Can I rate zero stars??? Walking in our feet stuck to the dirty floor and there was a stench to the place. Waitress did not understand our order and then it came out wrong. I asked if what we had was butter she said«yes– it’s margerine»…soo…figure that one out. Muffins are not freshly baked but freshly microwaved. Too expensive for the prepackaged type of food and the lack luster service. Mimi’s.is owned by Bob Evans Co. and it shows.

Had a wonderful breakfast with fast service and excellent atmosphere! If you are at the Hilton next door, a quick walk for a great breakfast experience !

Service was a little slow but the food was good. My boyfriend got the pecan waffles and they were delicious, a nice portion size and crispy on the outside. I got the quiche Lorraine and wasn’t expecting it to be an individual portion. It came with a fruit cup and was just enough food. I would definitely go back and try something else.

Nickel and dimed. We like the food but Ruth all the options in this area why go to s restaurant that looks for every penny they can pinch from you? Substitute mashed potatoes for fries — add $ 1.00. Really??? A potato dish for a potato dish? Substitute a dinner salad for the small Greek salad already included — add $ 2.49. For a slightly larger dinner salad??? Want bread — be sure to ask because it doesn’t come by default. Last time we’ll come here — too many other choices without having to deal with this kind of baloney.

Came in Sunday night on Mother’s Day and Ohio State’s graduation day. Obviously, this is one of the busiest nights in terms of business in the Columbus area. Had a reservation for 12 at 5pm which was made weeks prior. At 445, we inform them our party is here and they claim they overbooked and cannot seat us until 530. Once seated, our waitress did not come address us for 20 minutes. Once she finally showed up, she took our drinks and returned to deliver them and take our order. This would be the last time she visited our table for the next 40 minutes. Mimis was understaffed and I witnessed the management stand around and watch as the restaurant turned into a sinking ship with countless tables around us wait for food, refills, and for checks to be delivered. 4 different members of my party continually took turns making trips to the bar to get their OWN refills. Our first appetizer came 25 minutes before our 2nd and 3rd appetizers and a Caesar salad that was an appetizer never came. I would not recommend coming to this poorly ran restaurant.

First time eating there. They seem like they have an interesting assortment of food. I got the ham and Swiss crepes. It’s was ok. For the price I was expecting a little better quality and taste. Speaking of price, the regular coffee was over $ 3 dollars. We ended up spending over $ 30 dollars for breakfast(for two people) and it just felt like a Bob Evans breakfast. The waiter was decent though when I asked for cream he just grabbed the left over cream off of a table that had left right next to us. Just felt kind of gross.

I love Eggs Benedict! But, not here. Evidently the chef did not show up on the day they were teaching egg poaching. The whites were raw and when the excellent waitress brought out two more the same raw whites were served. Even thought the excellent waitress took it off my bill, I may go back, but will not order anything with poached eggs! Plus, making reservations several days later still had to wait over 20 minutes. My friend and I are both handicapped so it was not a good wait.

To be a basic bish… I LOVE brunch! Mimi’s has an excellent ambiance to were you can have an upscale breakfast/brunch with the girls before a day of shopping or have a family breakfast on a lazy Sunday and not feel out of place in either scenerio. This is a café, so they tend to be a little higher with their prices compared to Bob Evans, but with this you get a meal that dances on your tongue. I have had a few of there Eggs Benedicts, pancakes, crepes, spicy bloody Mary’s, and Triple Berry Mimosas! All have been to DIEFOR!!! And their service is top notch! I’m pretty impressed with this restaurant! Try the triple berry mimosa… You’ll thank me for it!

Comfy seats, atmosphere and friendly staff make this place wonderful. The food portions are large even though some of the price points seem a bit higher, you can expect to have food leftover for another meal. Stopped in for lunch on Wednesday and it wasn’t too busy so we got right in and sat down. Our server was prompt and courteous. She was very kind and gave us the time we needed to look over the menu. Order: Beef Pot Roast — very tender braised beef with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. This was super tasty and I would get this again. Chicken tillamook cheddar Mac — cheese, cheese, and more cheese. This meal has so much cheese it’s amazing! Tender chicken and crispy bacon pieces make this meal very good. Another good choice. Drinks Hot tea Iced tea — very nice brewed tea, quality taste

