National Tire and Battery Ntb

Last Friday night I was headed home from work for the weekend. Hit a pothole. Flattened a tire. Back to NTB to see if this tire was still under warrantee. My experience with Kent this time has caused me to return to Unilocal and give this place another star. Yippee! Kent was awesome. Got me scheduled. Diagnosed the problem. Replaced the tire and had me back on the road in no time. Didn’t play around offering a bunch of add-​ons. I appreciated that! I’d already been through enough automobile drama with the pothole and flat, I didn’t need anything but a quick solution to get back on the road again and enjoy the rest of my weekend!

I usually go to the dealership for everything, that said I really can’t find much to complain about for this place despite the unhappy campers who have reviewed before me. It had just snowed but I had an 9am appointment for my car to get 2 new tires, an oil change, and the brake fluid replaced. When I arrived 20mins early I expected to have to wait a while for being early… nope! They took the car right in and said it would be about 2 hours for everything. 30mins later they came back to the waiting room to inform me of hos horrible my ball joints (and arms) were on the front tires and handed us an estimate. The tires here (we opted for the better tires here since they’re cheaper here then the dealer) were $ 124 each ($ 135 w/​all inclusive), the oil change was $ 20 (and they rotated our tires for free w/​this), and the brake fluid flush was $ 69, all great prices compared to the dealer and other local places. To get our ball joints replaced it was an additional 5 hours and $ 1027 (2 arms, 2 ball joints) … ouch!
In the end we waited a total of 5 hrs and 40 mins and since we had some issues with prices they threw in a free tire and 2 free oil changes. It may have been a grueling experience but they made us feel at home and like we were being taken care of. it would be nice to note that 2 of those hours was due to them having a really hard time getting a corroded bolt off in order to get my tire off and then having to wait while some guy delivered the parts from the other side of the city in a pretty bad snow storm. We walked to walmart, which is right across the street and passed the time rather quickly. We will defiantly be back for any future repairs!

Over 60 days since the Regional Sales Manager contacted me about my experience and to this day still waiting on my solution. Very sad. :(

Took my car to this NTB to get the oil changed. Asked them to check the coolant fluid. They said that it was included and that the will rotate and check the pressure of the tires. After I got the car home I noticed a tire looked kind of low. I checked the pressure on all of the tires and only one was at the correct psi. So I decided to check the other fluid. The oil did look like it had been changed but the coolant fluid was still low. So, when they say they will check all fluids, tires and rotate, don’t believe it. Never going back to this place.

This is the second unplanned trip to NTB in about a week. This time, to the one across town. I stopped in after a check engine light came on fearing the worst. ESPECIALLY just having paid out a decent sum for brakes.
Again, I can’t say enough good things about the friendly, knowledgeable associates at this location. They were flexible, honest, and fully explained anything and everything that I needed to know without scaring me into more work or higher priced items. While I’d rather not need to see them, it’s a relief knowing that when something goes wrong with my car, they are there.
