So there are two in the mall and this review is for the one on the upper level(the number listed here is the one for the upper level). Pros: 1. It’s Starbucks! I’ll admit, I’m addicted to Starbucks. I like that I can go in and for the most part, my drink will taste the same. I don’t have to worry about will this place make my drink too sweet or not sweet enough. I love that I can get a latte at Starbucks and it’ll taste how I expect it(usually). 2. The person at the register was very friendly when ringing us up. Later, I had to go back because the milk that we had bought was expired(con) and he was very apologetic and was really nice. I would’ve given this place a 2 star but he was really friendly so I bumped it up. Cons: 1. Expired milk(Horizon single serve juice box type milk) But like I said the guy did a great job so this low star review isn’t because of that. 2. It’s really small. This Starbucks is really small and then it’s crowded(which it was today with the line out the door– which isn’t very long since the place is so small!) the pick up area for the drinks is awkwardly placed with bar seats near it. I hate when there’s no room at the pick up area because people are squeezing to get their drinks. My friend and I were waiting for our drinks behind the people who had been in line in front of us. When they got their drinks, they tried to squeeze out. We stepped back to let them through when the barista mumbled out a drink name and slid the drink out– which leads me to con #3. 3. Unfriendly barista: another pet peeve is when the barista quickly, quietly or unclearly says the drink name so that when you’re waiting, you have to ask ‘excuse me, what is this drink?’ So my friend and I had moved out of the way to let the people who just got their drinks through when the barista quickly mumbles the drink. My friend asked ‘excuse me what drink is this?’ And although the barista was standing right in front of us, he pretended he didn’t hear her and walked away(to the back counter which was literally just two steps behind). We both asked again, this time we were leaning over the counter and he pretended like he was toooooo far to hear us because he had stepped wayyyyyy over to the sink. Finally, a customer who was sitting at the bar area told us what she thought he had said. Like I said, this location left a bad taste in my mouth and if I come here again, I’ll make sure to go to the lower level Starbucks instead.

Avoid using the phone app or your Starbucks card to pay for a coffee in this store. I used my phone app to pay for coffee here, and believe that one of the employees is hacking into people’s accounts. I used my card here and within two hours, someone had accessed my card, loaded $ 150 onto it, and transferred that $ 150 to another card. Starbucks is aware that this fraud is occurring and ins’t really taking it seriously.

After hundreds of visits to starbucks all around the world I am absolutely apalled at the service I just received. I took my elderly aunt into Starbucks to wait for my mom who works at the dept store next to this Starbucks. After waiting for my mom approximately 10 mins she arrived and I went to the counter to order our drinks. The three employees working did not say hi or even acknowledge I was standing at the counter. Finally a barista offered to help me. For whatever reason she was super annoyed with me right off the bat. I ordered my first drink and she gave me the total without asking if I wanted anything else when I clearly was with two other people. After I gave her my second order my cups sat on the counter and literally no one was attempting to start making them. I then asked for two gift cards and not only were my drinks still not being made apparently this was super annoying for the barista ringing me up because she rolled her eyes at me. No kidding rolled her eyes in exasperation. I then asked«is there a problem?» She responded«why?» I said because not only is no one making my drinks when there is no one else in the store but you are rolling your eyes at me. She then sighed heavily with zero indication of an apology. She looked at the shift manager and asked to go on a break without even finishing my transaction. He then tried to give me some lame explanation as to why they weren’t making my drinks. I said to them«I worked at Starbucks for many years and this is absolutely the worst service I have ever received.» The response? Eye rolls from both! The shift manager also totally blew me off. Then he tossed a wrinkled free drink coupon at me and said«this is good for anything.» I gave it back to him because that was not hardly the point. I cannot believe I just spent money on two gift cards and three drinks and for them to be SORUDE without any cause or justification is so out of control I can’t even handle it. So unnecessarily rude.

