Phia Salon

This was my second visit and I have no complaints. My hair stylist was Sabrina and she did exactly what I asked for. I wanted layers but to keep the length. I showed her a few pictures and she nailed it!!! Sabrina is also very friendly and sweet. I know many stylist have difficulty with Asian hair bc of the thickness but she handled my hair like a pro. I highly recommend going to see her for a hair cut.

I got a partial one color balayage and a designer cut: $ 233. I chose this salon because of its great reviews and I was very impressed with the salon itself. I got a free scalp massage with the service and a great new hair cut. The balayage was alright; it looks very natural, which I wanted, but so natural that it looks like nothing was done.
My stylist did a great job, she is not the problem at all, but its not worth what it cost. If you have the money and you wanna splurge, this is a great place. otherwise, you can get the same job for cheaper somewhere else.

I had the worst two toned hair before the appointment. It has been over a year since I’ve had color in my hair. My roots were dark and my tips where bright blonde. My wedding is less than a week a way. Raina came to my rescue! She texted me a few days before my appointment to get an idea what I wanted and the state of my hair. We went over what was realistic in the short time I had. Her balayage skills are amazing. She was able to squeeze me in for one more session in a couple of days to get it to the level I wanted!
The staff was super nice. Very helpful! Being a first time client I received a bag of goodies! Definitely made a regular client out of me!
My only regret is… I truly believe I didn’t tip enough. I will make sure to make up for it on Saturday! :)

Great service! I don’t know if it’s a Midwestern folk thing but the employees and stylists here are so nice! I loved them all.
One con: I noticed their level one stylists are not very skilled, but their prices are still mad high. Maybe I’m too poor, but if I pay $ 100+ per session, I expect a bad ass haircut. On the upside, both their level one stylists were honest with me about not being confident enough to give me the cut I originally wanted.
Thanks for your kindness and honesty, your prices are unreasonably high though.

Pleasurable experience with the Phia staff as they greeted at the door while following up with the entire team checking on me and catering to my needs. All worked together for a satisfying experience.

The atmosphere is so friendly. From the receptionist to the stylist who did my hair and the stylist doing my friend’s everyone was just so nice. The coworkers like one another and consulted one another if they needed a second opinion on a style. Also, the salon wasn’t full of inappropriate gossip. Everyone was chatting, but it was relaxing and happy talk. Everything was clean. I’ll definitely go back.

I’ve been to both Phia and their sister location Philosophi on three separate occasions. I went to philosophi for a color correction after my last visit to Phia, and unfortunately, I won’t be going back to either location. I’d asked to have my hair balayaged, but walked out with streaky, chunky highlights. It truly looks awful.
I felt as though I was given a sort of attitude by both stylists (the one who’d done my initial color and the one who was assigned to correct it) and they seemed annoyed that I came back to fix a problem that could’ve been eliminated if I’d gotten my initial request (balayage) performed the first time. I don’t believe that the stylist who was assigned the color correction was skilled in performing the balayage treatment, which is fine, but I would have preferred that I’d been paired with a stylist who is.
Rather than continue to go back and forth between the two salons hoping to have my initial request fulfilled, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

First time in Phia and it was a great and easy experience. Stevyn was wonderful and I left with the perfect haircut for spring. They even sent me home with a welcome gift bag. Will definitely return for my next cut.

Out here in a business so searched Unilocal for a great salon for a haircut. I came across Phia and was impressed by the talent Phia has. The hair colors that were achieved in client pictures were so beautiful and vibrant. I called and scheduled an appointment and was scheduled with Stevyn.
When I arrived I was greeted by the front receptionist and was asked to fill out a questionnaire of sorts. It was really detailed in asking what kind of salon experience I would like and what my concerns were. I was then taken back by Stevyn who was charming and peppy.
We sat down and went over the style I wanted and as apart of Phia’s process they also recommend a second option breaking down the price for both. I went with my initial style, A-​Line Bob. Stevyn mentioned my haircut came with a complimentary scalp massage, mini facial or hand treatment. I went with the scalp massage.
Stevyn was very knowledgeable and suggested products for the concerns I had with my hair. I was happy with my cut and the service provided. I also purchased the two products he recommends and was also given an Aveda bag with extra goodies such as a hand lotion, coupons for free services.
I really like the attention to detail and extra amenities they offer. It’s a shame I will not be getting my hair cut here again as I live in California, but should I be back in Columbus I will definitely make it a must to get my hair cut here again. Maybe I’ll even have it colored.

