Disappointed with the lack of customer service and sales experience. I stopped by this pottery barn after the gym because I was in need of a house warming gift for a party this evening. I stopped in to ask if they had a particular item I had seen at an outlet. As a frequent PB shopper, I thoroughly understand the difference between outlet items vs. retail items. Unfortunately the two reps I inquired about said they had never heard of the item and were rushing to not assist me. I get it, I am young and just got out of the gym so I may not look like your typical target market… but the least they could have done was offered to find an alternative product instead of rushing me away so that they could help an older consumer that fit their typical profile. Really disappointed because I had actually purchase my PB square grand comfort sofa, bedding, accessories, and an office fili nth cabinet from this store and sadly, the guy who I asked for help! Never shopping at PB, West Elm, or William Sonoma and I’ll stick to Restoration Hardware from now.

A very nice home store with a lot of options for the home, including furniture, bedding, mirrors, and more. There’s a great little lamp«room» in the back of the store, where you can check out a variety of lighting options — some are very funky! It’s a gorgeous place to walk through, with a lot of colors and textures to admire. A number of displays throughout the store let you«step into» different looks for various rooms. Great place to visit if you’re looking for some home inspiration and to find that perfect piece for your home. While I was on the hunt for mirrors that didn’t pan out on my most recent visit, I would certainly keep Pottery Barn in mind for future home needs.

When the opportunity to poke around a beautiful home décor store arose in the form of tagging along with my sister and brother-in-law to pick up an order, I was happy to oblige. Though this particular store is by no means large, the various displays are beautiful and inspirational without being unattainable. And if you were wondering yes, many of these items are pricy, but they seemed to be of good, timeless quality. Now the reason for the four stars comes from our experience with one particular staff member whom I believe to have been a manager by the way she conducted herself. When it became clear the wrong shelf had been ordered by the designer my sister and her husband had worked with, she expressed their sincere apologies and quickly went about correcting the issue. Now if only I had my own discretionary income and house to decorate…

We fell in love with their Chesterfield couch/loveseat online and went in to view fabric samples. We worked with John the manager for quotes and told him we would probably wait for a sample which he was fine with. A month later that sale came along. We went back in and John wasn’t there so we worked with Lauren. She quoted us the sale price as well as a discount for having just moved. She told us when the sale was over and if we were going to invest that money and wanted to sit on it, they had one in the oversized Indianapolis store. Obviously driving there is a bit of an inconvenience but we’re always up for a road trip so we made a day of it. We sat on and inspected the pieces and loved them. The manager there was nice but kept trying to get us to buy there and we told her we already put in time with people locally. She said to have our designer call their designer so monies could be split or something to go into their local economy. Erm, no. I’ll be putting that into our OWN local economy. We came back the next day and both Lauren and John were there and we told them we went to Indy and came back. When we told them the story, they were SO grateful we came back there. They don’t work on commission but the money works in their stores favor and I’m sorry but a store the size of Indy’s doesn’t need any help when they didn’t do any of the work. They went over all of the policies and since we especially see John often, he said he’d definitely have our backs should there be any issues. I believe that too because we’ve dealt with them on issues before and they are more than willing to help. Don’t get me wrong, there are a few employees that could take some lessons but they rarely last. John and Lauren are the people you want to deal with and the reason we’ll keep coming back!

If I could rate them 0, I would. We called ahead to inquire if there was a certain item of furniture in the store. The woman on the phone was friendly — almost too friendly… She went to check and answered that they didn’t have it in the store, but that they could have one brought in for us to look at by the end of the week. It sounded too good to be true, but we said ok and made an appointment. They called us the next day to say it was in and we said we would be in the following day — like we had arranged. When we arrived at the store, we spent some time looking around and then went to inquire about the piece. The store employees didn’t exhibit the same amount of friendliness. When we asked about it, the employee told us that it was still in the box and that they wouldn’t be able to take it out. They continued to say — what did we expect, it’s the holidays! Major attitude and yes, we did expect to see the actual item of furniture. Why else would I come into the store? I can see it better online. They didn’t even take the item out of storage, we had to go back into the warehouse where the employee actually made a ‘joke’ about keeping our arms in because they don’t have insurance to cover customers back there. So why are you taking us back there? They opened a box and we saw 5 inches of the top of the table — no legs, not even the whole top. A complete waste of time and a total attitude from employees. They’re the ones that suggested the appointment and that we come in and see it and then we get there and there’s not only nothing to see, but they acted as though we inconvenienced them by showing up. I’d never shop there again. Went into the store, planning on spending over $ 3000 — left with nothing and won’t be back.

Stopped in for a quick gift. It was my first time at Potter Barn. The staff were very helpful. I was able to pick up a pretty nice candle and holder. Those who are not aware — Pottery Barn is one of those establishments where you can buy unique household items and furniture. They are less expensive than Restoration Hardware(few stores down). It is a very interesting place if you are looking. I was able to get my gift and head back to the World of Beers. Happy Shopping!
