Always had a positive experience coming here, whether it’s getting food to go or dining in. It’s owned and managed by a local family. I always see the owner and her family members every time I come in. The food is consistently good. I love the babaganoush and the tabouli. I always get them as my sides. The hummus is also pretty good.

Because you cannot give zero stars:( Literally just walked out of the restaurant without ordering. Sat for 15 minutes and was never spoken to once. Tables around me were asked for drink orders, and I sat there waiting for one of the servers on the patio to at least acknowledge me. As I walked out there was someone behind the bar(owner?) with his head down reading the paper. Time to lift your head up and run your establishment. Don’t know if I’d go back to give it a try. But to say I am disappointed is an understatement. Was really looking forward to trying this place.

Delicious! I ordered the chicken shawarma platter with hummus and potato salad and it was super good. The pita bread was just okay, but the chicken was awesome. I’d come back!

I’ve had every vegan option from their menu, and everything has been fantastic! I love Mazah so much, that I had them cater my wedding last May. I find Mazah to be a bit pricy at the restaurant, but their catering prices are so cheap – especially for a wedding! My wedding was at Highbanks Metro Park, and they delivered everything and set it all up for us. Katy, the daughter, and her mother(I didn’t get the mother’s name) do the catering side of the business, and they’re true professionals – they were fantastic!

I’ve long loved Mazah. You’ll be hard pressed to find better Middle Eastern in Columbus; and the service is second to none. Mazah is a guest restaurant at my employer’s cafeteria. Today the folks at Mazah went the extra mile for me. I’m on crutches and the gentleman from Mazah helped me out by carrying my plate, getting my napkins and silverware, and even bringing me a glass of water. The service is hands down the best I’ve ever experienced. All the food is always great and reasonably priced. I’d give Mazah 6 stars if I could.

With mixed reviews of this place, I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. This is on grandview and there was plenty of street parking. We walked in and order drinks. The drinks were very strong and delicious. We split a chicken shwarma dinner sampler that came with 2 starters(choice of soup or greek salad), Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Three Bean & Cabbage Salad, and 2 falafel balls. Another person had a Kefta Kabob. The food had good sized portions and was very very fresh. We split a dessert of Kenafi — good but not your typical dessert. Can’t wait to return!

This is my husband’s and my favorite restaurant. Why? Because the food is wonderful and the staff are friendly and warm. We have gotten to know all the servers and the owners, and enjoy stopping in to see them. Best hummus. Wonderful baba ganoush. Maggie and her kitchen staff put together great schwarma plates! I also love the grape leaves. They serve their own hot sauce on the side, and the potato salad is different and better than anything I’ve previously consumed. There’s another Middle-Eastern restaurant on the same block, and it’s nearly empty every time I walk by. The reason? Mazah. Stop in. If you are a fan of Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food, you may just agree.

Another great experience. The food is amazing, the drinks are great, the atmosphere is pretty cool and they have a great patio(year round). The service is always good and no matter what you order you’re up for a great meal. Parking is plenty(empty Giant Eagle building right across the street from it). Pricing is decent, I’d say $ — $$. Hands down best baba ganoush I’ve ever had.

Stopped in for lunch. Had the fatayer platter and it was very good. You get a lot of food for the price. The fatayer platter came with two pieces of fatayer placed on rice, and it comes with two sides and pita so I got bean salad and baba ghanoush. The fatayer was good but it was my first time having it so I can’t compare. The bean salad was also good, and not just beans. They also gave me a ton of it so it was hard to finish. The baba ghanoush was very good! Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and service was good for the most part. Would stop here again if I’m back in the area.

Very good Mediterranean cuisine. I ordered the falafel platter with hummus and tabouli salad on the side. Everything was very good. I also recommend getting a side of tahini with whatever you order as I thought their tahini sauce was one of the best sauces I’ve ever had. This place is a great value as well. I got a lot of food for $ 10 and everything was delicious. They also bring lots of pita bread with the food.

Loved the food here. We had the dinner for two with veggie grape leaves. You get a bunch of different stuff, all good, but the grape leaves, baba and three-bean salad, which others have mentioned, were the standouts. The house wine is cheap(You have to expect to pay double for wine in a restaurant vs a grocery.) We sat out on the enclosed patio which was very adequately heated(I was skeptical.) The best part of the evening was the service(Paul? I think so) who did a great job making suggestions and just generally being nice. If this place had white tablecloths and waiters in tuxedos, people would happily pay much more… the food would support it. But instead it’s a homey, relaxed bistro atmosphere. Wish we had a place like this in our neighborhood!

Very disappointed. Food was mediocre at best. Plus, I fell for the $ 18 bottle of wine special where you get a $ 7 bottle of wine for $ 18. Service was OK. I had what amounted to grilled chicken over rice. Not much flavor, looked like it was microwaved, not grilled. Came with a side of hummus and tabbouleh. The tabbouleh was not fresh at all and the hummus wasn’t that good either. Now don’t get me wrong, the food didn’t suck, but it just has so much potential and was so disappointing. Next time, going to Aladin’s, three doors down. Should have known better when they had a crowd and Mazah did not…

This was my second time at Mazah and yet again, they didn’t disappoint! I’ve gotten some variation on the chicken kebob platter both times — the three bean salad and baba ganoush are the best sides, hands down. I could eat the baba straight with a spoon — perhaps already have. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting with excellent mood lighting — perfect for either a cozy family dinner outing or a perfect date night. The wait staff and management are very friendly and are excellent about answering questions on the menu — this is clearly a family establishment run with pride. Service is prompt and the premises are well-kept. Get the kenafi for dessert — an unexpected and unique treat recommended by our waitress. Suffice it to say, Mazah is one of my favorite places in Grandview and moreover all of Columbus — I’ll definitely be back soon!

