The Blowdry Cafe

After hearing about how great professional blowouts are, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately this blowout seemed more amateur than professional. The girl was nice but only spent 5 seconds asking me what I wanted then proceeded to shampoo only half my head. At this point I knew I probably wouldn’t get what I wanted here. Then after I told her I wanted lots of root volume, she pointed the hairdryer down while drying so again I knew this was a waste of money. When she did turn the chair around and ask if I liked it, I didn’t feel like being mean or taking time to redo it so I just asked her to tease the roots and left. I redid my hair later. Needless to say I don’t recommend wasting your money here.

Booked a few blowouts for my sisters bachelorette party. The staff did a great job and made us feel beautiful. All of our hair kept through the next day! We laughed at how good our hair looked in the am and that we should go back out. The staff made sure we had everything we needed. My sister had a great experience with her makeup

If I could leave 0 stars I would. My friends and I came for her birthday and it was terrible. The service was poor and it was an awful way to start her birthday party.
To start, she got her makeup done. Looked worse than when she had a bare face. Probably because they use cheap drug store makeup… Are the makeup artists even licensed here? Or what? We all got eyelashes put on and they looked hilarious… So inexperienced it’s laughable.

They offered us mimosas but complained about going to the back to prepare them. Ok… Then the drinks were WARM. Gross
They were not busy at ALL and didn’t even take the time to make sure my friend was pleased with her look… Didn’t tell her happy birthday even… What is wrong with these people?
Overall the hair looked terrible. I asked to have a «stylist» go over my hair with a bobby pin to pin it back because it looked so bad and the girl said NO ??? Because she was too busy? Probably in the back on her cell phone checking Facebook or gossiping with the other twits that work there.
Anyways, we go to pay, and I tip the girls for all the wonderful (lol) work they did … I tipped over 30% because I felt bad for them… And the receptionist looked at me and said «that’s it?» As I handed her cash for tips…
Worst. Experience. Ever.

In town for a few hours for an event and they totally came through. I was impressed with the ambiance, welcoming nature of the place and all the questions she asked me about what exactly I wanted. I would not have even known what to ask for. Coffee, expressing, water and cookies are for free which is just a nice added touch. Love the brand consistency of this place and that it is owned by two female entrepreneurs. Thank you for a great service!

LOVE this place! The decoration, first off, is so cute. The back wall décor where the hair wash station is located has the neatest idea of wood overlay. The ladies working here are friendly, fun, and vibrant. You are offered coffee or drinks when you come in and that is definitely a perk! There are also desserts! The shampoo and condition part were amazing– what a nice massage! My actual blow out was fabulous. It stayed in style for a good two days with full volume. I will be back again with family and friends! Highly recommended.

After reading yesterday that the blowdrys were $ 10 off today (Black Friday), I made an online appt. for 8 am. I’m not a Black Friday shopper and wanted to avoid any traffic and rush. I was greeted by two young ladies, one of whom said she would be doing my hair and the other offered to get me coffee. We chatted about the style I wanted and then she gave me a thorough wash. Their sink chairs have recliner-​type extensions on which to rest your legs, which I’ve never seen before at a salon. She did a great job on my hair, and used some cool products, but didn’t do a hard sell. Both ladies were sweet and I will probably return when there is another special. Another service they have is full makeup applications, which is very enticing. The salon itself is nicely laid out and clean. It was easy to find on Reed, tucked into a strip mall.

Great spot! Super easy to make appointments. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. I absolutely LOVED my hair, a sleek blowout with some braiding. I was a little nervous about getting a makeup application but it looked fantastic. Lovely lashes too. Will definitely be back!

From my first phone call to make same time appointments for a friend and myself to the time we left, the staff members were exceptionally nice. We were offered mimosas and pastries and invited to describe what we hoped to achieve using their style menu as a guide. Even for someone like myself who is unaccustomed to doing/​having my hair done, the process (about 45min for myself) added some fun before our event. Unfortunately our beautiful styles did not last as long as we hopped… about 2 hours. But hair types etc. differ so I shall not blame them.

I went here to have my hair done for a wedding. I did not have a good experience here at all. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and got nothing close to it. I had to go home immediately to wash my hair and re do it myself. Such a waste of money. Very disappointed. The stylist didn’t even use a curling iron. Only used a round brush. I was mortified when she turned me around to look in the mirror. Absolutely terrible. I will never go back here.
