thumbs up guys … ! had a panini and it was really good… while there were lot of other options, I only eat chicken and it was well cooked…

My favorite place in the area to get a sub! They have whole deli pickles– which is literally my favorite thing to eat in the world. One of the only place around that has then! Staff is helpful and super friendly. Recommend!

Great customer service. Small mom and pop shop. The menu is cute because it’s on a chalk board. I had the California breakfast sandwich without the bacon. It was strange at first because the egg wasn’t seasoned as I like my eggs. The avocado, cheese and oil overpowered the sandwich initially; however, when I took a few more bites I began to like it. I had eggs on the tomato bread which was delicious(I’m a bread fatty). I also ordered a chocolate cookie which tasted pretty good. They were not very pricey and there is a decent amount of parking. Side note: They are expanding their breakfast menu.

I came to Columbus for a doctor appointment. I was alone and I was trying to find A LOCAL and NON Chain like restaurant. I think I found my Deli Home! If you’re into a small unique place you need to eat here. Your sandwich is freshly sliced meats. I cannot say how great this place is enough. After a not so great appointment being an hour a half away from home… I love NEIGHBORS!!! PLEASEEATHERE!

The owner here in a trip. Reigning behind the counter he looks and seems like a hyper-manic Buddy Holly hopped up on a nearly deadly level of vitamin B3. He’s loud, in a good way, and seems to have a passion for delicatessen artistry, going at his task with total abandon. Accenting the neighbor in neighborhood, he knows his customers, chatting with them cordially. I wish I’d tried this place before. The space is small, like a closet tight Subway or take-out pizzeria in the University district; it reminded me of Clintonville/North Campus for some reason. Checkered tablecloths, sarcastic memes on the wall, and a rarity for the 1980s stripmalls that line Henderson Road – an expose brick wall adds a bit cooler environment than what you usually find in Northwest/Upper Arlington restaurants. The deli meal I had was excellent. I had a full size ham & turkey hoagie topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo. A little over a foot long, the meat was fresh, cold and flavorful. The comparison with pseudo-delis like Subway or Firehouse Subs the taste of the cuts were HD visuals to their AM wireless – no way should anyone visit fast food fakery down the street save free food. This place is quality. The Bacon was crispy and at the perfect quantity to add to the taste but not dominate. The veggies and mayo here are as like. They also offer thick deli sandwiches, breakfast dishes, paninis, and wraps. Cookies and rolls are available for sweets, chips, drinks, and $ 1.99 kid sandwiches. Prices here are higher than it’s lesser competition – my sub cost $ 13-something, but you get a thick serving of quality meat. It worth it. It is a nice spot for the area.

Put down the final bite of my club wrap and immediately had to write this review. My highest compliment is the serving size. You will not leave disappointed. They are extremely generous with the portion size. All the ingredients were so fresh too. The meat tastes great. It was awesome. If you eat a 5 dollar foot long at subway, you’re still hungry. If you eat one wrap here, you’re stuffed all day. Prices are reasonable too. I’m very happy with the experience here. I live on the east side of Columbus, but whenever I’m on this side of town from now on I’ll be stopping here.

So I always love taking recommendations from friends and family… Well today I decided to take a recommendation from a friend and go to Neighbors Deli for their BLT. I would have to say it was the worst BLT I have ever had and the most expensive ever! The bacon was extremely over cooked almost charcoal. Because I figured my friend wouldn’t stir me wrong, I thought I would call them and let them know that there was something wrong with the sandwich because after I ate it my stomach became extremely upset. Well I’m not one to complain and I’m also not one that repeat business when the owner was nothing but rude! I told him the bacon was over cooked and he actually said that someone wouldn’t get sick on over cooked foods me. He asked if there was mayonnaise on my BLT, well DUH, what BLT doesn’t have mayo… Then he proceeded to say that their mayo wasn’t bad so I couldn’t have gotten sick in that either! Could he have just said thank you for letting me know and move on… not impressed! I will not recommend them to anyone. Sorry!

Things I Liked: The owner being overly passionate sometimes borderline mad. I know that offended some, while it reminded me of angry new yorkers and delicious NY deli sandwiches, but I know some people can be super sensitive. My first meal here was a little over $ 10, included half reuben, puckle slice, chips, drink, and a frosted cookie sandwich. All in all that was a good value, and Im planning to go back and try other sandwiches to see if they are equal/better/worse. While I can see how the service can be slow at times, I did keep in mind they are making fresh sandwiches, not corporate premade crap. Im ok with waiting for good food. I like the place, and added it to my rotation of sub shops(which does not include that Eat Fresh Subshop, gross) P. s. rumor has it they stopped being a jersey mikes due to greedy corporate franchise fees. Which I totally believe franchise fees can be fair at times, but some just get greedy. Good for the owner to break away and go solo.

