The lady yelling orders at the chefs was crazy rude. She was being incredibly sassy and threatening to make employees clock out. Stood around and yelled at people without ever doing anything. Then she touched someone’s to go order with her bare hands. It was hella gross. Our waitress was super nice and everyone working was doing a good job. Food was waffle house-ish. Super sorry they have to work for such a terrible person.

I went to Waffle House for the first time in a few years the other day, and I’d have to say it was a bit of a weird experience. Prior to this, I’d only been in Waffle House during the day, so I’m not sure if evening service is typically odd, but that’s what I encountered. First, I have to say that our server was very pleasant. However, there was a significant amount of time between when we placed our drink orders and when we received drinks, even though there were very few people in the restaurant at the time. Additionally, our meals came out rather piecemeal. Not only did everybody in my group get their food at different times, but even individual orders were broken down so that a person might receive their eggs, wait ten minutes, get toast, wait five minutes, get something else, etc. The food itself was good enough, but the overall dining experience was not particularly good.

Was kind of hoping that this Waffle House would be a little more novel and interesting than your normal Waffle Houses, as chains seem to try harder to be interesting around the campus area. But, no, it’s your usual Waffle House. Cheap food, paltry seating, overworked staff, and policemen are all routine. At this one, you get the added bonus of passed out college students. In summary, skip this place unless it’s the only kitchen in the area that is open and serving breakfast– which it was at 3am last night. Come out in your pajamas or dirty sweatpants. No need to even brush your hair. The one bonus here: the people are nice and they’ll treat you with respect no matter what you look like.

Generally speaking, Waffle House is a great restaurant. The main food in Waffle House is burgers and waffles. I ordered a cheeseburger and it tasted delicious. However, if the burger were not that oily, it would be better. The waiters in Waffle House are very friendly and patient. As an international student, sometimes I don’t understand some names of food. They will explain the names clearly. All in all, Waffle House is a good place to go with friends.

Tuesday moring, I went to the Waffle house ate the breakfast. Personally, service was great and the eggs were perfect, however the best part was the potato situation, there is a seemingly endless list of items you can add to the hash browns. I added cheese and onions, but will be back to try more. Their jalapeño cheddar biscuits are awesome, and can be substituted for the bread in any breakfast sandwich.

Slow rude service It looks like every employee is a smoker I went to this waffle house around 2 am when I arrived at this location. Almost all the employees were smoking by the front door. So anyway. I came inside and sat and waited for at least 20 minutes before this very rude waitress took my order Now I have been serve by bad servers before but this girl look like she hated her job she was very unprofessional. I really don’t like to post bad reviews. But this place deserves one. I actually enjoyed the food. But the service it’s pretty bad I will not be returning.

I enjoy this WH. Food is great. I enjoy playing music on the jukebox, although I admit the music was a bit too loud for me.

If I could give less than one star, I would. Found a huge black hair in my food. Avoid this place like the plague.

A friend said the waffle here is decent and a bunch of people made fun of her for it, so a group of us came here to try it out for ourselves. Annnd it was pretty bad. I didn’t get the steak for myself, I just tried a bite of what others ordered and I didn’t need a second. Humble ol’ me got a single pecan waffle. Which was okay… except the pecans were at the past-stale-almost-rancid stage. I still ate the whole thing cause I was hungry but I wouldn’t opt for this again. Not one star because at least it was cheap, the restrooms were okay, and also because the waitress complimented me for my owl hat :)

First off, I must say that the employees here are absolute saints. Working in a crazy campus location, dealing with drunkards, and obnoxious college kids night after night and receiving little to no tips is a fate I would not wish on anyone. The food was mediocre at best, but after 1am I really can’t have too high of standards. The environment is chaotic and messy, but with the amount of traffic they get, it’d be almost impossible to keep it spotless. Quality food and service? no. Incredible people watching? yes.(who knows, you may get serenaded by a drunken frat boy or get to see a fight break out)

