I really want to like this place. I do like the fact that they make everything in-house. The flavor of their yogurt is great, but I’m not sure it’s better than the other chains in town. The disappointment is in their lack of toppings. Every other place in town has overflowing buckets of fruit, bursting bobas, and other sweets. While they do have a few toppings for selection, the few times I’ve been to Yaourt lack in visual appeal. By that, I mean that no one wants to pick the last strawberry in the bucket on their froyo. No one wants the lone pineapple slice.

Super expensive and the employee I interacted with was very rude and impatient. My daughter and I enjoyed our frozen yogurt but the experience with the employee will probably keep me from returning.

Determined to try every froyo shop in Columbus, Yaourt was next on the list. To my surprise, it blew me away! As soon as I walked in, the owner greeted me with a warm welcome and introduced me to her shop. She claimed that Yaourt is a small mom & pop shop that is determined to change up the froyo industry by offering homemade froyo made from fresh ingredients — in fact, many of the ingredients that are used to produce the froyo are purchased next door at the Whole Foods. After trying Mango and original tart flavors, I was hooked! The froyo tasted so fresh and not overly sweet/artificial like other competitors. I was blown away by how much wholesome natural ingredients can make on the taste. It was absolutely, positively the tastiest froyo my pallet has laid its taste buds on! It’s also so freshing to have a down to earth conversation with an owner that truly cares about her customers. On top of it all, the froyo was 0.53 cents/oz, which is very reasonable considering the quality of both the froyo and service that is offered at Yaourt! Stop into Yaourt for a fresh, homemade, and downright delicious bowl of froyo!

The best frozen yogurt I’ve had anywhere. I live in Clintonville and have started making the drive out here because it’s that good. I’ll be back!

wow-o-wow! i love the pinkberry, red mangos, starfruit cafes of the world that sell real froyo or frozen kefir in lieu of the places that have a million flavors shipped from china. however after moving from chicago to Virginia I was deprived of this unless i was passing through and airport. but now insert Yaourt into my life and I am happy again. they don’t have a million flavors because they make them all in house… WHAT?!? Matcha froyo, red bean froyo… so good, with fresh toppings to match. This is so good and I drive out of my way or go to the whole foods just to have an excuse to stop by. quality product, good price for it, friendly staff. Love it!

Believe the good reviews! The salted caramel was unbelievably good. Very friendly guy behind the counter made our first visit a delight, and made for a wonderful treat on this ugh hot Columbus day.

You guys, seriously. I think I have had some kind of frozen yogurt religious experience here. So it’s not news that the whole serve-yourself fro-yo trend came and went super fast. They were everywhere, and now they’re all vanishing with amazing speed. This one is different. Yaourt is not a chain, like Orange Leaf or any of the others. It’s an independent, where the yogurt doesn’t come in a bag or in a mix, but it’s homemade every day using fresh ingredients, some of which are obtained from the Whole Foods next door. It tastes amaaaaazing. It’s rich, and flavorful, not too sweet, and super fresh. I love it so much. After having Bryant sing its praises for months, I finally tried it about a month ago and I’ve gone back about once a week. I highly recommend the original tart(always my favorite), the Dole pineapple whip, the espresso and the salted caramel flavors. The employees are always super friendly and eager to help(there isn’t unlimited sampling here, so the staff needs to give you a sample cup, which they’re glad to do). I love coming here. I think next time I’ll get a big carton to go and fill my freezer to the brim.

Best yogurt in town!!! I’m so happy I found it! Flavored never too strong. Ingredients from Whole Foods and they make everything in house.

I’m a HUGE froyo fan. The trend started when I was living in Houston(with places like Red Mango, Menchies, etc.), then caught on in South Florida when I moved there, and has followed me here to Columbus. And I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Yaourt is the best I’ve ever had! I didn’t expect that from the outside, it’s just a one-off place in a strip mall and we only stopped by because we were next door at Old Navy. But I have to tell you, this stuff is amazing. They use ingredients from Whole Foods next door and make their yogurt fresh. You can definitely taste the difference. Their flavors really truly taste like what they’re supposed to taste like, and they have some unique options! I LOVE the almond and I’ve never seen that flavor anywhere else. They have great toppings as well, and their employees are really nice and personable. You can register your phone number and get $ 5 after you spend a certain amount. We’re already well on our way to the next $ 5 discount! My favorite combo is salted caramel, espresso, and almond with cookie pieces on top. I could literally eat this every day. If it were a bit closer to Upper Arlington, I probably would!

