I’ve been eating here for over a year and everything I’ve tried has been excellent.

Was really excited to eat here, until I actually ate here. The food was eh so so? Can’t say it was really that good.

Went to their site and after noticing they serve breakfast and a «gyro gravy» on the weekend decided to try this place out on a Saturday morning. I had the Mediterranean Breakfast Skillet for $ 9.99-home fries with onions and peppers, topped with gyro meat and two fried eggs, covered with gyro gravy with a biscuit on the side. I would have preferred my eggs over-easy but one was partially over easy, the other over-hard. Point is, specify what you want. The biscuit was actually very nice. Salty and buttery, like Bob Evans, but smaller and denser. My iced tea was fresh brewed and refreshing, which is sometimes a deal breaker for some. Over all, I was pleased. Girlfriend got the french toast with bacon and Pomegranate syrup. It was what it was-french toast. Nothing special but still well executed and tasty. Coffee was very good and again, fresh. Overall friendly staff and clean, professional environment. I will now have to go back and try their dinner menu.

Knocked down a star for their removal of the delicious Moussaka from the menu. Why, oh why?! The lemon chicken soup is still delicious, the pecan chicken and rice isn’t as good as it used to be, and I think it’s a little pricey now for what you get. Still good, just not great like it used to be.

The last time we ate there the food wasn’t as good as the times we had eaten there before. Our server was very friendly and was great at her job. A few weeks before we had a waitress who was hopeless but our food was awesome. I love the interior. I hope next time we get the good waitress and the good chef… then I will add another star.

Good solid place for some excellent food. I have been to Pomegranate several times and always had a good experience. We have had excellent servers who know the menu and how to guide the customer to make a good selection. The Lemon Chicken soup tastes and feels like it could be a cure for the common cold. Just the right balance of spicy heat and lemony goodness. I could have just this for my lunch! The Pecan Chicken is wonderful, particularly when served over the tiny pasta(sort of like orzo) which has been cooked in chicken broth and a touch of cinnamon. And the Moussaka is wonderful as well. My husband had a lamb dish that he thought was wonderful. Last time I took home a piece of Baklava for dessert later and it was great, traditional and yummy without being cloyingly sweet like some versions typically are. Dependably good food at a reasonable price and you’ll usually have left overs for lunch the next day!

Good mediterranean food! My boyfriend’s family was in town and we wanted to them to try Pomegranate. We all ordered something different(there were 6 of us) and we all sampled each others food and EVERYTHING was good! My favorites are actually 2 of their soups, the crab bisque and the butternut squash soup. The crab bisque has a little spice to it but it’s so good! And the butternut squash is definitely sweet but also really good. Their hummus & gyro’s are also really good.

I thought the food here was way overpriced for the quality and taste of the food. I’ve had better, I’ve had worse, but would have been easier to swallow if it were cheaper. I had the gyro hummus plate. I didn’t care for the gyro meat. It was sliced really thick, more like chopped. I prefer the shaved meat you get everywhere else. The big pieces made it taste like a low qualit meat to me, seemed fatty or something. The chicken lemon soup was good. It didn’t taste like any other I’ve had, which was unexpected but cool. I think I detected a hint of curry. Overall a disappointing dinner. Our server was very nice though, and I had a good beer.

I’m not a fan of the house dressing… a gyro doesn’t have«house dressing». Honestly this why they didn’t get another star on top of charging an extra $.75 for feta… it’s taking inflation to the max. But yea for friendly staff and sinful chocolate cake!

Restaurant is nestled in a shopping center on Hamilton Rd. Probably would have never noticed it except a friend recommended the place. Owners are very friendly. They stopped at my table several times to make sure everything was good. I had the Signature Pomegranate Salad which was very delicious. I loved the pomegranate salad dressing. The salad is a little on the sweet side with cinnamon pecans and grapes. I also had the gyro pita. Just okay. They use a house sauce which I didn’t think had much taste. The menu says they have a spicier version that I would like to try. I also tasted my friends falafel which was good. They have a pretty large menu with quite a few things I want to go back and try. Butternut Squash soup, greek salad, avocado rolls. Definitely going to try to make a trip back soon.

