I can see they clearly don’t drug test their employees. Holy shit. «This McDonald’s franchise is proudly operated by the Mendoza Family» Proudly is a stretch. This McDonalds is terrible. You know you’re in for a good time when you get«yee whatchu want?» Through the drive thru speaker. Cold fries, cold nuggets, and my girlfriend had to remind him we ordered a Coke. The dude was clearly high as fuck. All I could think of was the song«because I got high» by Afroman the entire time. Amusing but mostly frustrating. Yes it’s McDonald’s and I shouldn’t go in with high expectations(no pun intended) but no. Honestly, this is the worst McDonalds I have ever been to.

So, I went through a busy drive thru one afternoon for a cheeseburger and small fry. When I got home I found my burger actually lacked, the meat. So I called an spoke with ray(a manager) who was apologetic and said he would write my name down in a book so I could be comped the next time I came in. I found that helpful. When I came in today, there was only one person in the dining room and one person in front of me. Leonna, the associate at the cash register did NOT ask me to advance to the counter, when I told her the situation, rather than say a SINGLE word to me, she instead just looked over at the man running around doing about 10 jobs and said«ray!» Rather than bother to explain to him what I had just told her, she just pointed at me and I had to explain myself again. He advised her to accept the order and went back to working. She rolled her eyes, didn’t speak to me, didn’t tell me when my order was ready but instead POINTEDATMYBAGANDNODDEDMEOVER and then forgot my drink order. I feel bad for the management staff for having to deal with such horrible customer service. At one point he had to actually ask her to please not lean on the counter in front of customers and to please help wit orders if she had nothing to do. What horrible service in such a nice part of town.

I don’t like reviewing fast-food or chain restaurants, because it’s usually pointless. Any exceptions have to be really really good to get my attention & use my time to leave a review. This is an exception. This is a really, really good example of a McDonald’s. It really is. The only way to review a chain/fast-food place is whether or not it comes up to the standards of that chain. Is the food hot & tasty, or has it been sitting in the warmer for a long while & is now lukewarm & nasty? Are the employees friendly? Does the food taste good & properly-prepared? Is that particular outlet the way the chain *should* be & represents how the chain presents itself? For this McD’s in Clintonville, my answer to all of the above is overwhelmingly positive. Now I rarely — RARELY — eat at McDs or any fast-food; health issues make such things a very chancy proposition, at best(no fault of the restaurants in question, mind). This place is right next to our vet(Clintonville Animal Hospital), and I have to skip eating breakfast/lunch before taking our cats in so I don’t have problems & can get through the appointments without pain meds, so my visits to this McD’s have always been a case of «starved, need food NOW, it’s there, it’s fast, go.» (side note since my last reviews: doctor took me off the gluten-free experiment, as it wasn’t helping & seemed to be making issues worse. Thank GOD, thank GOD, I can have real bread & real pasta again. Folks on the stupid GF bandwagon, take note. And stop cluttering up my Facebook feed and PLEASE leave the GF to folks who truly, medically need it. yeeesh.) Anyway… To the very very good & a pleasant surprise: each time I’ve gotten something from this McD’s, it tastes like it’s been made/fried/cooked just a couple minutes before I placed the order. ESPECIALLY the french fries. Good lord, especially those french fries. Look, McD’s is KNOWN for those fries. They’ve built entire advertising campaigns around them. When Those Fries are hot & right out of the fryer, they’re pure, glorious, guilty addiction… but if they’ve been sitting in the warmer for longer than five minutes, they’re down-right NASTY. Unfortunately, too many McD’s outlets leave the fries sitting for too long, in order to cut corners — BLEAH. But for THIS McD’s, every time I’ve gotten their fries, they’ve been fresh out of the fryer & piping hot. Sheer, guilty pleasure. Yeah, yeah, I love great food, but also trip out on McD’s french fries. I’m weird that way. Also, whenever I’ve gone in, the employees have been friendly, pleasant & polite, and will laugh or joke with me. That is a RARITY in fast-food, and Employees of This McD’s, I truly hope your manager is paying you well & treating you right, because you folks really deserve it. If your manager ISN’T treating you right: Manager Person, you don’t know how good you’ve got it, and you’d better give ‘em raises. Another small touch: I’ve noticed folks come in off the street and just get water off the soda fountain without buying anything… and the employees don’t mind. That’s wonderful! It really is – it’s a small touch of hospitality & courtesy to passers-by that makes a business a «good neighbor». Summary: great example of what a McD’s should be like. Hopefully they keep up the good work!

This McDonald’s got our order so comically wrong. We interacted with 3 people and they were all very confused about a very simple order. I wanted a drink before my hair cut. I decided sweet tea sounded good, and this McDonald’s was nearby. «Hi, I’d like a small sweet tea.» «A large chocolate shake?» «A small sweet tea.» «A large sweet tea?» «…okay, yes.» Meanwhile the screen also has a bottled water on there. Eventually it’s taken off, we drive up to the window to pay our $ 1.08. «That’ll be $ 3.» «Wait, how much?» «$ 3. You had 2 McChickens, right?» «No, one sweet tea.» The lady looked irritated, but eventually got it in there right, and took our $ 1.08. We pull up to the last window. «One sweet tea and one chocolate shake?» They seriously REALLY wanted me to have a chocolate shake, for whatever reason. The tea was good. But geez, I’d be scared to order food here. Won’t be coming back(unless I want some comic relief, i guess).

It took me 17 minutes to get through drive thru. The staff was friendly and apologetic but there is really no excuse for it to take that long.

