Mikey’s Late Night Slice

Mikeys like many other spots that got too big and lost thier originality has caved to corporate pressure and political correctness ie slut sauce. Now they are no longer carrying all of the Fago canned sodas. What’s next ?? Used to be favorite pizza spot. Not so much now.

Huge fans of pizza & tired of the same kind of wood fired restraunts serving pizza. We had this pizza last night & we all were shocked! The best pizza we have had since we moved here. Hands down… the $ 15 pizza down the road doesnt come close to this pizza. Its amazing. We would reccomend anyone to go to Late Night!

This is great on those late nights after the bar! It was in a truck and we just walked up and ordered! yummmmy will be back!

Brendon is literally the NICEST person I have ever interacted with who works at a restaurant that’s opened pasta 10pm. The pizza is great and the service is top notch and the Duncan at location is amazing and a lot better than the one on high street.

A cheap and delicious option for late night snacking. The staff is always friendly there!

Ordered out late one night while watching movies with my family and so glad we did! My husband and I are trying different pizza places and this one is Awesome! We got the mushroom and garlic pizza and it was so tasty! We tried all the sauces too and they are yummy! We will definitely frequent Mikey’s!

This is my favorite pizza in town. As a former New Yorker, this place is right up my alley. I like my pizza served in triangles, by the slice, and simple, i.e. no fancy toppings. Mikey’s is exactly that.

Really great pizza! The toppings are delicious and the pizza are cut into big slices and are served bubbling hot. I wouldn’t exactly call this New York style pizza since it’s a little too crispy to easily fold it in half but it’s still good nonetheless. What makes it all worth it though are the sauces. I have no idea what is in this orange goo that is slut sauce but I highly recommend trying it on your pizza with a little bit of garlic sauce, YUM!

Always delicious the cashier tonight was also a sweetheart super funny and attentive. Also if they ever have the meatball specialty pizza get it it was absolutely delicious!

Mikey’s has nice thin crust pizza by the slice that comes out with bubbling cheese and warm toppings from their heat lamp oven. I was a bit worried looking at the pre-​made slices that they might just serve them warm, but the quick re-​heat is actually great. I got the spicy ass pepperoni and it was decent but nothing special. And for being «spicy ass» pepperoni, it was pretty mild with a few banana peppers scattered around the pizza. The slut sauce and garlic sauces everyone raves about didn’t impress me much either sadly, and the staff was pretty rude and just seemed like they did not want to be there at all.
Overall, the pizza is decent but overhyped in my opinion and with little space to eat and a pretty poor atmosphere, it’s definitely just a post-​bar stop to me.

REALLY good pizza! I was super impressed. Be aware that the spicy pepperoni is no joke! I only wish they had a few more item options and that they delivered. Their chicken fingers were great too. I’m glad they sell slices or else I would eat a whole pizza!!! Well… maybe ;)

Their food made me so sick. Slices are worth the wait but not a whole pizza. Slut sauce is not that great either.

Tried this place for the first time for dinner tonight. It certainly doesn’t live up the hype you might hear about it, and it’s one of the most overpriced pizzas out there. It was $ 15 when I got it, though I found out they have a special between 5 – 8 and that the price goes up to $ 18 after 8. Definitely not worth it.
I think it’s meant to be food that people eat after they leave the nearby bars. The slices are $ 3 a piece, which is a total ripoff. It wasn’t a bad pizza or anything, just it wasn’t that good and it was overpriced.

This place is the bomb! Pizza slices are reasonable at $ 3, especially since they are about the size of your head. They offer cheese and basil, spicy-​ass pepperoni, plain-​ass pepperoni and mushroom garlic. They also have a weekly special slice and they also offer a vegan personal pizza with veggies and vegan cheese. I tried the Mac and cheese bites which were addicting. The Za is amazing and the wait isn’t bad. They’ve got sauces (I tried slut sauce and garlic — both good) and jalapeños up for grabs. If you’re drunk and get the munchies, Mikey’s is great. And if you’re not drunk, and would like to be, grab a slice and head in. They are literally attached to the bar.

PizzaIsGood. Love Mikey’s, pretty much every location but I love the chicken fingers here! Also Mac and cheese nugs, enough said!

I do not know that there is much about Mikey’s that hasn’t already been said, but it is truly the best «late night» pizza around. Not only is service always stellar but the pizza is never a let down. I also very much enjoy the specialty pizzas they do every month. For the money and the quality you can never go wrong with the multiple locations around town!

Mikey’s was wise to choose this area as their only competition is the neighborhood pizza king Hound-​dogs across the street.
I’m not sure what was going on the night we stopped here, but everything was dead… the bars, the eateries… everything, so we figured it was probably the best night to stop an indulge in a normally packed out establishment. This one sees some traffic, but it’s much better than the Short North locale.
The pizza is my rating. It’s A-​OK. It does not surpass as one of my favorites. The Slut sauce is great as many have overly obsessed about, but like I said… it’s just not one of my all-​time and utmost favorites, but it’s perfectly fine to stop by and try. Hell, it is great for after a nice drunken bar hop, but it’s one of those pizzas you just couldn’t see yourself fighting to get to when sober.
This place has a few tables and chairs scattered about. (Mostly outside)
The staff inside are intimidating, scowling, creatures, but nobody comes to Mikey’s for overwhelmingly delightful service, either.
Not good. Not bad, but just perfectly in between.

Mikey’s is probably one of the most over-​hyped pizzas in existence.
Granted — the pizza isn’t bad, and it’s way better than a 2am bad decision of eating white castle, which I don’t wish on my worst enemy. Actually, the only reason I eat Mikey’s is because a friend lives close by and he insists on eating here. That’s it. I’d rather skip eating, but he always bee-​lines for Mikey’s and gets a large pizza, where, if I’m at the «definitely passing out on his couch» stage, I may eat one slice, otherwise I get the fuck out of there.
It’s good pizza — I’ll echo that. But it’s overpriced as fuck — which I guess fits the hipster mentality that seems to be the «in» thing nowadays. This pizza isn’t some secret recipe, or some «flown in from the coast» — it’s fucking pizza. Thin, greasy pizza.
Enjoy your overpriced pizza, kids, I’ll make my own pies at home.

It s shame that this location has such an awkward setting, I must have passed it three times the first time I went to find the place, and then I still have a difficult time finding an appropriate parking place each time. I’d love to see it in a more accessible location.

I’m sure that I’ve already reviewed Mikey’s pizza overall (probably at the Short North location); this review is actually about this location specifically, rather than the company overall.
The pizza and service are always good, so, that’s fine. It lives up to the LNS name. What kills me, though, is that the flow in this location is SO bad. I practically have panic attacks sometimes just thinking about having to squeeze past all of the people bottlenecked around the door. I know there’s not much to be done about that – I mean, physical space can’t really be altered without major renovation – but if you’re a little claustrophobic like I am and get a little panicky in confined spaces with a lot of other people, try the Short North location. Or have a friend retrieve your slices.
If only they’d snagged a location with two doors…