So everyone has a gift in life. Mine happens to be eating frozen yogurt. I say this not to inspire envy– some of us are just blessed– but to lend credibility to my review. I have tried every single frozen yogurt place in Columbus. I have tried many frozen yogurt places NOT in Columbus. I was pretty prepared to find this place and this yogurt acceptable, maybe even exceptional, but I didn’t think I would be blown away by it. AND I TOTALLYWAS. Friends, this shop is clean, friendly, fresh, open, and has a delicious variety of flavors. The name Yaourt is french for yogurt so you know they are a classy, cosmopolitan joint. I sampled the espresso– it tasted exactly like affogato. I also tried the pineapple which temporarily rendered me speechless because of how much it tasted like fresh delicious frozen pineapple. In the end, I went with the Original Tart because 1) it’s my favorite flavor and 2) it’s the best way to evaluate what a yogurt shop is REALLY about, I think. This was perfect– smooth, creamy, fresh, lightly sweet, that wonderful fruity sourness that comes with a real yogurt– it was just perfect. It has even displaced my beloved Pinkberry as the best yogurt i’ve ever had.(Forgive me, Pinkberry.) I don’t use toppings but I appreciated the variety available. I am already planning on when I can go back to introduce my husband to this magical place. I wish it was closer to me but that could be a danger, I guess. Oh, and I actually find the pricing not unreasonable. I got a cup of Original and it was 3.16 or something like that for a totally respectable amount of yogurt. THANKYOU, YAOURT!

BEST fro-yo I have had. Ever. Period. There are a few things I look for in a fro-yo place… 1. How many flavors 2. Flavor quality 3. Topping selection 1 — They’ve got at least 15 flavors to choose from, including the swirly ones. I was pleased and overwhelmed with tasty choices, which I think, is a good thing. 2 — The fro-yo here is delicious. Seriously, unlike any other I have tried. I was told by the staff that it is made in house and that they use a lot of ingredients from Whole Foods next door. It’s small batch, and actually tastes like whatever flavor it’s supposed to be — and yogurt-y! It’s got a great yogurt tang that you don’t get with some of the sugary fro-yo places around. 3 — Topping selection here is limited. However, I wasn’t mad about it. The fro-yo is so good, that I wouldn’t have wanted to add a bunch of stuff to it anyway. I’d recommend the pineapple for fruity fro-yo lovers or espresso+salted caramel swirl for those looking for a sweeter fix. NOTE! They don’t really say how many calories or if things are LF or FF. So this isn’t the place to go if you’re looking for a treat without the guilt.

I have really enjoyed my visits to Yaourt! The selection isn’t as large as many other frozen yogurt spots, but I’ve never had trouble finding something good. My favorite is the mango mixed with tart and covered with dry, shredded coconut. They also have a frequent buyers program, so make sure to sign up with your phone number! For 2 decently filled bowls we usually spend around $ 10.

Don’t get me wrong, I love all froyo, but I also understand that it is NOT all created equal. Yaourt sets itself apart by using a bit higher-quality ingredients, and making all of their yogurt in-house. It most definitely shows through in the flavor. The strawberry tastes like strawberry! The chocolate tastes like real chocolate. It shouldn’t be so surprising, but in the land of chain frozen yogurt joints, it is. If you’re in the area and have a sweet tooth, stop into Yaourt. Hopefully it sticks around!

I’m usually a five star reviewer, and I guess I’m giving this a four because I found it more whelming that overwhelmingly awesome. I was totally jazzed to hear that they make their own frozen yogurt on site, and it’s totally inspirational that Kim, the owner, left a lucrative career in chemical engineering to pursue frozen yogurt, but IMO the yogurt tastes like every other yogurt self serve in the city… and I live a two minute walk from Groovy Spoon versus a 15 minute drive to Dublin. I did like the flavors I’ve tried(salty caramel, cookies’n’cream, coconut, tart, mango) and I REALLY liked that they had shaved coconut as a topping option, but they don’t serve other food, they don’t do drinks, so this is pretty much what you see is what you get. On the other hand, no nasty surprises that you’re getting anything other than the real deal of fresh, homemade, frozen yogurt!

Original Tart has never tasted so good!!! Mmmmm! I had about ¾ original tart and ¼ mango. Toppings — mango, kiwi, strawberry and coconut chunks. Heaven… it was so good! I really liked how the chic there educated us on the quality of ingredients they use for their yogurt. She was so super nice. I cannot wait for the next visit.