Came for lunch. They offer breakfast all day long which is pretty cool. ambiance was beautiful inside but casual dress is fine. The waitress was extremely attentive and gave nice recommendations. i ordered the west coast Reuben which isn’t actually a true reuben but MiMis puts their own twist on it. Turkey, roast beef and ham with cole slaw. I asked for honey mustard on the side to dip in. Came on toasted rye bread which topped off the flavor. I am absolutely in love with this sandwhich. I ordered the lunch combo that came with Caesar salad and fries, all on one plate. I hate my food touching but it worked out. The Caesar salad was the best one i have had in Columbus! Very impressed. The fries were also scrumptious, with perfect amount of seasoning. I had read on Unilocal that if you say it’s your first time you are supposed to be given two complimentary muffins to go… i told our server and she looked clueless. Oh well. Very impressed and will definitely be back for lunch sometime soon. Only problem i had was a beverage of fountain soda was $ 3.29. Woah, really? Ill take a water with lemons next time!

Ate here this morning. Definitely a fru fru experience and not a good place for a guy looking for a good protein breakfast. Ordered a bacon spinach avocado omelete off the menu. It was TERRIBLE. Only thing actually inside the eggs was spinach, then they put tomatoes and a SMALL slice of avocado on TOP of the omelette, and two SCRAWNY pieces of bacon, on TOP of the omelete.(Not inside, and it was like two little bites of meat — REALLY??). And, they charged me $ 3 for a diet coke that was 90% filled with ice, a total ripoff. By the time I tipped breakfast was $ 17 for a simple omelete and coke, and I left HUNGRY. Will NEVER go to a MiMi’s again.

Admittedly Mimi’s French cuisine is about as authentic as a Jerry Lewis movie, but it’s still a nice place to get a casual dinner. The roasted chicken is quite good and I loved the Hickory Bacon Cheddar Burger with their signature Frites. The Roasted Half Chicken Crêpes is well seasoned with a rich flavor. The service is excellent and a nice cozy atmosphere. I’d like it more if they’d lose the sports bar.

Mid morning on a Saturday, seated right away despite the fact that the place was pretty full. Ordered the classic two eggs, toast, bacon and potatoes. I ordered it because of the potatoes. «Herb roasted potatoes» is what they are called. Looked delicious in the menu photos. Covered in herbs and spices. When my order arrived, they were simply fried potatoes, no herbs, no spices, no flavor. Not even salt. Rest of my dish was satisfactory. But very disappointed in the one aspect of the meal I was looking forward to. –1 star. Wife ordered lemon poppy seed griddle cakes. They looked HUGE on the menu. They were not huge. Not even big. Very average size. Below average lemon flavor too, it was subtle at best. They did taste good, but I expected more lemon-ness. –1 star. Other than those two things, the place was good, friendly and relatively fast wait staff and service. As well as clean and welcoming décor. I would certainly return here to give it another shot.

We’ve had mixed experiences here. First time was a few years ago and we had a weekend brunch which was fantastic and made me really want to come back. Second time was for dinner and the salmon we ordered was mediocre. We definitely agreed we had made better salmon at home. The salmon they cooked was dry and the flavor was plain. But the beef pot today was flavorful and fantastic. The spinach and artichoke dip was very nice too. The third time was breakfast and they must have been short on staff because it forever to get our orders in. First, the iced café mocha was iced coffee with hot chocolate powder still undisolved on the top. Then we received one thing that was incorrect and that person had to wait for the correct item to be remade while we all ate. Very disappointed in this recent visit.

I’d first like to say that My girlfriend and I are regulars here. I’ve never had any issues with service, food quality, wait times, or hospitality. We just left Mimi’s a little bit ago and I just felt the need to write in and voice my absolute disappointment. Our server was fantastic, and offered her recommendations, as well as went over the specials. So far so good. My girlfriend and I order, and I order the cowboy brick, my favorite. About 10 minutes later, she comes back out to tell us that this item is «not available tonight and sold out». She then apologizes and asked me what else is like. I choose the lemon brick chicken. Again, she comes back and tells me this item is no longer available. At this time, I see a table of middle aged folks ordering their food, and I can hear what they’re ordering. The manager was actually the one taking their order. The lady wanted the cowboy brick chicken(10 minutes after it was supposedly not available). The manager says that the item is sold out, and the lady escalates and says that what she ordered and that’s what she wants. The manager then comes ban and confirms she can get lemon brick chicken with a big smile. I ended up getting salmon which was average, and watched her get what I had ordered. I don’t appreciate being lied to, not once but twice. Clearly there is a disconnect between management, the Kitchen, and the rest of the staff. Again, our waitress was cordial and kind, but this is not the world class dining experience we’ve had before. I saw this manager walking aimlessly with a plateful of turkey, and was unable to locate the table it was to go to. As I said, we are regulars here, but with many dining options available in Polaris, we may have to change our favorite spot.