I’m not a huge fan of Starbucks, I think I’ve been to about 3 in my entire life and 2 out of the 3 times it was not my idea to go. Today was my idea to go because after a long day of shopping I wanted to get a drink and have a seat and Starbucks was right in the line of sight. As usual, ordering at Starbucks is quite the pain in the rear, there’s 83 million options done 83 different million ways and it’s all very complicated, it’s all very trendy and hip and I really hate the entire process. With that being said maybe it’s just because I’m not a huge fan of all the crazy coffee combinations we have nowadays and so it’s less a Starbucks thing than a society thing. I just like black coffee or a latte and that’s that, I don’t need all the damned crazy combinations! After my ordering was done it took me about 10 minutes to get my iced lime refreshment, whose name escapes me. My fiances peach tea was quite good and so was my lime drink. We paid quite a bit for both of them, hers slightly more than mine but that was ok as we were well aware of the wonderful aspect of capitalism that Starbucks is. There is plenty of people working behind the counter at Starbucks to make everyone’s very complicated coffee so that’s bonus points for them… even though it did take me a while to get our drinks it was actually pretty entertaining watching them scurry about making all these crazy coffee drinks. I must point out that this location has only 2 really nice comfortable leather chairs and the rest are all hard, high back type chairs at a table. So if you’re looking for a place to sit comfortably it’s not this Starbucks. And if you’re looking to get a basic coffee for a cheap price, well it isn’t ANY Starbucks! But if you’re well aware of the high priced drinks and/or want to order a crazy complicated drink then this is your place to go.

It’s a Starbucks, so you already know what to expect when you’re going in. I was at the nearby Apple store to get a check-up on my laptop, and stopped by here afterwards to get a soy chai and catch up on some writing. The line starts at the end of the shop by the Von Maur, which was a little confusing when it got crowded since some folks were standing by the bar waiting for their drinks and some thought that’s where the line to order started. I was a bit surprised at how much seating the store had for a mall location. There were four armchairs by the front and about half a dozen café tables. There is one outlet placed awkwardly by the sugar-and-cream station, and one on the wall between the two big window panels in front. It wasn’t terribly crowded for seating despite the constant flow of people purchasing beverages. The large windows and the location make this a prime people-watching spot, if you’re into mall-watching(it tends to aggravate me after a while and I start writing ranty blogs about consumerism and waste), or if you’re the kind of person who needs a constant flow of activity around in order to remain focused. The ambiance is nice as well, all dark wood and big windows, though the café chairs can get uncomfortable if you stay longer than maybe half an hour. No restrooms in the store itself, so plan accordingly if you want to camp out here for an extended time.

As other reviews have stated, there are 2 in the mall here, this is for the downstairs one. When I’m in the mall and need my fix I prefer this one as it is larger, has more areas to sit in, and is usually a bit faster than the other — your mileage may vary especially depending on if the stroller brigade is in or mall workers are on break and the lines get long regardless. They have always been quick and friendly which works for me. Starbucks now has these little cards in there where if you have an iAnything, you get free downloads of some apps or music. Not bad if you happen to like what the freebie is for the moment.

Gotta get your Starbucks fix while shopping! This is a pretty standard Starbucks; fairly short line to order, but a very long line to get your drink.

I went to try to caramel brulee latte and the gingerbread latte. I was expecting more from both, even though I am not a fan of gingerbread this was was actually better, the caramel brulee tasted like a regular caramal latte, they just wanted it so sound better. I also got a cranberry bliss bar, which at $ 2.25 was a tiny sliver but at the horrible taste it had I was glad I did not have to eat more if it. The icing was tart and hard, the bar had no flavor. The marshmellow dream bar was one of the worst rice crispy treats I have ever had and the very berry coffee cake tasted old and dry and not like coffee cake at all. For all the money you pay at Starbucks one would think they would try to put more effort into their products, I don’t undertand why it is always so full, one should really support the local coffee places Columbus has to offer that value their customers and products.

There are 2 starbucks located in polaris mall. This review is for the store downstairs(see photo 2). The staff is consistenty friendly and for being a «mall store» its great to see that the staff has so many regulars. The café it self is beautiful. Dark brown, reclaimed wood… plenty of space for you and your friends. There’s a high top counter too! I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible so I feel good coming here knowing that this store is LEED certified. The only downside is that there isnt a customer restroom but its a mall, so there are plenty nearby! If youre ever in the mall and need your coffee fix stop in! Plenty of tenured baristas that know what they’re doing and are happy to do so! Well done!

It’s a Starbucks. If you do not want to wait for sugar and caffeine, you can walk across the hall a sip tea samples at Teavana.
