Came in looking for sharp safe gloves (aka patrol gloves or whatever you’d prefer to call them) and was quickly greeted and guided to a fairly nice inventory of options. They were priced as expected and it was nice to be able to try them on before purchasing. I’ll keep them in mind as there was a lot I was unable to look at.

I’ve driven by a million times and never knew what was going on in here. I always flashed back to a scene out of the movie Pulp Fiction — the basement scene with the chains. Anyway, I got over my fear and went for the first time and discovered a really interesting store. I was greeted by a friendly and helpful clerk. As the name says, everything military. I was looking for a footlocker — found not only that, but a lot of other interesting items. They have a lot of cute camo outfits for children, backpacks, just all sorts of interesting military items. You’d be surprised at the interesting stuff, it’s worth checking out.

As an unadvanced collector of militaria, I still find Surplus World to be fascinating. They have everything and even some stuff that you never knew existed. In addition, they sell all sorts of air guns and bb’s, camo clothing, dog tags, and all manner of insignia. Truely an amazing place.

I consider myself an advanced collector of militaria. This place does not have it. They have the standard
fare; airsoft guns, compasses, knives, BDUs, camping supplies, etc. However, this place is pretty large and has two stories of army-navy goods. They have a basement with a
section that is not bad. I picked up a knife pouch for half off, which was nice. They have free American flag bumper stickers, which is nice. Service was a little slow (the two guys at the counter were helping a young kid with an airsoft gun that had a problem).
Better than the average small Army/navy store, but not as good as a real surplus militaria store.
2.5 to 3 star establishment.