I’ve resisted going here because apparently this chain is owned by Bob Evans and, well, it’s a chain. Give me Nancy’s, Wildflower Café, Northstar Café, or The Whitney House for breakfast/brunch any day. But, a friend suggested Mimi’s Café for breakfast prior to an impromptu Polaris shopping trip, and it was convenient. First impression: holy mole, is this where all of suburban America comes to have brunch during the weekends? I tripped over approximately three gazillion small, unattended, and wildly running about children while making my way to our table. Also, I prefer a smaller menu during breakfast/brunch. That’s because I’m hangry(hungry + getting angry because I’m so hungry) and I don’t want to consult the 200+ ways I can have an omelette. But, Mimi’s Café is one of those places with many, many options if that’s your thing. Additionally, you can also order off the lunch menu during breakfast(or so it appeared when I visited). So, options galore. Anyways, both my friend and I settled on the veggie omelets, which sounded delicious(goat cheese! veggies! potatoes on the side!). I added bacon to mine because I certainly didn’t want to be too healthy. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity(or 35 mins, which is kind of long for breakfast), our entrees arrived. Or kind of. My friend got her omelette and potatoes, but no toast. Mine was under cooked with the eggs still runny in the middle, no bacon, no potatoes, and no toast. Oh, we also didn’t have silverware! Or ketchup(don’t serve breakfast potatoes en masse without ketchup on the tables!). I will say that our server, once I was able to track her down by wandering aimlessly around the restaurant for a few minutes, made a valiant attempt to correct the situation. Though she did disconcertingly say«Have you taken a bite of your omelet? It might be someone else’s! If so, I could still drop it off to another table.» Anyways, about 15 minutes later, my friend had received her potatoes and toast, and I had a serviceable omelet, with the appropriate sides. And ketchup! I should also mention that manager kindly took off my omelet off my check because it was originally not made correctly. In short, I probably won’t ever venture out here ever again, but if you do, the veggie omelet is very good with bacon.

This is the lowest rating I’ve ever given but two stars is being generous. A friend and I visited the Polaris location this past Sunday and it was a complete disappointment. No greeted us at the door, our waitress was spacey and it took FOREVER to get our food. The food looked amazing in the pictures on the menu but the portion size was laughable. I ordered the Santa Fe omelet and let me tell you, I make a yummier and bigger omelet at my house! To top it off, there was a group of people getting wasted on their mini bellini’s…really? Never again.

I am glad we decide to come for breakfast. The menu is full of wonderful options, so hard to choose. The Bacon-apple waffles were oh so great. Took a carrot muffin to-go for tomorrows breakfast and can’t wait to dig in. Service was prompt and pleasant.

Yuck! No better than any other chain breakfast, despite what other reviews say. Décor is hideous-dark like Max & Erma’s. I had eggs Benedict, assuming they would be hard to screw up– wrong! Eggs were hard-boiled almost, the English muffins were soggy from the beginning, and the Bearnaise had a strong artificial flavor to it. NOT good! Service was good. Buttermilk spice muffins are delicious. Not crazy about the carrot ones. They had the most incredible, perfectly ripe honeydew melon I’ve eaten in years, which shocked me. I like First Watch much better, as far as chains go.

No hostess on duty when we arrived so we had to poke our head into the other room. Promptly seated. She promised to bring more ice for the already cold ice tea but never delivered. Dinner is really slow in coming. Indeed, the French onion soup was not hot, so it was sitting around. When the entrée arrived it was wrong. And when the manager came by I said things were only ok and he offered a complimentary desert which was thoughtful but when we finished with dinner the waitress asked if we would like desert! I told her the manager’s offer and she said that he comped my dinner. I am so confused. I guess they want to improve but I don’t know…

Mimi’s Café is French-American cuisine. So you have a choice of traditional bacon eggs, or you can try a waffle with apples and orange zest. Overall I’m really not impressed. This is not the type of food you crave and come back for time and time again. The food is just okay, average with no real flavor.