There is a reason Mazah needed to move to a larger space, and the reason that it has had no trouble filling that space post-move: It is delicious! And affordable. If you’ve been to other restaurants serving Mediterranean food then you have an idea of what to expect. They have your usual compliment of dips, salads, and meats. In each case, the quality is excellent. One of the significant areas of differentiation in my opinion is their shawarma. Both the chicken and beef shawarma have a distinctive blend of spices that are unique to here. I have a hard time picking a favorite, as they’re both quite tasty. The texture of the meat is also excellent. In neither case is it dry or chewy. This is particularly notable for the beef, as other restaurants serving a similar dish often have a tougher texture. The dips and salads are also tasty. And they are accompanied by a respectable pita offering. The baba ganoush is not as chunky as some versions, but still has a nice smoky eggplant flavor. Finally, the price is right for the quantity and quality of food. Especially noteworthy is the dinner for two option, which includes two soups or salad, a main option(and falafel) and four dips/salads. Two minor criticism, the fatoush that you get as a side with a meat platter($ 2 upcharge) does not include any pita chips.(Although the full order of fatoush says that they are included there.) Also, the falafel got mixed reviews. Some liked it, while others thought it dry and described the center as a bit«bready». Those minor issues do nothing to diminish my enjoyment and opinion of Mazah however. The only people who are unlikely to be disappointed about its presence in Columbus are the ones running a similarly themed restaurant a few doors down!

We went for Columbus Restaurant week. Parking was easy. The building and dining room were immaculate. We were seated on the patio… yes, the patio in January. MADETHENIGHT! The bistro style patio was enclosed and heated. So cozy! We had a perfect view of everything, even the pay per view on TV inside. Our server was friendly and prompt. She was very hospitable. The falafel, hummus and grape leaves were great. Fresh, flavorful and well plated. A delightful slaw was seved with the grape leaves as well. The lamb kabobs were excellent. Cooked properly with perfect spice. My fataya, soooo bland. I was very disappointed. It seemed like it was missing many things. Like a dry biscuit stuffed with plain canned spinach. I have had better. Dessert was delicious but not spectacular. 4 stars for our first courses, atmosphere, service and drink selections.

Underwhelming. You can get equivalent or better Mediterranean at other places in town for considerably less money. The sampler is a good option to get more bang for your buck as it includes a soup, an appetizer course and an entrée. We sat and waited on several occasions while staff with little work to do stood in front of televisions at the bar watching sports. The alcohol is overpriced, suggesting that you must be paying for the ambiance and experience. Well, we didn’t think the experience was worth the upcharge. Won’t lkely be back when I can get better falafel across town for $ 5. Having put off trying this local favorite of Unilocaler friends, this experience was a bummer.

Not as good as Aladdin’s. That about sums it up, but since Unilocal requires me to write more words to post a review… Food was pretty good, but far from great. The Mediterranean food restaurant culture in Columbus had come a LONG way in the past 10 years. This was OK, but Istanbul Café, Café Shish Kebab, Alladin’s, Jeddo Kebab and others are far better. I appreciate that they have a liquor license and serve beer, wine and mixed drinks. That was good. There, I said something good. Oh, and service was friendly and attentive.

I had a pretty enjoyable dinner here last week, and I’m happy I went. In general, I’m a big fan of Mediterranean food. Mazah had lots of offerings on their menu at reasonable prices, and I got to try quite a few things in their menu. Their falafel is pretty good, as was their lamb. I thought their hummus had a true chickpea flavor so that was quite welcome. For one of my side dishes, I got the potato salad, and was pleasantly surprised when it was made Mediterranean style with spices, parsley, etc. I don’t really think you could go wrong with any of their dishes. However, I didn’t have such a stellar experience with service. It took the waiters/waitresses quite a long time to come over and take our order, and we ended up waiting 45 minutes for our food. We actually had to go up to the counter and ask them to check on our order, since we didn’t have anyone check up on our table in the meantime. I think we had our water refilled once, as our waitress came and collected our checks. So overall decent food, not so decent service.

This place is so good! I had the chicken shawarma player with hummus and bean and rice salad. My friend had the grape leaves with tabouli and baba ghanush. Everything was awesome. So was service.

I had Mazah for the first time this past weekend. I’d always wanted to try it, but I’d forget about it every Saturday, and they aren’t open on Sundays. My girlfriend loves the place. They come to her work often, and she’s been telling me how much she loves it. With the Giant Eagle gone, parking for this place is super easy, since you can just use that parking lot. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and setup nicely, but holy cow, it was ridiculously cold in there. I think every patron still had their jacket it on. We ordered falafel for an appetizer, and it was super delicious, and I really liked their tahini. Plus, it came will a few different pickled vegetables that were tasty as well. For lunch, I went with the beef shawarma sandwich, which is a stuffed pita, and the girlfriend ordered the chicken shawarma platter. I have to say that I wasn’t all that impressed by my sandwich. First of all, the meat is all at the bottom with the tahini sauce and then they stick all of the vegetables on top, and they put A LOT of veggies on top. Problem is, they don’t mix down with everything, so I was basically eating a salad with no dressing, not to mention my pita was completely torn all the way down to the bottom in several places, so everything was falling out. The meat and tahini themselves were pretty tasty, so I’ll give them props for that. I ended up eating most of my girlfriend’s meal, which was a bit better. The chicken had a pretty good flavor, but it wasn’t outstanding. The three bean salad was pretty tasty, but the hummus was just too bland for me. Would I come back here? I might. It may be awhile though, because it’s not exactly cheap, and it definitely wasn’t my favorite Mediterranean food I’ve had in town, but I’m always willing to give a place another shot.