Had the calamari as a an appetizer. Cooked perfectly and good price. Had shwarma pita. Was good and not overloaded with onion or lettuce as some places do. I would recommend getting the house sauce, kinda like tzatziki with some spice. Also had the pomegranate salad, the dressing was a nice light vinaigrette and the candied pecans were a nice touch. Baklava was meh. It didn’t have enough honey and Instead of the walnuts being crushed between many different layers of phyllo, it had one large layer of walnuts sandwiched between several layers of phyllo. Not really the standard way to make. For a beer, calamari, two pita sandwiches and two salads and baklava our tap was only $ 36.

The Pomegranate is one of those strip mall surprises. I decided to try it out after several recommendations. The chicken shawarma gyro was delicious and will definitely have me coming back. Service was attentive and I liked the relaxed atmosphere. This is a great local option in the area compared to the many chains.

I like the Pomegranate a lot. I love there chicken sandwich that they have there. The wait time is never long. You order your food and it is there in minutes. Love that. The owner is there most of the time so that is also cool cause he comes around to every table and makes sure that everyone is enjoying themselves. One time he came to my table and asked me if everything was okay. He noticed that I didn’t touch my fries. I told him they were cold the waiter had gotten my order wrong so I am waiting for my for to come out. He got me new fries and when time to leave. I didn’t see a recent. He had taken care of it. Good food goes far with me but awesome customer service goes even further.

In short, pretty good! We had a pretty complicated order, but the service and food overall passed with flying colors. We tried 4 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 1 dessert. They ranged from ok to yum-i’d-get-this-again. I wouldn’t get the tabbouleh again. I like my tabbouleh 90% parsley and 10% bulgur wheat, and extra lemony. Pomegranate’s was mostly bulgur wheat, so it was kind of like a pasta salad. Most of the dishes were a bit oversalted too. Now for the good stuff. The dishes I really liked were the lemon chicken soup, pomegranate salad, spicy chicken, and red pepper salmon(salmon was the least salty entrée – yay!). And from what I saw, the Shrimp and Lobster pasta had a LOT of shrimp and lobster. The service was outstanding. Our server, David, was really nice and had a good sense of humor. The owner also went around to each table to see how we were doing. The timing of the food coming out was good too. Good portions.

Went for a 2:00 lunch; I was the only one there. Menu is comprenesive for a mediterranean restaurant, but the overall feel was not. Waitress was very nice. I ordered the jerusalem salad lentil soup combo. Soup was great, salad had greens which is unusual, and a bit too much lemon. Overall it was good. Funny though, they served no pita and when I asked, it was extra $. When I complained, waitress talked the«owner» into a few slices. Don’t you think this should be standard to serve pita, especially for what it costs. On the east side; Mad Greek on E. Broad is way better and a better value!

On a recent trip to Columbus, my boyfriend & I wanted to try something different for lunch. His children live in the area & suggested we give the Pomegranate a try. What a great find! I had the Paella, which was pretty good… but my boyfriend had Pecan Chicken which was outstanding. I couldn’t keep my fork out of his plate. The service was very attentive without being overbearing. We plan on going back on our next trip.

Although it’s a stripmall restaurant outside, it’s well decorated inside. Saturday PM dining. It was full, with a 4 minute wait. Our server helped us navigate our first Mediterrananean menu. The Entertainment Book brought us here, and the Mgr and Owner were happy to hear it. We each had the sample entrée’s with 3 choices each. Most were worth ordering again. We both found the grape leaves unremarkable. The desserts looked fabulous, and almost everyone in the place were ordering it. The cake had nuts, so we had the cookies with the milk chocolate center. ASKYOURSERVERTOHEATTHEM. We felt that the cookies were a great way for people to satisfy their sweettooth without commiting to the HUGE dessert slices. We will return. It will be after the cold weather, when the cold air can’t rush in through the door to chill our food so quickly. Pros: frindly staff Cons: no wind break

