The guacamole and tacos are delicious. The dining space is very intimate. They play records and serve up some nice drinks. The service is ok but quick. I enjoy eating here!

The fish tacos were delicious, spicy and savory. The tacos I had here are probably some of the better tacos that I have had in a long time. The atmosphere at El Camino Inn is laid back and the servers are great. I will be going back to this place for sure.

This place has the best chips and salsa that I’ve ever put in my mouth. All of the food is amazing and you can’t go wrong with anything. Try one of their Paloma’s at the bar, Delish!

Karla was the best in helping us get our orders ready and the food was delicious for our holiday party! We will definitely use them again! Thank you for your time and effort in preparing the awesome tacos for us! Greatly appreciated!

I love this place with all my heart. Great people watching too. Fair prices, decent tequila selection, excellent margaritas, tacos are out of this world. Usually they play records.

Love everything about the El Camino Inn, from its swanky interior to its fresh margaritas. Staff is friendly and attentive. It’s also perfectly located on a cool stretch of Downtown bars. Food isn’t the best Mexican in the city, but the other positive factors easily compensate for that. Well worth a visit.

I would come back here if I wanted a quiet, low key place to sip a margarita with a friend. This place definitely feels like it’s a bar first and they also happen to have Mexican food. They’ve got good chips– thick and crunchy, but you have to pay for them. The menu is limited, I got a carnitas tostada and I was pretty happy with it. The portions are generous so I didn’t mind spending $ 7 on a tostada. We also went in at lunch time on Friday and it was totally empty. SO that’s something to keep in mind if you need a quiet place that gets food out quickly during the workday.

I really really really like El Camino. I think they may have some of the best barbacoa in the Columbus Metro Area. Most everything is on point here; drinks(get the paloma!), chips, salsa, guacamole, meats, things you eat with meat, vinyl playing over the loud speaker, the ambiance of the space… If I’ve got a complaint, 75% of the times I’ve dined here, I’ve had less than stellar service. They weren’t very enthusiastic or particularly friendly. It’s not like they were UNfriendly, but just… maybe that’s the vibe they’re going for? Like maybe they are expecting Anthony Bourdain to show up at any minute and anyone else that walks in is a disappointment? I don’t know, it’s just a feeling I have. Or maybe I’m being too sensitive. Bottom line: the food is delicious and the service is attentive and good enough. Just don’t expect the friendliness you would get from other dining establishments in the area and you’ll be fine.

Amazing margaritas! They use some kind of orange juice concoction to add sweetness. Soooo good. Must try! Right now, they are tied with Nada for my favorite margarita in Columbus. Nada’s is a very classic margarita while El Camino puts a new twist on a classic and I can’t decide which I like better! Bakersfield is behind these two, in case you were wondering :) Great chips and salsa too. You do have to pay for them though. Chips are very similar to Nada’a and Condado’s– thick fried chips. Loved their salsa– it’s got chunkier tomatoes in it, more like a pico but still actually salsa at the same time. If that makes any since… We had a couple tacos here which were good. My mom actually went back later that week for lunch while she was downtown for work. She ordered a quesadilla, ate half of it then brought the rest to my work so I could have the other half! After trying the quesadilla I would say I probably prefer that over the tacos. It does have shredded chicken, so next time I’ll have to remember to see if I could swap it for grilled(personal preference though). They only had a couple tables outside, but they have a patio none the less! The inside is fairly small but cozy. We sat outside. Being outside the service was a little slow and less attentive but we were in no real hurry and just enjoyed sitting outside sipping on our margaritas.

Get the margaritas!!! They are not too sweet not to strong, just the right balance. I would also recommend the chips and guacamole, and the salsa is good but the guacamole is way better. I’ve had the tortas and the burrito, and they were top notch, very good. The atmosphere here is very laid back and chill, so if you are looking for a quiet night out, this is the place. The space is also a little small, so it might difficult to accommodate if you are with a large group. If you have not been here, then do yourself a favor and eat here ASAP!

El Camino Inn has one of the best margaritas I’ve had at a restaurant /bar. I haven’t had their food, other than chips & salsa. I really enjoy going to El Camino to relax and have a good drink. The atmosphere is very casual & the restaurant is usually a little dark, very cool for a relaxing afternoon. The patio is small, seriously small, like 2 tables small. It is a cool patio to enjoy nice weather. Though, this is one of the few places where I prefer to sit indoors.

Great atmosphere on a Saturday night with friends. We roll deep and had around 15 people. We all were able to fit into this small establishment just fine around 630 pm. We had amazing service for one servicer covering our entire group. The atmosphere, location and service was the highlight. The food was catch 22. I got the tostada and the gordita. I have had better. The flavor was bland and both selections came out soggy. Please do not confuse simple with bland. I like simple ingredients bursting with flavor and this was not it. Our bill was pleasing since we didn’t quit eat all of our food. The margaritas were the real winner.

