I had seen a recent Consumer Reports review that rated the Sleep Number’s C2 bed, the lowest price bed in their line, better than higher price models. I am shopping for a new mattress so I stopped in to see the C2. When I asked the salesman to show me the C2 model he immediately tried to steer me to a higher price model by recommending I look at an «adult» bed. I can understand trying to up-​sell a customer. However his dismissive attitude to both my request and to his own C2 product made such a bad first impression I walked out without looking at any of their products.