Thought I should update my review of this place since it’s been a good year or two since my last one. Still 5 stars, and has been every time since I first came here in 2011.
Wonderful service and experience. My most recent appointment was exciting for me, because Sarah had let my hair grow out the past two sessions, so that she could give me the layered, tempered look that I wanted in the photographs I showed her. She did such an amazing job! She enhanced my blonde color for the better, but instead of my hair being dry and having that «fried» feel, my hair is super soft due to the high quality products she selected. Love it, and love the mini-​facial «sensory experience» Phia offers.
My hair is thin, straight, and used to become greasy simply from *thinking* about working out. No longer! Between the beautiful hair coloring, cuts, and glorious Aveda shampoo from Phia, I can think about working out… and then maybe actually work out… all while remaining gorgeous the entire time.
I began going to Phia in 2011, because I was a fan of Aveda products. I consider myself to be pretty picky when it comes to maintaining my hair, both in terms of color and cut, so I figured that I’d have to try a few places in Columbus before finding my soul-​salon. Nope! Not only is the staff welcoming and friendly, but the aesthetics are reviving, and the prices are quite reasonable for the high quality results!
Also, I always feel like the center of attention when I visit Phia. I have compared the experience to Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, when she first visits Oz and everyone is fussing over her, doing her hair, etc. Thank you Sarah and Phia, for helping me feel beautiful and confident inside and out!

I had a great experience at Phia salon last week. Kole did my haircut and partial highlights and did a wonderful job. I have long blonde hair and I like very fine highlights that blend and look natural and Kole did exactly what I asked for. She also applied a conditioning treatment which made my hair very soft. I am new in Columbus and found out about Phia through Unilocal.The staff was very friendly and I used Unilocal’s special deal without any problem. I am very happy with the services I got and plan to come back.

I recently used Phia for my wedding. Two stylists, Ryann and Nikki, did hair for me and my entire bridal party, including the moms. They were SO wonderful. Everyone loved their hair and we all received multiple compliments over the course of the day. They were also super speedy, finishing before the allotted amount of time, which was great for last-​minute adjustments. Ryann and Nikki were friendly, fun, easy to work with, and highly professional. I would recommend them to any bride looking for a gorgeous hairstyle for their wedding. I was so happy with my hair, I cried! I love Phia (I currently go there for my regular hair needs to see Lindsey) and will continue to sing their praises to anyone who will listen. I’ve even referred a number of friends to the salon and they have all been more-​than-​satisfied with their experiences.

My wife loves this place! Went in from a groupon, and she is hooked. Loves it! She raves about kole her stylist! Prices seem good, she loves the ambiance of the place too. Convenient location. Def recommend!

I am beyond grateful from the hair style I got from Erin/​Aryin. I received a text message from her before my appointment providing details about my appointment. I have tightly coiled hair, kinky hair and she is applauded for not screaming when I sat in her chair. She handed my kinks with the grace of a well trained stylist. My kinks and curls turned into smooth, silky straight strains.

My last experience at Phia was great! The wait time before my appointment was appropriate, staff was nice and accommodating and I always enjoy being offered a beverage. Shout out to Lindsey Hyde for giving me an awesome cut. I have seen her twice and each time I’ve been extremely satisfied. Not only did I receive compliments from fellow staff members about my new cut, my friends and family ranted and raved about it! Overall, I love Phia and I’m happy I finally found a stylist that I trust to cut my thick hair type.

I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Michelle on very short notice.
I received an email from her asking what I would like to get done for my appointment as well as any other expectations. I showed some photos and explained what I would like to get done.
The day of my appointment went great. She cut my hair dry, which I had done before and didn’t like, but she did it so professionally that I am shocked others do not. She asked me what products I use and how I style my hair. She was attentive and understood perfectly what I wanted. We pretty much just made it up as we went but I feel that it works better that way.
Michelle was super nice and down to earth. It was pricey, and very salon like, but the professionalism is honestly worth it. If I can afford it I will definitely go back. I am so glad that I snagged a groupon to try them out.
And first time visitors get a goody bag with samples and future discounts.

I’ve been going to Phia Salon for about three years and for good reason. Their prices and ambiance are top notch.
When my first stylist left the salon unexpectedly, Phia gave me discounted services for close to a year just so that I would stay a loyal customer. And I did. My current stylist is top-​notch.
The ambiance is great. They play good music but not too loud, staff is friendly, and it’s clean. I also love Aveda products because they smell sooo good so that’s also a big selling point. They go for a «no judgment» vibe which I can appreciate. Have you ever been to a salon where you feel like everyone stares at you when you walk in?! I hate that crap.
For the most part their prices are fair and on the average. I did have some highlights done recently and I thought it was a little expensive. But my stylist is top-​tier so I guess that’s why. They sell the Aveda products which are expensive too but each visit your stylist will show you what they used and they add it to your file. Then, if you want to come back and buy some, they can tell what they used during a previous visit. I thought that was pretty cool.
Anyway, I love Phia and I will continue to go there for as long as they keep doing what they’re doing.
