Bed Bath and Beyond

It’s your standard Bed Bath and Beyond — clean and moderately well-​organized inside, although checking out is always very slow (for reasons that I cannot fathom).

The 20% off my entire order coupon I received in my change of address package got me in the door of this BBB location. From the moment I tried to extract a shopping cart from their few carts offered and walked in the cluttered entrance I kinda knew this would not be easy to track down the items I was shopping for.
Yes there are some great deals to be found here on bedding, towels and other household items but they really need twice the size of the building to display it all. Trying to navigate a cart around this store is a exercise in frustration trying to avoid other customers or being able to see/​get things from extremely low tight areas or high overhead in the tight crowded aisles.
After an hour of hunting I finally tracked down the items I was looking for and I began waiting down the aisle with others in the single check-​out lane for about 10 minutes until they called up more cashiers from the maze. Will more than likely be my last time shopping here since this trip was more like Bed, Bath and WTF?

When you walk in, turn immediately right and check out their bathrooms. BLECH! Outdated and not clean. How do you expect us to shop in a store with BATH in the name, when there is not a single item you sell anywhere in your store on display here. Nothing is even touch or motion sensored. Please touch our filth. On our first visit, the paper towel dispenser fell off the wall, and hit my wife in the head, while pulling down the lever. It’s still there. «Sorry about that. Are you alright? Please accept this coupon as our way of saying sorry». We only returned because for a wedding registry gift. From now on, we will just mail an old fashioned paper check. I think everyone who shops there thinks their coupon is the difference in a great deal. Only if they bought it in the clearance area. $$

Bed Bath and Beyond (echo echo echo) is chalk full of items you may or may not need. For example, I recently purchased a ten foot long phone charging cable (on sale). Is it exsessive? Yep. But it is has been a game changer, people.
Good for wedding registries, decorating, general gift buying, and organizing (or cluttering) your home, browsing the various sections is strangly cathartic. However, finding particular items in this location can take a bit of time depending on who you find to ask for help you.
Unfortunately, their marked up prices ensure I do not shop without coupons (as of now, they accept their own «expired» coupons) you may still find me in the «as seen on TV» aisle wondering who buys these gizmos.

Wow — great experience here. I came in looking for a new bedroom set. They had a ton of stuff to choose from and something for every taste.
I finally found the perfect set — but alas, none in a queen. I found this fellow, Jeremy, to see if they had some in the back maybe. He didnt… but he ordered a set to be delivered to my home and applied a 20% discount to make up for it not being there that day. It came in the mail within three days!
They had some awesome sales going on with curtains and bathroom items — I was so pleased I returned a few days later to purchase two new bathroom sets… they were on sale. I have really racked up lately…

This is another one of those places that I go to every year or two when I think «hey, BBB would have [insert random household item here.]» And every time I’m disappointed. They either don’t have it, or they have it at an outrageous price.
This time I was looking for a humidifier and an under-​counter stereo. They have humidifiers, but despite a large selection they did not have a simple, cheap one. Superexpensive overcomplicated ones? Plenty of those. Cheaper but crappy? Yep. No basic, reasonably priced ones.
On to stereos. Small selection, nothing relevant. I guess I figured a home place would have something useful like that.
No one came by to help as I wandered the store. I tried to flag someone down but he was busy.
They have a wide selection of kitchen and bedding stuff; memory from past trips tells me they are overpriced. And those coupons seem cool, till you realize they just offset the markup.

The gift wrapping (its to the right when you walk in). Returns seem to take forever but the people who work there are friendly and helpful. I go here a couple times a month with no regrets.
Always use a coupon! If you don’t have one sign up on-​line and they will email you one. You can also use Buy Buy Baby coupons. Expire coupons work as well.

I stopped in prepped to buy a Breville juicer. I had done my research and decided to save a couple bucks and go to Bed Bath & Beyond instead of just ordering it from Amazon. Bad decision.
I headed back to the small kitchen appliances, looked around for a bit and finally spied the juicer of my dreams. As I was holding it, making sure it was the model I was looking for, I was interrupted by an employee. Was he there to assist me? He most certainly was not. He was there to tell me that he’d just gotten off the phone with someone who was looking for this exact same juicer and that I could not purchase it because he had to put it on hold for her to purchase tomorrow. WHAT? He was kind enough to tell me that I could drive to the Polaris store to buy my lovely juicer, since this was the last one at the Easton store and I clearly wasn’t as qualified as the woman on the phone to own it.
I asked to speak to a manager because I wanted to know why someone on the phone that hadn’t paid for a product would be accommodated over someone in the store HOLDING THE PRODUCT. To my delight, this gentleman was the manager.
Enough said.
I walked out sans juicer, pulling up Amazon before I had even gotten to my car.

Staff was everywhere and they were helpful. The store was neat and just as overwhelming with cute stuff as any other BB&B location. I visited this store with a friend who was looking for a gift. It was a nice visit.

Okay, so I know Bed Bath and Beyond is a chain, and they’re all relatively the same, but this one gets 5 stars because of selection alone. This place is the Mecca of Bed Bath and Beyond as far as I know… well I only frequent this one and the Lane Avenue one so I can’t really say Mecca… yet.
Either way, the selection of items is much better at this Bed Bath and Beyond, and I usually stop in here when I go to Easton since it’s right across the road (and also conveiently located near Steak and Shake for a Cookies and Cream milkshake!) Also, since it’s further away from campus, there’s not a ton of college students clogging up the aisles come move in day. Once again, another plus to being further away from campus.
TIP: SAVE THOSE 20% OFF COUPONS! Although there is an expiration date on it, the coupons never expire. NEVER EXPIRE. I have coupons from 2008! Your mom would be proud!
