We gave a 2 because the service is outstanding however, we came here to eat good food, and we were disappointed. I ordered the Mexican style burrito and my GF ordered the banana nut pancakes. My GF was informed the pancakes were all you could eat. The décor is filled with what they serve, but the servings definitely do not match the photos. The burrito was more layers of bread than food content and the pancakes were made fluffy and circumference was greater than the plate they were served and very dry. I «think» my GF found one nut out of three giant pancakes?!? Our belief is that the cook was lazy and didn’t want to cook any additional food so, he provided crap! Our expectations weren’t reality. Good luck.

My favorite brunch restaurant. Their service was great. Coffee refill free, French toast refill free. They had awesome food there.

For breakfast this place is tied with First Watch. Biggest pros: –unlimited pancakes, French toast and waffles(interchangeable). –call ahead seating. We had a big group and they were able to seat us relatively quickly. Cons: –if you want any sides with the pancakes, French toast or waffles(like eggs or sausage) it adds up quickly. –the turkey sausage wasn’t great. –our table wasn’t served all together. I think this was due to our large party and how crowded they were.

This is my first visit. I ordered the western omelette with hash browns. The meal came out quickly and was presented well. The omelette was huge and they do not skimp on the cheese. Staff was friendly and service was good. Only items I see room for improvement are the coffee and the carpet. Coffee is weak and the carpet looks like it may be near the end of its useful life and in need of replacement.

Gross. Where to begin. Well first off we ordered coffee and they brought us the typical chain restaurant coffee in a big pot and charged us for two mugs which I thought was a little ridiculous. But the coffee pot was leaking a black sludge like substance that server explained they knowingly put the coffee pots in said sludge. No apology just got a look like I was crazy for asking her to clean the sludge off my table. Which she did with her bare hand. Now to the food. Tasteless. I ordered an omelet that I’m convinced if I hadn’t gotten turkey sausage in it, which tasted like a salt block, there would have been no flavor at all. The French toast my boyfriend ordered was like essentially just bread covered in whip cream. I guess we’re the idiots for leaving the short north and giving chain restaurants credit where credit was not due. Won’t be back.

The food is very good, but out of the four times I’ve been here, two of them ended with food poisoning. Enjoy your breakfast, but beware of the 50% chance of vomiting out both ends for two days. :-)

One of the best breakfast restaurants in Columbus, Ohio. The waiting room was less than 10 minutes, and they have many options to choose for a healthy breakfast. Their staff is friendly, and more customer service oriented. If ever travel to the Columbus area, this place to eat your breakfast.

Love this place! Never a wait. Staff brings you your own pot of coffee, you get your own pitcher of water. Big portions. Staff is very nice and attentive. Quinoa oatmeal is crazy good, omlettes very good. Highly recommend.

I am a breakfast connoisseur. And this place is not what you wish. Pancakes are average at best. The rest of my meal was below average as well. Not ever going to come back.

There is nothing to see here. It’s a chain, it’s a diner, and it has decent breakfast food. I came for lunch during the week and there was no wait, but I would guess that it gets pretty busy on the weekends. The portion sizes are decent, but none of their food is anything special. I think I could go home and make a majority of the things on their menu pretty easily… it is one of the few breakfast/brunch places up near Polaris, so it has that going for it, but if you’re not already near Polaris, you’re better off making a trip to one of the fun local breakfast places around Columbus!

This place is fine. It’s what you expect. Our service was on time and very friendly. The food is tasty and plenty of it. It’s a diner! No frills but that’s not what they’re about.

First visit to Scrambler Marie’s with the family and I’m glad we chose this restaurant for breakfast. Scrambler Marie’s has a great menu to choose from and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. The food was excellent!!! I had the Rocky Top Toast. I’ll definitely come back when visiting the Columbus area.