I’ve been here a handful of times, and have had pretty consistent service and quality each time. As with many hip bars that serve tacos, the food here isn’t quite as good or as cheap as an authentic taco truck, but it’s respectable. They charge you for chips and salsa, which is a negative in my book, but the other aspects of the place make up for that. Also, no drafts. But, they do have cheap cans of Modelo and Tecate, and $ 4 Palomas during happy hour. The margaritas here are really good. This bar has a cool vibe– they’ll play a vinyl record for you if you bring one in! The service is prompt and friendly. It’s worth a visit, and a great compliment to the other locations on the 4th and Main St strip.

Three words to know when you walk in the door: «Cubano Torta please.» That’s it really. Order yourself a real Mexican beer and enjoy the vinyl record soundtracks playing in the background while you wait. Staff is very friendly and the drinks are well-made. Where else can you find radish on your taco in Columbus? Bonus points for the Mexican coke and retro décor.

The whole place smelled of sewage tonight. Hopefully I can come back when the issue is fixed and revise this review.

On a crawl, my friend and I popped in here — he knew the bartender, and it just so happened a couple former coworkers waved to me as we were passing — so after popping in for a quick«hello» and discovering my friend knew the bartender, we figured it would be rude to just skip out and keep walking — so we ordered a couple drinks. The margaritas here are awesome. Really fucking good, and I’m the kind of person that is annoyed by most places’ margaritas. The food — looked and smelled good, but as we had eaten not too long prior, we skipped it this time, but the prices seem right for«cheap tacos» — so it’s a matter of if they’re actually as good as they look(and if I can get out for less than $ 6 for a meal). I’ll be back, now that I know when the girl says«I want a margarita» I know where to go. The space — is not friendly. Well, it’s friendly if you like bumping elbows with everyone walking by. It’s tight. Coats will brush you. People will bump into you. It will happen. It’s not ideal — but then again, if you’re here, you’re probably going for a taco and a margarita, so don’t be a bitch and lay claim — eat your food, drink your drink, and get your ass to 16-bit and play a game.

Atmosphere. That’s what I come to El Camino Inn for, in all honesty. I like that it’s dark and cozy. And I love that you can bring in some records, and the bartender will play your tunes. The pitchers of margaritas are some of the very best I’ve ever had. None of that pre-mixed sugary crap. Nope. Tequila, Triple Sec, and fresh squeezed juices. That’s what I’m talkin about! I will say, I do not come here for the food. I’ve tried a few things, and it just doesn’t do it for me. But that’s fine with me. I’m totally happy having this be a place for me to scoot up to the bar, liten to good music, and have a great drink.

We arrived around 5:30 on Thursday and there were only a few other patrons, both at the bar and in a booth. From what I read prior to the visit, I was aware that the guac was good and the choices for vegetarians/pescetarians are slim. What I liked: it’s a cool, hip, bar. I felt comfortable, but would really like to sit in the big booth in the back, if I were with more people. If I lived closer, I could be a regular at the bar. They play vinyl. The servers/bartenders are pleasant. The happy hour prices are great. The $ 4 Paloma was tasty, and they have $ 2 Tecates. The guac was indeed good, as were the fresh chips. I didn’t taste the salsa, because I wanted to finish the guac. Chips, salsa and guac together total $ 7. I asked about vegetarian options, and was told they can make anything vegetarian. Yay! What I hated: the veggie tacos. Taco. I only ate 1 of the 2. Yuck. Mushrooms in a taco? Ewww. Not a good variety of veggie inside the(soft) taco. Another person in our party had the veggie burrito which looked good. I don’t know, maybe next time. I would like to have a fish taco, but they are only served on Tuesdays. One person with us ordered a club soda with lime. She received a tall glass of tap water, no lime. I gave her the lime that came on top of my can of Tecate. I didn’t get my requested lemon with my water either. I will come back, but if I want a fabulous taco, I’ll stick with Local Cantina.

Deliciously affordable Mexican and margaritas right in downtown Columbus! We managed to walk in to the fairly full restaurant and snag a table immediately. $ 7 margaritas were delicious, and the food is so cheap! $ 2 tacos and so much more! Boyfriend ordered 2 tacos and wolfed them down(definitely a bit small, but hey, it’s only $ 2!!) I ordered a carne asada gordita and a cup of the sopa. The sopa was delicious, and the gordita was very good as well. They were light on the refried beans(a big plus for me). The individual gordita was a mere $ 3, and since it was fried, it felt heavier and left me full after eating it, making for a super cheap dinner. Overall, the interior was inviting, staff was extremely friendly, and the food was well executed and very cheap! I highly recommend for a cheap dinner option!

They play records here yea!!! The food is really inexpensive. It’s mexican. There’s like 12 items on the menu. On Tuesday’s they have fish tacos The food comes out almost instantly. It tastes good.(I’m not much into Mexican food — but I liked it). The server helped me pick some tasty items — both food and adult beverage related. El Diablo is a good drink, and the«sandwich» is really really really good! Get it with Chorizo. Their drinks are relatively inexpensive, too. Small, cosy place
