I was captivated from the moment I stepped foot in this truly one-of-a-kind consignment shop. The store itself is feels very hip and laid back, with the exposed brick walls bearing many treasures from times before. The selection of vintage colthing and accessories is second to none, with low prices to boot. Any woman would be enamored with the selection of vintage designer purses(most of them priced far, far below their actual value, including Gucci, early 90’s Coach, Fendi, etc) and vintage jewelry, all priced very reasonably. For men, the store has thorough collection of real vintage clothing, from t-shirts to jeans, jackets(love all the old leather motorcycle jackets!), etc. The Attic also has a notable collection of antique military luggage, accessories, and military banter in general, which is really a niche that is difficult to find. In addition to vintage military goods, the selection of art, furniture, décor, trinkets etc is so beautiful, leave yourself plenty of time to look. This store is charming and intricately put together, it is surely the dream of anyone looking for beautiful vintage and antique items on a budget. I love The Attic and cannot wait to go back!

I have almost totally fallen in love with this little store! I stopped by here last night after the Unilocal event, because I had a voucher for a free cupcake from them. Well, they were all out of cupcakes, but that didn’t stop me from taking a look around. The attic is like stepping inside your funky grandma’s house. Now, for those you that don’t have funky grandma(like I do), there’s baked goods and vintage antiques. But, like Lisa S. said, these antiques aren’t expensive! Jewelry for $ 9 or less, cuff links, cute vintage t-shirts for the cheap, and oh my goodness cheap antique furniture! Jon R. and I saw a kitchen table that was nicer than our own for $ 50! I also wished I could have snagged the imitation mission wood end-table for $ 25! The only thing that I wish, is that they would have more woman’s clothing, but other than that, this place was a great find! The woman who was there told me that Rome, from Basil owns this place too and sort of does this as his hobby. Very cool. Definitely can’t wait to take another look at this store.

I’m as pleased and smitten as a kitten with The Attic! I was a sad panda to see reFINDesign transform this magical little store front and then leave so suddenly. But The Attic keeps all the charm of exposed bricks, unfinished wood and moody dark lighting. I find that most stores in the Short North touting a «vintage» angle tend to increase their prices based on the label. The Attic takes the path less traveled and prices are low. I spotted a pile of folded boy-band t-shirts from the 90’s. Worn out and ironic, you could easily charge $ 15 a shirt(cough cough Rag-o-Rama) and make some serious bank off of hipsters born in the 90’s(ugh, I’m old). But no! These totally hip non-hip shirts are only $ 5! Faded jean jackets, compelling hats and beautiful wraps are all priced much lower than the Short North average. Anything from trinkets to artwork to end tables and suitcases are also on display. Bottles of heavenly scented lotions and perfumes as well as candles are on sale. The Attic has a real worldly vibe — holding on to the last days of imperialism meets NYC bohemian. The Attic can do no wrong so long as they keep their prices low!
