I’ve gone to Kelley twice now for a cut and she will be my forever stylist! She is so personable, professional and makes sure she knows exactly the cut I want! You know your hair cut is good when people ask where you got it done!

I have been ‘Yelping’ for years & have also been to this salon for years. I can’t believe I have yet to review!
I originally started with a stylist that ended up moving out of state several years ago. I have since been seeing Audrey for all my colors & cuts. I am one of those girls that doesn’t put too much into my hair, nails, make-​up, etc. That being said, I get my hair done maybe once a year… Yes I know it’s bad & my split ends are terrible, but hey, I work in the auto industry so ponytails are kinda my thing.
I LOVE Rafiel’s & love my stylist! The conversation with Audrey is always so delightful & she doesn’t chastise me for my lack of ‘girlyness’ & once-​a-​year-​cuts. The gals up front are always so friendly & I love the coffee while I wait. As others have mentioned, the vino is also a plus & nice little bonus while I’m waiting for the color to set it. I love that I can trust Audrey with my hair decisions. «Little red, but not too red, cut/​trim but long enough to still ponytail it.» I am pretty flexible, but I know I can trust it will be a style that I will be happy with when I leave,

I’m so happy I chose this place! I’m an out of towner so I checked out other reviews for Rafiel’s because I love Aveda salons and products and they have always been dependable. This is no exception. I had Kelly for my stylist and she was so sweet and made sure to explain everything to me to make sure my experience was successful and it definitely was! I love the hand and arm massage as well as the warm towel under the neck during the washing process. I highly recommend Rafiel’s!

Michelle really knows what she is doing with color and cut. I’ve gone to several different stylists in Columbus, and she is it! She really takes her time and thinks about her work and making it the best possible. The price for cut and color are comparable to other salons in the area but the attention to detail is definitely a step up.

After years of going to Penzone’s, I wanted a change so I researched the best salons in Columbus and found rave reviews about Rafiel’s. As a stylist by the name of Greg was mentioned in a majority of the reviews I read, I booked an appointment with him and had an amazing experience with him yesterday!
In addition to being one of the friendliest stylists I have ever met, he is an extremely talented master stylist. After spending time with me to discuss what it was that I was looking for, he provided me with an example of the color ideas he had and took over after confirming that I would be comfortable with his suggestion. I could not be happier with both the cut and color as my hair looks beautiful! It’s been years since people noticed I had my hair done, so to receive multiple compliments today only confirms what an amazing job he did.
In addition to my experience with Greg, I also enjoyed my salon visit as well. Greg’s assistants were very attentive and everyone there made you feel welcome as they offered you refreshments and a complimentary hand massage.
I am excited to find a new hair dresser who understands what I’m looking for, and I look forward to many more positive experiences at Rafiel’s.

I discovered Rafiel’s through a friend of a friend of a friend! Fate would have it that stylist Michelle and I would meet through mutual friends. She shared with me that she worked in Clintonville after I told her I lived there and low and behold her salon was my neighbor! We’d been been passing like two ships in the night. It was pure fate – hairdoo fate. Her locks were beautiful, so I gave her a shot, and I’m glad I did.
Michelle was super attentive. Offered me a drink and a neck + back massage. We discussed my beauty and haircare goals and she took it from there. She took extra care to make sure I was happy with what she was doing and explained to me products and techniques she was using as she went along. She even took the time to blow out my curly locks, which made my day! Loved my new look.
The atmosphere is cozy and warm. Everyone was friendly and it smells Aveda-​licious throughout!
What’s cool about Rafiel’s is that you can book an appointment online. Nothing is worse than when you need to make appointments and you work on a corporate cubicle farm. You can still be productive in your personal and beauty endeavors while on the clock, without drawing attention to yourself! So do yourself a favor and book online with Michelle at Rafiel’s!

I love this place! Rafiel and his
stylists are the best I’ve found. I’ve been going to his shop (s) for over 25 years and have no reason to look elsewhere.
From the minute you walk in you can tell the difference from any other place in
town. You ate always received with a warm smile, asked if you want water, coffee, or tea, then taken to change into a gown (if you so desire).
Next you’re seated in a massage chair for a fantastic stress relieving treatment. This does a great job of getting you relaxed and into the spa feeling. Followed by washing and conditioning your hair with fragrant Aveda products, you are more than ready for further pampering. Into the stylist chair you go.
Now comes the proof you’re in a topnotch salon. Your stylist comes to you and discusses what you want to do, makes suggestions if any, then proceeds to give you a style or treatment that will keep you coming back.
Rafiels Studio is a cut above the rest It really is a place to be envied and the positive experience, friendly service, and quality of the work will always leave you with a smile!

Your typical Aveda salon. So if you’re not a fan, don’t come here.
It’s a good location, although I was confused with parking. There is an Olentangy Shops parking lot a block before you come to the Studio. So just be aware of that.
Upon entrance you’ll be getting the typical Aveda experience: offered a drink, change into robe, massage… that sort of thing.
I got a great trim from one of their younger stylists, and I was very pleased, although the prices are high. But it’s Aveda, what can you expect? Just be sure to bring cash/​check for your tip!
