This place is great: Good spectrum of beers, plenty of space, darts and pool tables, clean, crowd not as rowdy as other bars in the area, friendly bar tender, poutine was surprisingly good. Didn’t find anything to complain about.

So I stopped in Thursday for an after meeting beverage/happy hour and was expecting a crammed rundown dive bar. I was pleasantly surprised to find a recently updated space with ample seating and very friendly bar tenders. The biggest score was the Thursday special was Jameson for $ 3.00! There is a great bar food menu and a second bar upstairs. Three Sheets exceeded my expectations and is my new favorite. I wish I lived closer but will be back again and again…

We came to Three Sheets on a Friday night around 7:30 and besides the bartenders I think we were the only people in the joint. Being the only patrons we received first class service. We got $ 4 Bloody Mary’s and some beers and headed upstairs to play pool. After our first game the change machine expired, so the bar generously gave us 4 free quarters. We ordered the poutine and it was so good we decided it should probably be illegal because mass consumption was inevitable and dangerous. Look, I don’t know why this place struggles with clientele. It’s got good vibes, good service, and good tunes. I guess the change machine is temporarily out of service but just ask the bartender for quarters and she’ll hook you up.

Visited Three Sheets for Happy Hour on a Tuesday night. Only about seven customers when we arrived. Three Sheets occupies the old T. Murrays spot next to Hi-Beck in German Village. Vibe… A little sparse for Happy Hour on a Tuesday, not sure what kind of crowd they get at other times or rest of week, but a chance to get to know the bartenders and owners. Beer selection… Only about 10 beers on tap, which seems low in this competitive market. Food… One page menu that is pretty awesome and not healthy! Tried wings with pineapple ghost sauce. Whew! Hot with an even hotter after kick. I think there is a $.75 wing night sometime in the week. Potato skins… Best I’ve ever had. Fresh sour cream, crispy skins loaded with bacon and green onions. Yum! Offered a ½ order of poutine fries for only $ 4.50. A steal! This place has a lot of potential and a nice addition to German Village.

Small covered patio out front, perfect for smokers. On my visit some of the WORST rap music ever was blaring from the speakers. My dog begged me to let him back in the car. Inside, a clean cavernous bar with friendly barkeep, who offered to let me sample some tap beers. Reasonably priced. Surprisingly clean modern restrooms. It’s a decent dive bar, as the name suggests. I just think there are better options nearby — but I don’t live here, and it had a good happy hour crowd. So, take my opinion for what it’s worth.

I hadn’t heard about this place until my buddy suggested we go here last weekend after the brew fest at Brewmaster’s Gate, and I loved it. Apparently, it opened up right next to High Beck some time last year, but they didn’t actually start serving food until about a month ago. The people running this place come from Novak’s in Arena District, but the two places could not be less similar. The space consists of two floors. The first floor is very open and large with seating for dinner as well as an area for darts. It’s a bit dark, and I think they could add something more to it, but I’m not sure what. I didn’t get a chance to check upstairs, but I’m told there’s pool tables up there. They also have a great patio out front where we sat which was a great view right out to High St. The servers and bartenders were very helpful and super friendly. There wasn’t a whole lot of them on when we were there, so it was a little slow at times, especially since we were outside, and they were behind the bar, but that’s understandable. Now that they have food, it’ll probably be something that will probably need addressed if the place gets more popular. They have a pretty good beer selection on draft, but the food is what really surprised me. They don’t have a very large menu, but the poutine and wings that I ordered were amazing. The wings were some of the best I’ve had in Columbus with just the right amount of crisp. I think the sauce was either hot or spicy BBQ; I can’t remember, but whatever it was, I really enjoyed it. I don’t get down to Brewery District as much as I’d like, but a place like this would get me to come back down and then make a night out of the rest of the bars in the area. I hope they get their name out more, because I think it could do really well on this strip of High St, especially with the food they’re cranking out.

I love this place. Family owned bar in the Brewery District right next to hi beck. Good beer selection, I always get the Summit Pilsener and play darts while there.

I discovered this place soon after its opening in the summer 2014 and instantly felt like home. From the open layout, friendly staff behind the bar and door staff, I wished such a comfortable place was close to me. While there is no kitchen, they offered free pretzels and cheese puffs, so eat up before coming. The bar tender Jenny is a hoot and I’ve returned many times because it’s just the vibe I like. Laid back atmosphere, solid drinks, and patrons of all types that seem to respect others and the establishment. While High Beck may be the loud, brash bar next door don’t discount Three Sheets.

Good local spot for a beer/cocktail. Nice upstairs for hanging out. Locally owned and opening a kitchen soon. Would for sure go back. Friendly servers and all around solid spot. On Cbus line and close to German village which is a plus.
