Too bad people in Columbus only know donatos style. You can coin that term in Columbus cuz all the pizza is the same — and seemingly comes from one big factory which I haven’t been able to locate on a map but I know it exists. Reasons this place could never succeed are as follows: 1. Terrible choice of location 2. As reasons mentioned, Cbus people cannot embrace good pizza. They are stuck with a cracker crust fixation indefinitely. 3. See 1 and 2. This establishment back home has lines out the door. If I were the investor in this business I woulda pushed for some more market research.

My fiancée and I used to frequent this place alot. Hubby is from chicago so he is particular about his pie lol. We really enjoyed our pizza and would drive from lockbourne to grove city as we love local places vs chains. After a while the quality went down. We usually ordered large half mushrooms n steak ground half pep n sausage with extra cheese. I wasnt excited about the fact that they used canned mushrooms but I loved the steak ground flavor. A few times our crust was really undercooked, we simply popped it in the oven but one time we witnessed a employee eating pepperoni while making a pizza, which is quite ridiculous. Overall the managers were great and this was a great place to get a decent pie

If I wanted a loaf of bread with pep and cheese this is where I would go. Toppings were good but were over powered with the massive amount of crust. The only bright side is the sauce was decent. For $ 16 for a two topping pie it’s not the best deal but like I mentioned before one piece will fill you up due to the thick crust.

Great Pizza, great access to the freeway. I try to make the trip over at least every other week. Wedgewood is popular in northeast ohio-specifically Youngstown where it was founded. The staff is friendly, service is prompt, and prices are decent. Nice dine in area or carry out. Even has a drive thru.

Wedgewood is an awesome little pizza place in Grove City. Get the meatball pizza and you will be pleased.

Great Youngstown pizza. One issue… is it necessary to post the«restrooms are for customers only» on the front door? How many people run into the store to use the can? Customers don’t like to see what they can’t do before they open the door. It does nothing for customers and it just looks unwelcoming. What would Fernando do?

This is one of the best pizzas I have had in Columbus. Especially the white pizza. Very good pizza

One bite took me back to the east coast. The owner takes pride in his employees work. The pizza is never late and always hot. I taste quality in every bite.

My husband and I stopped in this past Sunday to give this place a try, and we were very happy we did. We got a 12 inch sausage pizza, and it was outstanding — the sausage was just a bit spicy and in nice big chunks, the cheese was very flavorful, and the crust was delicious. We will be back — I can’t wait to try to other toppings!

We went here to help the Mid Ohio Food Bank with Food Fight. This was our first time here and we had the royal treatment. I’m sorry I don’t remember the gentleman’s name but he went over the menu with us. He is Italian(I am too!) and he talked about his mom making fresh bread and topped it with olive oil, sliced tomatoes, oregano and grated Romano cheese and I remember the same sandwiches. They have a pizza called Fresh Tomato. We did a half and half the other was the Original Everything. We had a 16 inch sheet on a Sicilian crust(between a thick & thin). They both were so delicious we couldn’t decide which we liked better. They said it taste just as good cold, can’t wait till tomorrow. The dining room was very clean filled with table and chairs. They had fountain and bottled drinks. Everyone was so nice and friendly. They haven’t seen the last of us!

I was highly disappointed after a stop to Wedgewood Fernando’s Pizza. The service was fine, but the pizza is definitely not on my top list. The place is nice and spacious. They have a large TV to amuse and entertain. What really caught my eye was the 5+ pizza ovens they had. Pizza Cook off, anyone? I always thought Sicilian Pizza was thinner and close to a Brooklyn/NY style, but perhaps my perception was completely and utterly wrong. We ordered a 12 inch round house special, which came out pipping hot with cheese, diced green peppers, and pepperoni, but it failed to amaze. My first reaction was… This tastes like fair pizza, but another slice into it… it came it me… The pizza is on par with Pizza Hut’s Pan pizza… the sauce, the thicker crust, the bland pepperoni’s and the ungodly amounts of grease. So much grease that I had to grab some extra plates, because it seeped onto the table. People who enjoy coming here are most likely coming for the price and not the quality of the pizza. Also, Wedgewood offered slim pickings on their menu other than pizza. I am disappointed enough at this point to recommend Zanzi’s up the road. This place will definitely not be on my places to stop in the future.

