tastes good. That right there will grant a 4-star review. In addition to their fantastic GF pizza, they have a number of other great pizzas, bread sticks, and even lasagna. They really do value giving people options. And, bonus, it’s all startlingly cheap for how good it is. Please note that this a Take N Bake pizzeria. They’ll get you set up with something ready to go, but you’ve got to pop it in the oven at home.

As far as take and bake options go in Columbus, this place is by far the winner. Despite being mere steps from bf’s house, this place has a ton of things going for it. For one, it’s attached to Gentile’s Carryout. Pizza to go AND awesome beer/wine choices? Sign me up. Secondly, for some reason I have yet to figure out, their pizzas are some of the best I’ve ever had. I have to cook them myself, and they are still one of the best. Baffling. Their ingredients are simply top notch. I’ve never had a bad pizza here(and I’ve tried a few). My faves seem to waver between the Veggie and the Meatball. Omg, the meatball… It’s a life saver that they let you half and half your pizza. Their breadsticks and salads are delicious. Oh, and their lasagnas. Yeah, those are the slam, too. Sign up for their emails and you’ll get awesome coupons every week. Like, buy a pizza get one free. Unreal. Thank you Mamma Mimi’s for taking a great concept and making it fantastic!

Mama Mimi’s is take & bake pizza, and they carry a few other items like salads, lasagna, and desserts. This particular location shares its space with a beer & wine store, so you can also grab some of these beverages while you are there. The parking lot is a little on the small side, so it can get crowded, particularly on a Friday night when everyone is heading in to grab beer and pizza. They have a nice variety of custom pizzas(the Moltansanti combo is a new favorite of ours), several of which have won awards, and they also offer make your own. They have a lot of different sauces and ingredients with which to do so, and a choice on white, honey-wheat or gluten free pizza crust. This is a little pricier than doing a quick pizza from one of the regular delivery places, but there are a lot more options, so keep that in mind for deciding on what place you’re in the mood for. They send clear and simple baking directions home with you, and it’s not too much longer until you have a tasty pizza ready to eat. The salads are tasty, but it is the Italian vinaigrette that puts them over the top — I always ask for a salad with that dressing, yum!

Went back for a 2nd time, and it took forever! 1 small cheese pizza, a salad, and some breadsticks…20 mins later, I’m headin out. A pretty simple order shouldn’t take 20 mins. I love the quality of the food and love the service I used to get at the Clintonville location. I wish this location would get their speed down. What is up w all the beer making supplies in the middle of the pizza place? It feels like you are in a storage room when you are waiting on your order. I’ll be back, but next time I’ll order online… maybe they do those orders first?

I am in pizza heaven! Where do I begin??? I was a little nervous about the whole«take and bake» experience because of prior fiascos, but after reading reviews on Unilocal I knew I had to give this place a shot… I walk in and am greeted by some of the nicest people and am offered samples of pizza AND tiramisu. ummm holy heck! That is some good tiramisu! They even cared enough to ask my opinion on it. I told them it was my first time in, and the cashier got excited and thanked me for stopping by. Then, upon handing me the prettiest pizza I have ever seen, he proceeds to go through the step by step of how to cook it properly! The instructions are on the pizza packaging, so its pretty much idiot proof. I just really appreciated that he took the time to go through it all. I love the store it is in too! It is located inside a cute wine shop(pizza and wine??? Don’t mind if I do!). Needless to say… I will definitely be back! I haven’t even tasted the pizza yet, but I had an urge to instantly drive home and Unilocal about this awesome place… now to try the pizza :-) nom nom nom

We tried Mama Mimi’s for the first time last night(we had a coupon) and I was impressed. I just went gluten free and until last night, I hadn’t found a good gluten free pizza. Mama Mimi’s has started offering gluten free crusts all the time now(I guess it used to be only 1 day a week) and while I don’t really think any gluten free crust tastes fantastic, this one was actually pretty good. The staff was really friendly and helpful when we went to pick up our pizza too. We told them that it was our first time there, and they gave us free breadsticks! The breadsticks weren’t GF, so I actually couldn’t have any, but that was still nice of them! They also talked us through exactly how to bake our pizzas so we wouldn’t ruin them & we got a punch card to use next time so that we can earn a free pizza. The only way Mama Mimi’s could get any better was if they cooked my pizza for me, but I’ll take when I can get.