Yes. I am giving Waffle House 2 stars. Can you even believe it??? But listen, if you go in with the correct expectations [aka a painful stomach ache after and a lot less money] you’ll come out«a-ok», which is actually more the 3 star rating [i don’t think so though.] This Waffle House is basically like all the others; which is actually hilarious considering it’s brand new on the inside. They somehow seem to make a new building seem old and gross. Also, has anyone else noticed that Waffle House is extremely overpriced? Well listen, I work next door, and it REALLY is. Why is it like 8 dollars for some eggs, bacon, hashbrowns and toast? That is about the cost of Bob Evans; which is far superior. Ugh. Fun fact: This location hires ex-cons. Which adds a fun bit of flare to your experience. I completely disagree with another reviewer’s comments that the staff is all students. Again, I work next door, they hire very few students. I promise. However; the food is grease-mongeringly delicious, i mean, bacon, man. BACON. and their waffles are half decent. I enjoy my meals there [while they are going down.] Now of course, only two stars. Because it’s Waffle House, and I truly don’t believe it could ever receive more. But if you are tanked and in the mood for greasey breakfast delights, head on over!

This was my first time seeing a WH that wasn’t a stand alone building with the iconic signage. Once inside though it felt like home; assuming home is a Waffle House. I got my standard order of cheese grits and some hashbrowns with a bunch of crap on it. This time I did chili, gravy, onions, and some other explosive ingredients. So good! If I had gone to college, I would have wanted a Waffle House like this on campus.

Pretty standard Waffle House, except for not having the iconic square yellow letters on a sign outside. This restaurant is basically in a very long strip mall, and parking is behind unless you’re walking. We had a tough time finding the parking behind as it isn’t really marked. Look for the Key Bank parking — that is basically behind the Waffle House. Food was as expected from a Waffle House — plentiful and tasty. Service was a tad bit on the slow side, but they did have a pretty big order in before us. Mostly college kids holding down the staff positions here as this is across the street from OSU. Good place for a solid breakfast, assuming Waffle House/old style greasy spoon breakfasts are what you are looking to get. I loved it and will keep stopping at Waffle House when I’m in an area that has them.

I’m a big fan of Waffle House! Greasy food, cheap prices and open 24 – 7! This has to be one of the CLEANEST ones I have been to. Prices are really CHEAP, food is prepared QUICKLY, and the staff is super FRIENDLY. I say if you’re up for an adventure, some greasy-late night food and don’t want to hurt your wallet, check it out. I find everyone should visit at least once.

This place is going to be insane when OSU starts back up in the fall. The food was good – cooked better than other Waffle House locations and it was quick. The parking sucks a bit but I think most of the traffic is going to be on foot. The place also seemed smaller than other Waffle Houses. Less seats? I think a Waffle House is a good thing to have on the OSU campus. I’ll have to visit it at least once late at night to see how they deal with drunk college kids wanting food.

I went yesterday evening. Members of the kitchen personnel were just hanging out when I came in, holding amusing conversations. Apparently they were also doubling as hosts and servers, as I had had no idea the place had *actual* servers until I was midway through my meal, the servers arrived with [a guy I assume is the] the manager for their later shifts, and more customers were filling the restaurant. I’d say the kitchen personnel did a good enough job with everything, though, although it was pretty funny watching one of the cooks accidentally burn one waffle. My own waffles were great, and my grits were good. The biscuits and gravy could have been better. I don’t think Waffle House provides real butter, but I can deal. Oh, and the manager(?) gave away free paper hats with the initials«WH» on them! :-)

Typical Waffle House menu. 10% service charge added for carry out orders. No parking lot though so you have to pay to park in one of the garages. It was usually crowded and busy with college students during the first few weeks it opened. It is open 24⁄7. They have a jukebox inside. Update: It is now summer and the place is not as busy during the day. It is still busy at night and they had two security guards there last night to keep out the bums. This place is larger than Buckeye Donuts and does not have bums hanging out inside like the Mcdonald’s down the street. It is also cleaner than the McDonald’s down the street. I also saw down the street EggFast is preparing to reopen next door to Five Guys Burgers & Fires. Seems like south campus is finally starting to get some 24⁄7 places like the north campus.(north campus has buckeye donuts and mcdonald’s).