This is our second time at this location and we love it just as much as the first time we were here. We have had several omelettes, skillets, pancakes, and their Benedict and have yet to be disappointed. The food here is consistently top notch — but consider yourself warned when I say they are VERY generous with their portions. Being that breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, I am always tempted to try everything on the menu — which explains the long list of items we’ve tried in just 2 visits — and this breakfast snob has always been pleased. Their eggs are ACTUALLY cooked exactly as ordered instead of just«close enough» as some other breakfast joints do. But, most importantly, their staff is phenomenal. Our waitresses, Angie and Gretchen, were attentive and patient and everyone from the manager to the hostess make sure to thank you on your way out. Without a doubt, we will be back!

I have eaten here a few times and have determined it to be so so breakfast food. They have your standard pancakes, muffins, french toast, etc., and I’ve determined it isn’t anything worth traveling for. If you are close by give it a shot, otherwise stick with the local IHOP or whatever is close.

I love all breakfast places! This was my first visit to Scrambler Marie’s, per a friend’s suggestion. I went with an omelette, and it was delicious! Came with a bread and a side, too. Tons of food for under $ 10. My friend ordered a banana nut pancake and yogurt parfait. She swears their pancakes are the best in town and«dreams of the banana nut pancakes.» The rest of the menu had a variety of options from low-cal to vegetarian and in between. Service was great. I thought a Saturday at 1 may be packed, but the place was actually slowing down. I’m sure mornings are their forte. I only wish it’d be open past 3. Breakfast food is perfect any time of day. Our waitress was sweet, attentive and accommodating.

I usually go to Firat Watch and though I’d try somewhere different. Scrambler Marie’s didn’t compare. Upon being seated we noticed the table wasn’t clean and the carpet was filthy. Not a good start so far. Our server was excellent and we were lucky to get her because all the other ones were mostly standing around doing nothing. But the manager was also just standing against the wall staring at people doing nothing, so I guess that’s what they’re encouraged to do. The food was sub-par. The eggs were dry and overcooked. The steak was dry and overcooked. The hash browns were pretty good though. The biscuits and gravy could have been good but someone that should be fired decided that green onions belong on top and it ruined them. Towards the ends of the meal the manager decided to quit holding the wall up and haphazardly swept the floor. Too many good breakfast/brunch spots in Columbus to waste time here.

I would definitely eat here again. I went here with a large group and we did call ahead. The manager was very accommodating and put us in the back corner — she already had the tables set up. It was right against the window, which was atmospherically awesome because the sun was blazing through the window, which made me feel very serene and at peace. And warm too! But not too warm, because the AC was on. The meal was pretty good. In fact, everyone had positive things to say about what they ate. We talked about it afterward. If I’m being honest, I don’t think it’s any better than something would get at Denny’s, Bob Evans, or IHOP, but it depends on the atmosphere you’re looking for. The prices are very reasonable as well. I know this is a chain, but it doesn’t feel like it. It feels like an independent diner, which I enjoy. The service was fantastic — our waitress was an education student at either Otterbein or OSU and she was very attentive to our group. The food itself was nothing to get excited about: I ate an omelette and hashbrowns and had no complaints. Not fantastic, but tasted good. Again, I’ll go here again and try something else next time. And I might just update this review with my latest findings…

With all the competition for breakfast and lunch business(First Watch, Bob Evan’s, Sunny Street Café, Waffle House, etc.), Scrambler Marie’s is not high on my list. I’ve been here several times for breakfast and lunch and have not been impressed. The service is OK /the food is OK /the prices are OK but I’m looking for something better than just OK. I don’t have any specific complaints or issues about the place and if you just looking for an OK place — then this might be your place. But if you looking for something better than OK — keep looking.

Flat out, I love it here. Its a little weird at first how eerily cheerful everyone is that works here… kind of like you can’t tell if they all take happy pills, great actors or they’re all just really happy to be there. Its refreshing though sometimsometimes to get the Plesantville service as opposes to the forcibly happy service you get at some other places. It’s a wonderful little breakfast/brunch place with a can’t beat it price. Bottomless french toast?! Yes please! The portions are typically really good, you will leave on full! There’s just so much to like about Scrambler Marie’s… you’ll have to try it for yourself :)