Let’s start out by saying the dough is made from scratch and beats every other pizza place in G.C. The owner at times will experiment with different topping combinations and set the pizza out so customers can sample it.

perfect pizza. definitely the best thick crust pizza in columbus. the husband was so happy when they opened shop here; he is from youngstown where the original wedgewood is located. we do need to hike the 25 minutes from within the city, but it’s well worth the trek. my favorite pizza is potato and onion and the husband’s is the spinach. also, prices are amazing!

Wedgewood Fernando’s is definitely different from your normal C-bus pizza. The crust is more Sicilian style(thicker, like Pizza Hut’s «pan pizza», but not quite as greasy). The toppings are not edge to edge(thank goodness!). That said, the pepperonis and mushrooms did not distinguish themselves — they were solid, but not spectacular. The peps stayed fairly limp(no cupping or crisping) and the shrooms, to my best guess, were canned/blanched. What stood out the most on this pizza, for me, was the sauce — it had a nice tartness to it and the proportion was perfect to complement the thicker crust. All in all — a very tasty pizza at a great price, as we got out of there for about $ 10.

My husband and I have tried many of the pizza places here in Grove City, including the chain pizza joints. You can’t beat the price at Wedgewood. We get a 16 inch and I can’t believe how inexpensive it is compared to another place for the same size that charges twice as much. We’ve had the cannolis and like another reviewer, was very surprised how small they are, one for a dollar. That’s the only negative comment I have. We always order online for delivery. We had one instance where the pizza didn’t arrive after an hour and 15 minutes. We had to call a couple times(it was a Friday night) to get the matter figured out. Despite the fact we had an order number, for whatever reason the order was not received at the store. Wedgewood re-placed the order, delivered it to us along with and added 2 liter of soda, completely free. Of course, we gave the driver a good tip… nobody’s fault, just an email snafu. This place by far is the best tasting pizza, especially for the price. Thick, chewy crust. Lots of cheese, generous toppings. This is the only place we will be ordering from.

I was in the mood for a different type of pizza than the typical chains we have here in Grove City. I needed one that delivered since I had surgery on my two big toes this past week and cannot drive myself or sit up for more than a minute or two due to pain. I knew there was a pizza place that was new to GC so I went looking online. I found it. So I checked out their website and was glad to see they now deliver! I looked at the menu and was very happy with the prices! a 16 inch cheese pizza is only $ 10.50. Nice! I got a 16 inch pepperoni and banana pepper pizza, 8 inch garlic bread and 2 mini cannoli’s. I wanted to sample the garlic bread(I love garlic bread!) and was interested in the cannoli’s because I had never tried one before. I’m still eating off of the 16 inch pizza from dinner yesterday(by myself as my parents are out in Nevada preparing for our new home we just signed for, buying appliances, setting up utilities, etc)… I have yet to try the garlic bread but it smells okay. The pizza is pretty good. I kinda like the spongy texture. Though I might ask for it to be crispier next time. It is very greasy. I haven’t experienced that greasy of a pizza yet in my pizza-career. :P But there was nothing gross about it. So if you are NOT a fan of greasy pizza(or food in general) look elsewhere. There is enough cheese and it covers nicely. I noticed the banana peppers were very skimpy, and the pepperoni could be more numerous. But the price was good. On the website they said it was Hormel pepperoni which i really like so that was a plus. It wasn’t a superb pizza but then again I’ve never experienced«sicilian-style pizza» before since I’ve never been to New York and have never been to Sicily. I would order it again mainly due to the lower cost compared to other pizza chains. I still prefer Papa Johns and Pizza hut pan pizza, but when you are on a budget and you really want pizza sometimes you have to do what the money tells you to do. Sorry. I haven’t yet tried the garlic bread but it didn’t smell amazing. Just kinda smelled like pizza crust with a hint of garlic. There was a small serving of pizza dipping sauce included in the box. The canolli’s were pretty good. I had never had one before but I liked it. It was an excellent dessert yesterday. I would think though that the price was a bit high for how small they were. $ 1 for a mini cannoli seems a little expensive for what they are. But I don’t know the going rate for a mini cannoli. *shrugs* I would order the cannoli’s again. So all in all I think the pizza was just okay. It was worth it for being lower cost. Their delivery time estimate was pretty accurate. I think they may have even been a little early which was fine by me. Their ordering system on their website needs fixed. I tried to order prior to calling and when I hit Check Out it sent me to an error screen with PHP code or something. I tried it 3 times in Safari on my Mac and then once in Firefox on my Mac and all times it did the same thing. So they definitely need to fix that. I prefer to order online since it’s easier and I can check and double check my order prior to submitting it. Owners, please check on that issue for us. Thanks.

