White Barn

This is a must visit store for me every time we go to columbus for several reasons:
1. they are or were a test scent store for bath and body works, so they would have candles that are not available at your local BBW (not sure if they are still a test scent store). Also, bc I don’t think we have white barn in pittsburgh.
2. white barn comes out with the candles before the local BBW puts theirs on the shelves.
3. store is always clean and the set up is so inviting, I never want to leave. LOL. It is luxurious (I know strange word to associate with a candle store), but out of all the candle stores I’ve been to, white barn definitely feels high end. Even the bag they give you while your shopping is not just a mesh bag like in BBW, but it’s more like a burlap/​fabric covered metal basket. I can’t describe it, but it definitely makes more sense to carry your fragile candles and items in them as they are sturdy.
4. they wrap the breakable items and are consistent about it vs. other BBW stores where some associates either forget or are in a hurry that they don’t care whether your items break. Also, the bag and the tissue wrap really adds that extra touch like you bought gold. I know you’re thinking big deal, but sometimes for me it’s the little things/​presentation/​extra effort etc. that can set apart a store from another.
5. the associates are friendly, helpful and not pushy.
White Barn also sells the other BBW candles and they accept BBW coupons, too, which is a plus bc they have other cute things at this store. I really wish they would come out to Pitt.

OK fine… there, I said it… but it’s not a problem, and I don’t need any help… I just happen to enjoy nicely scented candles…
The candles here, in my opinion, are ohhhhh sooooo much better than another big brand (that starts with a «Y»). The scent is much better and longer lasting. One candle can fill an entire floor in my town house, and even part of another if its near the stairwell. One of those other branded candles is lucky if it smells up just one room…
I know its crazy. for years I swore by the other brand, but ladies and gentlemen, I kid you not, there are better, and less expensive brands out there!!!
So, yes, I love this store!!! I love their quality, and I love their prices… they ALWAYS have some kind of sale going on… especially around holidays!!!

I *love* this White Barn Candle Company! We have one in Pittsburgh, but I try to visit this one whenever I’m in Columbus. It’s a «test store» for the company, so they always have the newest scents out very early – sometimes they even have scents you’ll never find anywhere else.
The employees are nice and the store is always beautiful. Plus the candles are great, as always!
