My wife has been trying to get some help from the Eastside Dermatology & Skincare Center for over a year now. They have been completely un-helpful and incompetent in treating her. It’s so bad there that I would not even send my dogs to them for any type of treatment. To my point, she went to see them originally for painful cysts and severe readiness on her face. They apparently have no clue on how to treat her and don’t even know what Scleroderma or Crest Disease are. Both of which are conditions that a Dermatologist should be well versed in and educated about. It took an Arthritis doctor to formally diagnosis her with both Scleroderma and Crest Disease. Interestingly enough, it seems that when we reached the maximum amount they could get out of our insurance company, they decided to stop treating her and now wanted to refer her to a another«specialist» at OSU for her condition(How very convenient for them). However, due to their careless and carefree practice it took over a month for them to actually refer my wife to OSU. And this was only finally accomplished my wife called them 3 times and had 2 in person office visits. How incompetent can they be there??? Also, when she called for an additional prescription of a medicine that they prescribed for her, she was refused a refill by the office, citing that since they referred her to OSU they would no longer treat her(WHATTHEHECK???). Eastside Dermatology & Skincare Center is so poorly run and mis-managed that they only had a PA-C(Physician Assistant — Certified) attending to my wife. Yet, when they billed her insurance company they said that one of the other doctors are treating her, not the PA-C. This sounds like up-charging to me, which I’m certain is an illegal practice. We are now reporting this to our insurance carrier for a full investigation against them and their overall business practices. I truly hope no use their practice and if you have similar problems or concerns with them be sure to speak out about it. In addition, we have now just spoke with our Family Doctors Office/Practice concerning these issues and asked that they no longer refer any more patients to them based on the lack of care or regard for concern over my wife’s condition and their very poor treatment/handling of the situation.

Extremely rude staff, questionable billing practices. Went in January 2013 to Eastside Dermatology’s Hilliard location to have a cyst removed from my neck. I paid cash(700+ dollars) for the service that I was explicitly told covered the lab fees. This was confirmed by their billing department. Now I have received numerous«Final Notices» for 90 dollars from Dermpath, the diagnostic service that tested the cyst for any forms of cancer. Dermpath, claims that the billing instructions were to bill the patient(me). Calling Cindy in their billing department has not helped, she said to call Dermpath. Dermpath says to call Eastside Dermatology. When I called Eastside Dermatology to get this taken care of, the receptionist was rude, and didn’t care enough to address the issue. I get that mistakes happen, but to not do anything about it is ridiculous.