Last night was my first time trying Mama Mimi’s pizza, after hearing ads on the radio and seeing them on TV for the past year or so. Sidenote, they have the best local tv commercial I’ve ever seen, most of them are truly awful. We ventured out to Grandview with the intention of getting Bono Pizza, but there was a packed house and four people in line waiting. Bono, I love you, but the time has come to find a bigger space. Anyway, I couldn’t be happier with the pizza and the service at this location. We were immediately greeted by the guy at the counter who was positively exuberant in his happiness that we were first timers. We looked at the menu for a few minutes and placed our order, getting a Margherita with sauce instead of tomatoes and a Marmelletta Amore. Counter guy(wish I could remember his name) threw in a free order of breadsticks and gave us a bonus punch on the frequent pizza card, and also explained the baking instructions. Seriously, that guy needs a raise. The Margherita had some great basil and four kinds of cheese on top, including huge shavings of parmesan. We tried the honey wheat crust for this one, which I found to be not too sweet. The sauce is also really good. Not sure if it is homemade, but it’s got just the right amount of acidity and not too many huge chunks of tomato. The Marmelletta however was the stand out. It sounded awesome on paper and was even better out of the oven. The apricots and gorgonzola balance each other out really well, and the grilled chicken is a nice touch but it would be just as good without. Caramelized onions make anything better, this pizza included. Previously mentioned counter guy was right to recommend the regular crust for this one, as the honey wheat would have made it too sweet. I can see this becoming a regular Friday night thing for us. The pizza is high quality, cooks quickly, and has a gourmet feel to it, yet we paid about $ 13 and had enough leftover for lunch today. Definitely worth a try. Now if only they had a store in my ‘hood.

I live just next to the place, so this is one of my favorite dinner spot. One thing you should know, you have to cook the pizza yourself. I have to say the dough is fantastic, it’s not the thin type italian pizza, rather it’s kinda thick. I personally didn’t really like what the pizza selection that they offer, rather i just make the pizzas myself. The have the famous one with the apricot which is too sweet for my taste. i usually have mine with the garlic base, then i added meatballs, mozzarella, garlic, grilled onions and parmesan. or maybe just tomatoes, basil and fresh mozzarella. And also you should try the tiramisu. It’s really good.

There’s a reason I’ve seen a-many stellar reviews of Mama Mimi’s. It’s true, «good» pizza is often subjective and what tastes good to me, may not taste«good» to you. But I can be quite frank when I tell you that Mama Mimi’s is freakin’ GREAT pizza! Granted, my oven can be temperamental at times, and I’ve made my pie a little crispy on both occasions we’ve picked up from here(hey, did I mention this place is a take-n-bake joint?!) …Now you know. But seriously — the ingredients are fresh, the service is quick and friendly, the breadsticks make a perfect appetizer while you’re waiting for that yeast to rise at home, and for goodness sake you MUST try the Italian Chopped salad. The dressing is one of my favorites! Pssst: You should bottled that, Mimi!

wonderful concepts in the art of pizza. Convenience to the Grandview area. I’m a homebrewer and during my stop at the shared Gentiles, decided to order a pie to take home. They had it done by the time I was finished on the other side of the store. Fast and friendly service, price not bad considering high gourmet quality. Took longer to heat the oven than to bake it, but very delicious when it came out. One star off for providing a measly small container of sauce with the breadsticks.

Amazing! Everything is. The fact that it’s connected to Gentile’s Wine Sellers, the variety and mouth water taste of the pizza, the fact that you can cook it when you’re ready, not when ever it’s delivered, and the service! So nice! But, here’s my story. I was getting ready for an OSU game. Friends were coming to hang at my house. One of my friends was picking up Mama Mimi’s. They open a little late, 12noon. So we had to wait a while for the pie. When we finally got it, I was famished and so excited! But whoever decided that it was a good idea to let me unwrap the pizza must have already been drunk. Just as I was unwrapping, out of the blue, the entire pizza fell to the floor! Well, there goes that. You know, I found out that I’m not the only clutz in Columbus. It turns out that many others have done the same. So, there’s your warning. Unwrap the pizza on a table, with plenty of surface area, not a counter and do not pull the plastic towards you.