I’ve never had issues with this McDonald’s, so I’ll give it an average rating. I’ve only used the drive-through, so I’m honestly not familiar with the interior. They have outdoor seating, which is nice. It’s in Old North Columbus right on High St, so I imagine they do pretty good business. There’s a sizable student population nearby. I don’t go here very often, but they’ve never messed up my order. Will return… in six to eight months, when I get McDonald’s again.

Yes this McDonald’s has a few issues with staff being rude at times. I have been coming to this McDonald’s for about 2 years so I know most the crew and managers. The last issue I had was last week my fiancé and I came in and one of our friends was working. The new worker they had got an attitude with us for saying hi to our friend before we ordered our food. They have a new owner from when I first came in. The new owner has turned this location into a better place than what it was. I have called in complaints in the past due to waiting at the front counter for 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. The district manager Kelly took care of that right away. I had my next trip in free which was not my intention at all just wanted the staff to be more attentive to their customers. 9 times out of 10 when I come in I get welcomed by name. Every now and than I get told im not welcome by a manager but its all in fun. I just tell them to go home. The staff that has been here for several months treats each other like family and have told me on several occasions I am not a real customer. I used to come in every day at least twice. Now i come in about 4 times a month if im lucky.

You’ll save time driving to another location. I know I am reviewing a mcdonalds, but that should tell you how bad it is. I’ve worked in fast food before and am familiar with how it works. Not sure what keeps going wrong at this location. I have left the drive through line of this mcdonalds TWICE because of how slow they have been. The other day, I should have driven off(the car behind me did) but I was too hungry. I waited 18 minutes! Not an exaggeration. Pretty ridiculous. They’ve been out of several different items before 9:30 am(even items they serve all day), and I also have almost been given the wrong food on multiple occasions, until I expressed that is not what I ordered. The workers are very friendly however and never forget to apologize. I’m not sure if they are ALWAYS short staffed or what, but something is definitely wrong at this location. You’re better off driving to the one on campus, or on olentangy rd.

I’m not usually someone to frequent a McDonald’s but my husband and I went to the McDonald’s in Clintonville for a hot fudge sundae and a chocolate milkshake. We went through the drive thru and ordered. The worker handed me my hot fudge sundae almost immediately and I started to eat it while we waited for the milkshake. And we waited. and we waited… and we waited… The worker handed us a vanilla milkshake. It was clearly a vanilla milkshake as it was white like vanilla, not brown like chocolate. I told the worker that we actually ordered a chocolate milkshake and she said… and I quote…“my manager told me to tell you the chocolate is on the inside but I don’t think so”. They ran out of chocolate ice cream and tried to convince us that we were morons who didn’t know any better.

If you visit this location, be prepared to wait in line. Forever. Even if there is no line. But there is ALWAYS a line, seeing as how they’re so slow. This McDonalds sucks!

Let me count the way I hate you so. 1: You are incredibly inconvenient when it comes to location Not that youre not in a good location. Far from it. but so help the person who misses turning in for there is NOWAY back. Good luck going down the side streets over here, which by the way are 2 lanes with cars jammed back on both ends… with on coming traffic, thus putting you at risk for head on collisions. Once you turn around, don’t think just because you made it though phase 1 that your ‘clear’…oh no… far from it. I challenge anyone to try and make a left next to McDonalds here and then SAFELY make that left into the parking lot without pissing every other car in the world off. I chose to turn left after missing them(they were on my right so I didn’t see them until I passed them) so I turned left and while trying to turn around I realized I couldn’t since the lanes were too close together. It took me 30 mins to get back to McDonalds 2: your food sucked. It was dry and flavorless… no doubt old. 3: Don’t go down the side streets or you’ll end up on an adventure; a nickname my mother came up with for ‘freakin lost beyond belief’…or in this case, so far from home you’d be pissed to. Im only 3 mins down the rd from this place and somehow, one turn made me 30mins away. ONETURN?! 4: youre workers are rude. VERY rude. SO rude that I would spit in her food if ever given the chance. 5…SO rude that I will list it again. Im thinking of a five letter word that I will not right in case any kids are reading this… it start with a ‘b’ and ends with every other curse word I can manage to think of. DO youself and favor and if you really want to go to a McDonalds, go to the one in Worthington. Yeah… a bit further, but the best McDonalds in town. Really though. Columbus is much more of a Wendies town. Much fresher and the staff doesnt argue with their paying customers.

If there was an option to give this place a zero star review this would be my actual rating. I have tried to go here multiple times because it is close and convenient and every time day or night you will wait in the drive thru for 5 – 10 minutes before they will take your order. Not to mention the food tastes like it has been sitting there for hours once you wait 20 mins in all to get your«fast» food.

One of the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. As much as McDonald’s might have to do with the advent of industrial agriculture, as many poverty-stricken kids as they may have made fat, as many Guatemalans and Colombians as they may have contributed to the deaths of(via Coca Cola exclusivity), McDonald’s at least has a reputation for putting a smile on someone or other’s face. Not so at this location. I have witnessed, on more than one occasion, the associates outright arguing with customers. The most memorable time was when a customer pointed out a discrepancy between what the register was charging for a coffee and the advertised price on the menu. Now, if you know the most basic of your consumer rights, then you know that a business is required to sell you the lowest price they have advertised/posted/etc. So, while it is true these guys were arguing over pennies, 1) what is a worker doing arguing over pennies to begin with? Even if he wasn’t right, give him the five cents and make it up throughout your shift as people leave cents behind. 2) The customer was RIGHT, and not just by default of the old cliché!!! Give this man his fucking nickel! I have watched them turn away customers when their own signs indicate they should be open. Both late at night and early in the morning, I have seen this behavior. Now they are supposed to be 24 hours so maybe this is a rarer occurrence. Not sure. Reason I’m not sure? I don’t go here anymore!!!
