Look for items made in USA and not China, nada! They may look handmade but they’re not. Many of the items copy the designs of craft artists but they’re made in China. This needs to stop.

Buy 3 cards, get 3 free, is the special for the holidays. Paper Thread is a store that covers all crafty hobbies, gifts, party uniquities, and invitations. As I started getting deep into the card(I had to find the perfect 6), I thought to myself that they have great cards, some that I have never seen before, but mixed in were American Greetings that you can also find at CVS or Giant Eagle. It wasn’t a negative thought for me, the pricing is the same, I just thought it was interesting. If you are a Martha Stewart wanna-be, this would be a good store to shop. The back of the store is where all the invitations and make your own supplies are kept. I would recommend it for baby announcements, engagements, parties, etc. The employees are very sweet and helpful. It’s obvious that they enjoy the craft as much as the customers do. Oh, I almost forgot, they have a photo booth!!! So much fun!

Located in Polaris Mall, Paper Thread is one of those too-neat stores — unique, trendy stationery, fun gift ideas, «handmade» purses. Walking in, you feel like you’re in a boutique rather than a suburban shopping mall. It’s a very full store. Everywhere you look, there is something to catch the eye or something neat to pick up. That’s not a a bad thing necessarily. The store manages to not feel cramped or crowded. The service is friendly and helpful yet they don’t hover and give the impression that you have to make a purchase. At Christmas time they had a better-than-average selection of cool holiday cards. Inexplicably, my wife and I found some that both family and friends would be happy with.
