I came here with a few sorority sisters of mine for a get together. I loved their Reuben and would come back again for that alone.

The BEST fish and chips in Columbus! I remember coming here almost 3 years ago and thought the same, have tried fish and chips at other locations and NOONE can beat their fish and chips! Beautiful setting. I came for lunch with a coworker during the week and we were seated right away. Our waiter was so friendly and service was amazing. He said it gets very busy at night and their menu selection has amazing selections. Many kinds of beer available. Great place to catch up with friends and eat some amazing food, you will not be disappointed! !

My son and I popped in for lunch today. We were the first people just after 11AM. The atmosphere was really cool. They have Belhaven on tap and this made me really happy. My son ordered the Hot Ham & Swiss on a pretzel bun with fries(chips). I ordered the Cuban, of all things, with chips. I thought it was really cool that they had Belhaven on tap. This is not a beer you see on tap very often at all, as a matter of fact, I think it was the first time for me. Their beer selection appeared to be very large. The food was great. The service was great. A Belhaven draft was $ 6.50. All in all, we spent about $ 39 with tip for lunch. Prices were slightly high, but not outrageous. You must also take into consideration that it is part of the Polaris fashion mall so rent must be super high! All in all this is a great place to pop in for a quick bite to eat. I thought the portion size was appropriate. It was just enough to fill you up but not so much you couldn’t really eat it all! I would definitely go here again. Thanks to the waiter because he was very friendly and informative. Scratching my head on why they all wear kilts but whatever it was still cool!

Service sucked, food always good, waiter was more interested in the tv and clearing empty table than refilling our drinks

I come to the pub frequently and I’ve never had bad service. I’ve sat at the bar, sat with a group of 15+ people and service is always great. All of their Food is delicious. I don’t think I’ve tried one thing that wasn’t good. Their goat cheese dip is my favorite, but it doesn’t come with enough pita bread so you’ll have to ask for more. They have this creamy dill sauce that’s like a ranch but better. You have to get it to dip your fries in! Wednesday’s are half off wine bottles all day! The ambience is nice, it’s dark but it does tend to get a little loud in there. The only thing I want it for them to add a few more items to their menu, I’m getting tired of the same things lol! The pub will always be one of my go to restaurants!

Not real busy at 8:30 on Saturday night. The service was prompt and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Beers and dinner were brought out promptly. My English Pot Roast was delicious. My wife had a fish sandwich that was huge, and she said it was very good.

The décor is wonderful and seemingly authentic. The food is good, the appetizers are great. The BBQ crisps are wonderful. Their beer selection constantly changes(good) but their draft selection seems to have dwindled recently(bad).

Nice non smoking patio with plenty of seating. Really wobbly tables. HORRIBLE service. Get your own drink before you are seated. Be bold enough to flag a server down for anything. They will probably deliver your food and drinks to the wrong table first before it finds its way to you at your wobbly table. Gouda and chicken pasta was watery. Didn’t come close to meeting expectations Fish and chips: amazing. I will crave this. Is this A Ok or Meh, I’ve had better? The patio and fish saved it.

Got the Ruben sandwich and it was pretty good. Not the greatest but not the worst either. The pub is a great place for beers and a good scotch but if you are looking for best quality food items there are better places. My review is not negative because I know I am eating at a pub and not a 5 star restaurant. it’s a great place for an affordable lunch and a great beer while the wife shops.

My significant other and I have been to this place a good handful of times and we’ve consistently had delicious food and a good time. Last time we were there we sat at the bar and we were completely ignored by our waitress(which looking at the other reviews seems like a common thing). I suggest if you go, get a table. We’ve had nothing but great service at the tables. They have the best fish and chips that I’ve personally had. Their Lamb burger with the apple cranberry chutney is just mouth watering. Bangers and mash are great. I haven’t had one thing on their menu I haven’t liked.

On a night in Polaris, my boyfriend and I stopped in here after a walk through the mall for a drink. We made our way through the very British-ly decorated pub over to the central bar. I really liked the multi-level setup with raised platforms for some of the booths, really taking advantage of the enormous space. It took a while for our aloof bartender to take our drink orders, and only saw her briefly throughout our time there, despite the place being mostly empty. My cider was pretty good, and they had a fair selection. However, seeing every bartender except ours when our drinks were empty and we were ready to close out for fifteen minutes left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I was disappointed because I loved the atmosphere, but the vibe from the staff wasn’t all that welcoming.

The Pub Polaris is the go to place I have for an amazing scotch egg! They also have legit ciders(Magners) to compete with the poor Angry Orchard and Strongbow. Pub wise, in Columbus, they are also one of the only ones to have brown sauce! My only complaint is a recent change to a one page menu. It helps narrow it down, but I lose a little with the substitution of American staples. I will continue to go, simply for that amazing scotch egg.

Hit this place because the Cheesecake Factory had a 2 ½ hour wait. I am glad they did. Good food, service and beer. I tried a couple different drafts. We had the spring rolls for an appetizer and really liked them. I had Shepard’s Pie and my wife had the Gouda Cheese Pasta. Both of us were thrilled with our choices. The waiter was very friendly. First time here; we will be back.

I really enjoy the pub. It has one of my favorite menu items in the columbus area — bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with seasoned goat cheese, roasted to perfection. Their bangers and mash, as well as their shepherd’s pie, are both delicious as well. Also their turkey rachel(think Reuben with turkey) is a light favorite. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside. Amazing wood bar with cute, euro kitschy décor. Plus, all of the servers wear kilts… so there’s that to talk about. The only unfortunate thing is the price relates to the portion sizes. You’re shelling out quite a bit to still leave a little hungry.

I was only here for a few drinks as I met some friends for a little bit. I would enjoy coming back for dinner. The place was very nice inside, roomie and spacious, with a nice larger bar. Beer selections were wonderful and good friendly service.

It’s all about the Speckled Hen and Scotch Eggs, baby! The bartenders there are always fantastic folk. Super friendly, and generally smart and witty. Do yourself a favor… get some friends together and go on a Sunday morning for Bloody Marys, brews, shots, and scotch eggs.

I stopped here on my last night in town looking for a lighter atmosphere and some good beer. I ordered the half and half to drink, which was poured perfectly, and the traditional burger belhaven style. I was glad they included a fried pickle as I was wishing I could have ordered them, but couldn’t eat them all alone. The burger was really good, but you’ve got to be in the mood for a heavy meal with lots of meat and cheese to enjoy this style. Since I was born in Wisconsin, this tasted like home. The chips(American fries) were the best I’ve had in a very long time. My server was truly fun, she would spend as much time as you needed explaining beers(10 minutes at the table next to me) and she was present when I needed anything. My only disappointment was the dessert I took to go. I really don’t recommend you do this, since they have to deconstruct it to make it travel, which melts the cold stuff and hardens the warm stuff. I think the Jamaican cheesecake would have been epic if I’d eaten it there. I’m so glad to be coming back to Columbus in a couple weeks so I can try more things here!

Great place to hang out with you friends over a drink. Tried their fried pickle and coffee beer, the fried pickles aren’t sliced so becareful they are steaming hot! Also, the space is huge but noise level is pretty high.