It will do. We were in the mood for brunch but it was a weekday… landed at Mimi’s Café. Everything was good — not amazing. Some of the food was tasty and some fell a little short on flavor. A bloody Mary is my go-to for breakfast or brunch out but I went with a mimosa flight. I especially enjoyed the cranberry. Omelets were mediocre. There were some limitations on variety in the menu but prices were inexpensive. Very chainish.

I’m part of a «dine-out group» that goes out as a group once a month. Last night we visited Mimi’s Café on Polaris Parkway. We normally visit Mimi’s about once a year and this was our 1st visit in just over a year. They’ve tweaked the menu since our last visit and now offer a nice variety of choices including some French inspired entrees, a nice selection of burgers and sandwiches and seafood. They were also running a special with all wine being offered at $ 5 a glass. I tried the fish and frites(chips) which were excellent — a nice sized serving of piping hot fish with a nice crisp breading and excellent chips. Others in our party who tried the fish and frites were also pleased. My wife, on the other hand, tried their grilled Atlantic salmon which was one of their featured entrees last night. She found it to be OK but not great — a bit over-cooked and consequently a bit dry. It needed more sauce or something to overcome the dryness. Not being a big fan of lemon, I gave here the 2 lemon wedges that cam with my fish and that helped. After tasting her salmon — I can confirm that it was indeed dry. These ordering burgers were generally please with their burgers. Service was excellent — which is always a challenge when you have a group of 30 people. The wait staff was up to the occasion and service was exceptionally good. We were in the sort of private back room and it was interesting to note that as we were leaving around 8:30PM on a Friday night — that the main dining area was nearly deserted.

Nothing about my experience was especially bad, but I can list a dozen brunch spots with better food at a better price. I’m just very underwhelmed by Mimi’s. The wait was 45 – 50 minutes so we snagged a table at the bar. Nobody ever came to wait on us or even offer a drink so after 15 minutes we had to get up and ask. The sunrise mimosas we got were really good, but they the only thing we were given to drink even though we asked for waters several times. We ordered the apple bacon waffles and the strawberry & crème waffles. For $ 10 per plate, the portions were pathetic. The food was just ok. One plate came out cold. Again it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. I had heard that you get muffins on your first visit, but nobody ever asked if we had been there before. I’m a little bummed that I didn’t get my muffins. Mediocre service, great cocktails, overpriced nothing special food. I’d recommend passing on Mimi’s Café.

We went in here with some skepticism as the reviews here on Unilocal seem pretty wildly all over the map. Our experience however was a positive one through and through. We went on a Saturday for brunch, approximately 11am. It was quite busy but we were able to get in and get seated within 10 minutes as the place is a huge place. My fiancé Stefanie ordered the pancakes and I ordered the Corned Beef Benedict. We also added a side of 4 strips of bacon. I really love the booths here, they are pretty large and I was able to stretch out and relax. The great thing too is the noise level isn’t crazy like it can be sometimes at other places(First Watch & Bob Evans I’m looking at you!!) where one goes to get a nice breakfast. After about 15 minutes our food arrived and, as you can see from the pics, looked simply fantastic. I was a bit skeptical that my Corned Beef Benedict would fill me up as it didn’t look like a lot but it turned out to be just perfect… I got full but not stuffed. And wow, was the food so tasty. When I return here I will find it hard to order something other than the Corned Beef Benedict because quite simply I had never tasted anything like it. Stefanie was also pretty impressed with her pancakes, although I’m not sure she was as impressed as I was. The bacon was large and crispy and perfect bacony bacon! The best part is the check came and it wasn’t a huge hit to the wallet. The prices here for what you get are a great value, at least from what we ordered. This is definitely at the top of my list to return to for breakfast and lunch and I’d highly recommend it to anyone that is tired of the same ol’ Bob Evans. P. S. — We asked for free muffins as it was our first visit and when we were getting ready to leave a manager came up and thanked us for coming, asked us how we enjoyed our dining experience and gave us two large free muffins. Very nice!
