I actually talked to someone to set up a time to see the gym. Waited around for a half hour(during which time I had the delight of listening to 2 women bitch about the cost of maintaining their luxury cars). He never came. I did walk around on my own. Place is a dump and smells musty.

WOW, I GUESSYOUDONOTWANTMYBUSINESS. The website says that for only 40 $ a month, you get 24 hr access, guest priviledges, dedicated personal trainers and some other stuff. It sounded great, so I headed there only to find a couple dudes lifting weights and staring at me from behind locked doors. At further inspection I read a sign on the door: «Call 555‑5555 For Membership Information and Tour!» Okay no problemo, so I call the number and get NOANSWER, straight to voicemail… IFATFIRSTYOUDONTSUCCEED… Well I should have stopped trying there, but I didn’t. I revisited the website and emailed them to schedule a tour. The website also says EVERY saturday at noon Shape Fitness offers a 10 $ bootcamp class open to the public. I thought this would be a great way to get a tour and speak to a representative. So after a energizing saturday morning breakfast, i threw on my gym shorts and headed there. What happened next i should have predicted… ITSDEJAVUALLOVERAGAIN I arrived at a little before noon to an empty gym with locked doors. Much to my dismay, I patiently sat outside this place for 30 minutes before I decided to give the aforementioned telephone number another try. It went straight to voicemail again, but this time I left a polite message with my information. Its been weeks and I have not received a single phone call or email from these people. And for that I am thankful. ITSFUNTOSTAYATTHE Y-M-C-A! A week later I joined the downtown YMCA for only 20 $ a month and i couldn’t be happier! The Y offers a much larger facility that includes everything from racket ball courts, to a pool! They seriously have it all, basketball, pool table, sauna, steam room, every weight related accessory, personal trainers… you name it! But most off all the YMCA offers **FREECLASSES** to its members! yoga, zumba, spinning, pilates, etc. OVERPRICED, CRAMPED, & A RIPOFF Shape fitness is about the size of the Kwik-E-Mart it’s next too, and in addition to the 40 $+ a month, they also expect you to pay and additional 10 $ for every class you attend. Not to mention these people can’t seem to return emails or phone calls from potential clients. GTFOH.