What a great find!(although, I had to update the location on Unilocal: P) I was heading to the Stringtown Rd. area to do some shopping and wanted some pizza, so of course, I scoped out the Unilocal reviews. This place seemed to be a hit, so I stopped in for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant is located in what looks to be a newer strip mall not far off the highway, but what seemed to be quite a ways from the Stringtown Rd. shopping area. Parking is plentiful in an open lot. I walked in and told the woman at the counter that this was my first visit; she explained a new menu item they had(which sounded really good). She was very friendly. I asked about ordering just two slices, and she agreed it was enough for one person. To my surprise and delight – a lunch for $ 2! The pizza came out quickly, delivered to my table. A feast of cheesy, doughy goodness. I actually only finished about 1.5 slices. This feels like a pretty affordable place to bring your family/friends for pizza night. Too bad there’s not one closer to me, or else I would be a regular. :)

Can’t speak much to the location. We got delivery — 45 minutes even though the place is about a 5 minute drive. But, I figure it’s because this place does sicilian pizza. So, when you think sicilian, think super thick, doughy crust with lots of toppings. That’s what this is! I got the pepperoni and extra cheese and it was very good. Now, the downside… we got a garlic bread pizza and it was absolutely nothing to write home about. Garlic bread is my favorite, so this was a big disappointment. It was almost like eating their crust with a wee bit of garlic. Not worth it. Need CHEESE on that garlic bread, please!

I had read the pizza was great here and having some stuff to take care of in Grove City we gave it a try. Located in a tiny strip mall we would have never found it, and apart from one other table, we were the onlly ones. I can’t believe the negative reviews, we had a great time, stellar service and the pizza was great! They have a $ 5 calzone deal which was perfect since we were in a bit of a hurry. If we would have had more time I would have gotten the pizza sandwich, meaning a pizza on top of a pizza, WHAT!!! This takes 45 minutes to make but is a great deal at $ 21 with any 5 toppings you want on a 16 inch pizza, considering a regular one costs about $ 16. Next time I have got to try that. The space is large and clean, you see them making the pizza, the dough looks amazing and fresh, they have a ton of huge pizza ovens and were very friendly. We got 3 calzones and a large salad at $ 3 also very fresh and tasty, dinner for 3 for under $ 20, not bad at all! I was reading the menu while we were waiting and saw a 16 inch garlic bread pizza or cinnamon butter pizza is only $ 4.50 soo I went up to order one and they told me they already put on in the oven for us on the house! NICE! That came out right then, tasty, but truthfully not special, still a very kind gesture. The calzone was great, you could really taste they use top quality meats, good cheese. All round a great family establishment I can recommend instead of the usual chain garb Grove City has to offer.