Best Reuben in Columbus. Their prices are a little high but when you see the sandwiches, you realize quickly that you get what you pay for. I’ve tried the Monster Deli Sandwiches, Subs and Paninis and I can honestly say I haven’t been disappointed yet. My personal favorite is the Hondo, a nice pastrami sandwich with sliced pickles, onions, spicy mustard and cream cheese. I used to work at a deli that put cream cheese on sandwiches and this is the first one I’ve come across in Columbus to also have this glorious practice! I am a personal fan of their Cheddar Mac Salad as well, and could probably eat it everyday. If you are looking for an authentic deli with a lot of options, then Neighbor’s is the place to go.

I live right across the street this place is so good, super fast, and very nice employees. Plus it has that awesome mom and pop shop vibe so you can feel good about giving your money to this small business. The only reason they dont get 5 stars is its tucked away pretty hidden in a shopping center and has no street signs to advertise I feel like this place is always super slow when it does not need to be. But every other aspect of this place is fantastic.

We come here for the Reuben’s. Tried others as well, all are good, but we love the Reuben’s can’t get enough, with an extra pickle of course :) yum one last thing we never had a customer service issue weather they are busy or slow I am surprised to read the other reviews.

Great food. Great personal service. We’ve been 3 times in 2 months and the owner even had our order memorized and said it to us right when we walked in the door. This establishment deserves 10 stars for both their normal menu and their excellent breakfast menu. This place isn’t cheap, but they use quality ingredients cut right in front of you.

This place is really just a Jersey Mike’s in disguise. I would call it a glorified Jersey Mike’s, but there’s really not much glorious about it. The sandwiches a group of us had were average to below average. This place should really be a 2.5 star. I remember when this place actually was a JM’s, and they really didn’t do anything to change the setup, but they did add more sandwich options, and maybe that was our problem. We went with the old tried and true Italian sub and Philly cheesesteak. I didn’t experience an owner yelling at employees as previous reviewers have said, but I did get to experience the slowness of the rest of the staff. Thankfully, we were first in line, but I feel sorry for the group that came in behind us. The Italian and cheesesteak sandwiches are exactly the same as Jersey Mike’s, so just picture those but add incredibly stale bread that crumbled apart at each bite. My buddy and I ordered giants and managed to put them down, but after finishing the first half, I really didn’t want to. I think the only thing that kept me going was not wanting to waste food and not wanting to eat it later. I had wheat and he had white bread by the way, and they both were stale. Maybe they just don’t make bread on Sundays, or maybe they just left bread out from the day before and were finishing that up? Whatever it was, I don’t want it again. It’s possible that this was a fluke, considering all the other great reviews for this place, but it also sounds like the quality of food here has gone down over time. If I ever find myself in here again, I’ll probably lean toward the paninis and less traditional Jersey Mike’s sandwiches. Even the chocolate chip cookie sandwich with cake frosting in the middle couldn’t brighten this meal for me. :*(

This is certainly one of the best sub shops in the area, with great breakfast sandwiches and a wide variety of subs for lunch.

Another rave: This place is soooo good!!! My brother – who knows his sandwiches! – recommended this restaurant to me and I finally made it in the other day. The cubano changed my life(that sauce!) and there are like six others that I want to try. I don’t consider myself a sandwich fanatic or anything, I like a decent sandwich as much as the next guy, but this is like what sandwiches were meant to be. Super good service, the owner is obviously pouring his heart and soul into the business. Four stars because it’s tad pricey, but $ 10 for a great sandwich + drink + chips isn’t over the top.

Only problem you’ll find with this joint is parking. At lunch time, I had to park behind the gas station because there was no spots available. Food is fantastic here. I suggest the Monster Deli sandwiches. They live up to the name. My fave is the BLT, which looks like half a pig piled on sourdough with some red and green garnish. The staff is fun, friendly, and fast. The ingredients are fresh, with cheeses and meats sliced right in front of you. And the portions are big for the price.

sooo good! not sure if you can go wrong with anything you order here. i love local anything and this deli hits the spot. also, the staff is always so happy and nice! less one star because it’s just a liiittle bit pricey, but they certainly don’t cheat you on the meat. also, more veggie options would be nice.
