Horrible. As a former Mark Pi’s employee from my early teen years, I’m ashamed to see such lack of care in quality and preparation. Ordered 3 egg rolls, could’ve smashed all three together into a ball of over cooked frozen vegetables because it was so over cooked, greasy and mushy. Both the Hunan and Mongolian beef had a total of probably 9 pieces of small and slimy bits of old egg yolk and flour«marinated» beef. The wife’s hot pepper chicken included a about 5 pieces of chicken that tasted sour. EVERY ingredient in ALL the meals were old and when over cooked made it even more disgusting. They sad part? We had to force our poor kids and ourselves to finish what we could because of the circumstances we were in due to time… Like some of the other Unilocalers, I too have been a customer here from years ago. They say good thing comes with age. sadly that isn’t the case for this location as it appears to be going downhill fast.

Delicious food! Always present staff, the atmosphere is nice and clean… the portions are hearty and if you order it thru the drive thru, the service is also speedy! If you’re in the area and looking for quick & tasty Chinese food… this is the place to stop!

Never a bad meal. Mark Pi’s Express is not fine dining, it’s good fresh food, fast. Made to order.

Good food, fast service, and incredibly friendly workers! Plus the prices are good for the amount of food you get. Came to this Mark Pi’s regularly while growing up and will come back when I visit my mom.

I I love their brown sauce. I am so spoiled for it, I can’t stand to get any other Chinese fast food. I drive out of my way to get it — even though several others would deliver to my office. If only Mark Pi’s would deliver… OHMY!

My favorite fast food chinese joint. I’ve been eating here most of my life and the food is on point to my liking. I recommend the Mark Pi’s Chicken, a crispy chicken coated with citrus infused brown sauce(similar to orange Chkn but better IMO). A favorite is also the Hunan chicken or shrimp(an array of vegetables stir fried in a mild Hunan sauce). With drive thru service, you can get your food on the go if you don’t feel like enjoying food inside listening to chinese instrumentals playing in the background.

I got the orange chicken via Drive-Thru. Very fast service. Prices aren’t too bad. Orange Chicken didn’t have too much flavor, the Lo Mein noodles were great though. Orange Chicken 1−5=2.5. Lo Mein 1−5=4.

My lunch here started out on a very positive note. I noticed the shirt that the gentleman who did most of the cooking had a saying on the back of it, «Woc In Roll.» Anyway, I thought it was funny. And another thing I noticed about this store is that the whole staff is Asian. That boggled my mind. I was expecting to find a bunch of teenagers working. I ordered Sweet & Sour Pork with an extra $.50 for fried rice. The pork was tender, as was the rice. There were the same number of veggies in it that I’d get in any mainstream Chinese restaurant. The only nit I’d pic is that there was too much sauce on my food but that’s easily enough rectified the next time I show up for lunch.

That sounds terrible what some of the other Unilocalers experienced here. I hope they will listen to them. Now onto my personal experiences: I’ve been a customer since I was little. My mom would frequently buy four egg rolls after school at this location. Their egg rolls have a crispy crunch and good vegetable flavor. For the longest time I never went here because I thought there were better restaurants out there. I bought chicken cashew with egg roll and Chinese(unsweetened) ice tea. It was an average amount of food and it tasted pretty good. It highly depends on who cooks your food because once they gave me just a small amount of cashews, and another time there were more vegetables. The chicken seemed consistent with the amount and flavorful. The Chinese tea was very good! This location has their own special dishes(on the wall to the left when you enter by the condiment station). I disliked that they charge twenty-five cents per refill. Once their worker didn’t charge anything which was nice. You know as with all restaurants they put so much ice in the cup so it can be annoying to pay more money to get a refill. All in all I am a fan with the food. They should re-consider their refill charge, and being more consistent with the amount of items in their dishes. I would recommend this place to a fellow friend and Unilocaler! Try Ye Garden across the street, too! :D

I tried the drive-through after finding positive reviews here. I have eaten their #1 several times, and the first few times it did taste good. However, something(I think the oil used in the fried rice) gave me the«olestra effect» EVERYTIME which has never happened to me anywhere else or any other time. Google it if you don’t know what I am referring to… The last time I got the #1, the chicken was rubbery and nasty and I actually think it was rotten. I actually kept the food in my fridge for a few days in case I got food poisoning and needed to get it tested. I’m not going back.

I was recently in town on business. I arrived during a snowstorm, and the roads were a little treacherous… so I looked on Unilocal for something with a good rating and very near the hotel. This restaurant popped up, so I decided to give it a go. I have no real comments about the inside décor. It looked to be located in a former fast food restaurant… basic and quite clean. The guy taking orders could not be more unfriendly. I mention that specifically because everyone else I met in Columbus was so warm and friendly. This guy had serious social problem. But the food… that’s what was really awful. I had an eggroll, hot and sour soup, and their version of General Tso’s chicken. The eggroll was very greasy… so much so that it was inedible. What was supposed to be hot and sour soup was, well, I don’t know what it was. It should have been dark, dark brown and really thick. This was beige, almost yellow… and watery. It was warm, but had no flavor. Since it at least didn’t taste as nasty as it looked, I sipped it down to warm myself up. I then moved on to the chicken… well, no, I didn’t. The chicken pieces were all cooked together into big clumps that couldn’t be cut into smaller pieces. I gave up and opted to try my luck at the vending machine back at the hotel. Yuck.

This is my favorite American Chinese EVER! the people who work here are super nice, super fast & I’ve never had the wrong order! The eggrolls ARE the best, the crab rangoon is also the best & their sweet & sour sauce is so good I could probably live off the stuff! Gross, but try it & you’ll see what I mean! I haven’t had anything here that I didn’t like! Chinese drive-thrus are the greatest invention EVER!