Two words: Real yogurt. Look, we live in a Jeni’s-dominated city, so when I want frozen dessert, I do not want some crap that was dumped out of a pouch and into a machine. Yaourt uses real, actual yogurt and real recipes and it tastes awesome. Yaourt is what frozen yogurt is supposed to be. I have to confess that I haven’t tried many flavors, because if I want ice cream flavors like chocolate and cookies ‘n’ crème, I’ll go get ice cream and not froyo. My standby is always original tart flavor and fresh fruit toppings. Lately, I’ve been adding mango on Bryant M.‘s recommendation. Their mango flavor is so, so good. I also did try the pineapple sorbet. It was kind of icy and not the best(it used real pineapple and everything, but the texture wasn’t great)… I don’t know if it’s the machine or the recipe, not sure if those machines are meant to serve sorbet. I find the interior of the shop inviting. It reminds me of something like a modern Starbucks or a ZenCha with its wood and clean lines. Service is also great, though I really wish there wasn’t a need(and I understand why they do this) for them to come out from behind the counter and get samples for you. I just hate being hovered over. I never sample anything and I feel a tiny bit un-trusted. In my dream world, Yaourt would play off of the amazingness of yogurt in every flavor and offer more fresh toppings instead of part fruit, part candy. I know, they have to cater to people who, unlike me, want crumbled Butterfingers on their froyo. I would love to see them get creative with flavors that compliment, rather than hide, the yogurt(like the mango). Even if they never change a thing, though, I’ll be heading over there anytime I get a hankerin’ for froyo, because they really are the best.

Yaourt is the holy grail of froyo in Columbus! So here’s the deal… I know my frozen confections. I may have visited Jeni’s a time or two. And maybe I’ve been to a handful(read: all of them) of froyo places around town. I know what I like, and I know what I don’t. I don’t like Yaourt. I love it. In case you missed the memo, almost every froyo place dumps a bag of goo into a machine and calls it frozen yogurt. Don’t get me wrong… this strange concoction can taste delicious, but it’s far, far from«natural.» In my younger days, I was a yogurt whore — throwing caution to the wind and sampling every yogurt around… no matter what the ingredients list looked like. But fast forward to Bryant in his 30s, and my body has turned against me. I’m slowly figuring out all these food intolerances and allergies. One of them is xanthan gum, which is… wait for it… in almost every freaking ice cream and yogurt on planet Earth. I had heard on this secret underground network(aka ) that an organic, real-deal frozen yogurt place existed up in Dublin, so, of course, I went ASAP. When my friends and I walked in, we were warmly greeted by the owner, Kim, and she told us all about her froyo that was made with real food and not a bag of goo. I was *this close* to deliciousness, but I had to ask the question… is there xanthan gum in there? Sadly, she said it did. I sat at the table and sulked while my friends inhaled their treats, and I kept insisting that I was just fine watching them eat. Bitches. A few days ago, the owner, Kim, sent me an email telling me that the yogurt was really made with guar gum and not xanthan gum! Oh happy day! I literally grabbed Susie R and we drove off in a windstorm 20 miles to Yaourt. I didn’t see Kim on this visit, but the lady working was equally as wonderful. She offered me samples, and this yogurt is dee-licious. I ended up with the original tart — my go-to — and I added some fresh fruit on top. I was in heaven! I could taste the quality ingredients, and I didn’t have to worry about getting sick! So listen, y’all… I need you to quit eating the bag-o-goo yogurt and go support Kim at Yaourt. She is so wonderful, and she puts her heart into her business. More importantly, she makes damn fine frozen yogurt. Kim, I think you should be the Jeni of froyo. Btw, froyo is the most annoying word ever, and I tried very hard to write it in almost every sentence. You’re welcome.

I bookmarked this froyo shop after reading Rob H.‘s glowing review of the place, and stopped by this afternoon between thrift stores. It’s a small shop just north of the Whole Foods. I think I was the first customer of the day, arriving just after noon. I tried several of the flavours, including almond, cookies ‘n’ cream, salty caramel, mango, and plain tart. I wasn’t impressed by the cookies ‘n’ cream, but really liked the salty caramel and the mango — the taste of the latter was so spot-on that I almost thought I’d be finding mango fibers in the yogurt. The yogurt flavours tend towards the sweet, not tart, range of the spectrum. The topping bar was a little sparse when I was there — not too many fresh fruit options — which was fine since I usually prefer to taste the yogurt, at least on a first visit. At 53c/ounce, it’s a bit pricier than other froyo options in Columbus. My cup ran about $ 5. If you’re making a trip to Whole Foods, this is definitely worth trying. However, since I’m a fan of more tart flavours, I probably won’t be making a special trip out to the suburbs just to get this yogurt.
