I called Doug to do one of the toughest jobs I’ve seen for hardwood floor restoration. I had a 1950’s Cape Cod in Clintonville with original hardwood floors that had carpet over them that was so old that the pad had adhered to all the hardwood to include the stairs! Doug’s bid was the lowest of the three I received for the job and I’m certain he spend far more time on it than anticipated but he never asked for more money. And he actually refinished one whole floor at no extra cost because of some bubbling in the finish. Doug completed the job on a schedule and worked until the job was done correctly and left the home clean and the floors in perfect condition! I rented the home in less than a week in large part because of the superb job on the floors because all the prospective tenants all commented on how beautiful the floors were!
I highly recommend Wilson Flooring because I know they will do the job right and put customer satisfaction first!

I appreciate Doug’s offer below to make things right. Seems like the offer is a little less than genuine when it only comes after a public review and not when it’s just the two of us discussing how to fix the problem.
There was no misunderstanding about what finish to use. We were very clear that we wanted the floors to match the newly installed pre-​finished floor, something Doug assured us he could do. It’s clear that, in an effort to get done quickly, they didn’t start with the area near the floors that needed to match, which would have brought the mismatch to their attention immediately. Because there was an unrelated 4oz can of wood stain sitting on our mantle, does not excuse mismatching the floor in the first place. If there was any confusion, wouldn’t a quick phone call to clarify have been smarter than just finishing 5 rooms and hoping for the best?
It became clear towards the end that he was just done with us and didn’t want to lose any more time on us. And honestly, I can even understand that feeling. I just don’t understand acting on it the way that he did.