It’s true, there seems to be an obsession with pomegranates these days. So why not have a restaurant with that name, even if not everything has to do with the fruit? They do have some pomegranate items on their menu, such as pomegranate iced tea, pomegranate coke, pomegranate juice, pomegranate wine and pomegranate salad dressing. Now what kind of food would it have? Well, did you know that pomegranates come from the area around the Mediterranean? Yup, and Mediterranean is the type of food that’s on the menu; mostly eastern like Greece and the Middle East. The décor is even made to look like a Mediterranean villa. Wrought iron bistro tables and chairs are sat up high with plants and flowers. Paintings of white houses upon seaside hills hang on the walls. Lighting is low and the walls are a muted golden yellow and dark red, for a relaxing date mood. The food was pretty good. I’ll be honest it took me a while to decide what I thought of it. I had the Mediterranean pizza with feta cheese, red peppers and spinach on a thin crust. It wasn’t what I had envisioned, but that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing. The crust was just plain crust but they were generous on the feta cheese and the vegetables were fresh rather than cooked before putting them on the pizza. I had been envisioning slow roasted red peppers, but okay. Only one thing; their entrees are a little pricey, averaging between $ 13.99 and $ 17.99, with some as high as $ 21.99. However, they do have sandwiches and a lunch menu that is reasonably priced, under $ 10. Most of the salads are under $ 10, but there is also some that if you get them without adding the meat, then they is under $ 10.

Warning: Do Not Read This Review if You Are Very Hungry!(You’ll drool all over your keyboard!) Wow! What an experience! My family and I just came back from the most refreshing Mediterranean meal we’ve had in years! The owners, Tim & Amal, greeted us at the door with big smiles and a warm welcome. They were very personble and appreciative of our patronage. What a great change of pace… owners that spend time with their customers. My wife had visited Pomegranate previously with a friend and said that we had to go there as soon as possible.(I’m so glad that I married her!) We started our feast with two appetizers… the«Sampler Platter» and the«Avacado Rolls». Mmm, Mmm Good! What flavor! Amal suggested the Avacado Rolls and so do we. My wife doesn’t even like avacado and she was floored by it’s rich flavor. The Sampler is killer with Grape Leaves(my favorite), Falafel and an amazingly tasty Hummus. Wow! For our entrees, I ordered the«Tabbouleh Salad»(large) and my wife ordered the«Pecan Chicken & Rice». What a combo! The Tabbouleh was amazing! So fresh, so vibrant! The Pecan Chicken was very savory with all the right spices blended into it. My wife’s entrée included either a soup or salad. Since I ordered a salad, she ordered the creamy and quite yummy, Crab Bisque with plenty of crab along with just the right amount of bite to its flavor. Lucky for us, we had plenty left over, so we’ll be able to enjoy this meal again at home. Unfortunately, we were too full to experience their most popular item… dessert.(I’ll follow up with a review of that experience for you.) I don’t know the previous critics, but they need to go back to Pomegranate and try it again. Ask for Matt, he’s one of the friendliest(and most patient) waiters we’ve ever experienced. And don’t hesitate to ask for Tim or Amal, they’ll take care of you like family. Bring your appetite, but not all of your money. Great taste at a great price all with a warm and colorful atmosphere. I’m so glad that there’s finally a good, cozy and tasty Mediterranean Restaurant on our side of town! Please, whatever you do… eat at Pomegranate’s!

Sadly, the consistently poor service I’ve received there will always color my opinion of Pomegranate. On several visits to the restaurant, it has taken long amounts of time to even place an order. We’re talking close to 30 minutes. On one occasion half our party didn’t get their food until the rest of us were almost finished with our meals. And we weren’t fast eaters. The wait staff was apologetic, but it’s strange that the service continues to be poor. The food is good enough. It’s nothing special, though they do give you lots of it. In most cases entrees can be shared between two people. The menu covers familiar Greek/Turkish territory. You’ll find standards like baba ghanoush, shawarma, falafel and tabbouleh. The prices are pretty good too.
