Great neighborhood bar. Always good for watching a game, grabbing a bite, or just stopping in for a drink on the way home.

Great neighborhood bar. Thye have free popcorn and reasonably priced drinks. They also have a pac man arcade game, which is often over looked. I live in the area, so I often find myself here on a low key evening for a few beers, and I’m never disappointed. Don’t over look the food either, the wings and BELT are some of my favorites.

Worst bartenders ever. Comfest weekend. Severely understaffed in light of highly expected rain. Bad. Bad. Bad. Even their keno machine didn’t work because of the«weather»! Horrible place. Glad I got here so I never come back. Pizza was bad Too. Actually only a half star.

Zeno’s is a great neighborhood bar right in the middle of Harrison West/Victorian Village and across from Katalina’s. It’s definitely a dive, but if you’re from the area, you’ll definitely run into people you know, and if not, you’ll still have a fun time. This isn’t usually a stay all night kind of bar. I’m either here to start off the night, or I’m here to end the night, and occasionally, I’ll stop in during the week to watch some games, since they have a bunch of TVs. The food here is your pretty average bar food, and I’ve only had it a handful of times, but it’s pretty great when you’ve been drinking. I was here last night, and the pizza looked pretty tasty. They actually have an event space downstairs that you can rent out, and I’ve actually been down for a birthday, and we had a great time. There’s a separate bar down there as well as more TVs, but be wary of the bathrooms if you’re super tall, because you’ll definitely need to crouch down in the downstairs ones! Honestly, this bar serves it’s purpose of bringing people in the neighborhood together and serving decent draft beers for cheap(they have about 20 on tap). It can be pretty busy on the weekends toward the 11 – 1 pm range, since it’s not very big, and the bar, while lengthy, is pretty narrow. The bartenders are pretty cool and don’t put up with much shit, and the place itself has been here forever, so they’re obviously doing something right. I’d recommend coming at night though, because it can be pretty boring during the day if there’s not a big game on.

I love this place! It’s the second time I have been and haven’t been disappointed. It has a dive bar feel but in a larger scale. Lengthy bar, very reasonable prices and the wait staff is pretty friendly. I haven’t spent enough time here yet to write an in depth review but it is in the near future!

I’ve always had a soft spot for Zeno’s. I recently returned after over two years away and was not disappointed. On my most recent trip, I had what I think I can safely call my favorite Bloody Mary in town. There are many out there that please me, but this one was the best — nice and spicy with all the accoutrement and a little Guinness on top. Perfect. I love that there’s Keno, I love that there’s pool, and I’m a fan of the big long bar. It’s consistently one of my favorite stops when I’m on this side of town.

I don’t know what the bad rep is about?! Zeno’s had a fun, clean atmosphere with a fine beer section as well as a bar-friendly menu. Between the tots, rueben, Double IPA and solo yet attentive bartender: a solid 4 out of 5! I’ll soon join the others in becoming a regular.

Since moving in down the street from Zeno’s I have frequented the place many-a-time. Never had a bad experience. Beer selection is not huge by Today’s standards, but they have a dozen or so on tap, and always Great Lakes’ Seasonal. Trivia night on Thursdays is always fun and you don’t have to get there an hour before to get a table like the Grandview Café. Food is decent but not amazing. Nice atmosphere and friendly bar tenders.

Eh — not too well kept. Poor service. Selection was not the greatest. Layout is not great. Crowd I would say was more of a lower-middle class 21 – 30 blue collar slightly rough. Did have a decent DJ and people seemed to enjoy dancing there.

I’m trying to think of some good things about my experience here at Zeno’s, apart from the laughs I had with the people whom accompanied me here. I can’t think of any. The beer selection was pretty bad, the only dark beer they had to offer was Guiness. The rest were crappy, light American beers. On top of this all, the bartender was surprisingly uneducated about her draft selection. This made for a bit of a disappointment. The uneducated bartender was also a bit snooty, and seeing as how she was the only one working, that’s as good as the service got. I ordered some tater tots, since everything else sounded blah, and while they were a bit overpriced for being just froEn tater tots probably bought at Kroger, I are them all the same. Really the only reason I’m giving this place two stars is because they had a dark beer on draft and a pool table. Though I didn’t play it, at least they have one. Lol

YOLOSWAGMOFOWEBEROCKIN’ THISJOINT! YEEEEEAAAAHHHH! There is one reason, and only one reason I come here: it was someone else’s choice. Never, ever, ever, have I stopped and said«you know where I want to go hang out? ZENO’S!» I always blame one(or several) of my friends, a few of whom live in the area/walking distance of Zeno’s. The guys? As Luke said, Chauch. Choche? Whatever. You know exactly what I mean. Have a lady friend? Hope she doesn’t mind every other random dude rubbing up on her. Let her go to the bar by herself? Hope you don’t mind the three dudes swarming on her, and asking if she wants to leave to go back to their place. Yes, that happened. This bar is what I imagine people go to when they think they shouldn’t drink on campus anymore, because, like, kids drink on campus, and they’re totally adults now. Of the too many times I’ve been here, I have had the food — not bad bar food — and a few mixed drinks. The bar staff knows their shit, they seem to have good brews. Now if only they could change up their clientele.

Zeno’s oh Zeno’s, the girl I adore… Are you a sports bar?, well yes. Are you a karaōke bar?, well yes(on Wednesdays). Are you a great local neighborhood tavern?, well yes. Are you a dive bar?, no, no, no, no. I really don’t see how people can call Zeno’s a dive bar. The place is clean, filled with a mix of(mostly) normal people. A nice eclectic mix. They have a pool table, an electronic dart board, video games, and or course the obligatory Keno machines and screens. There’s also a DJ on some nights, and of course you can always dance there somewhere, if you want. To me, it’s mostly a sports bar, where the game you want to watch is always on one of the many high-def TVs. I’m guessing the owner is a Blue Jackets fan because there seems to be one TV dedicated to the CBJ games, in hockey season. But either way, it’s a great place to enjoy any game while drinking your favorite adult beverage. The bartenders are cute, friendly and the service is always excellent. The bar has a nice selection of draft and bottled beers, or they will just as easily serve you a shot or mixed drink of your choice. I have never had to wait with an empty glass hoping to catch the next waitress. They are very attentive, and service is always with a smile. There always seems to be something fun going on at Zeno’s and there certainly are some interesting people that you will meet here. The bar seems to draw a varied mix of locals and older college students. Wednesday is karaōke night and the place gets pretty packed after 10:00pm, at least when school is in session. There’s a DJ on Friday and Saturday nights to keep things moving. So come to Zeno’s to enjoy some beers and watch your favorite team on TV, and you’ll never know when some unexpected fun will happen.(Summer Shandy Girl, you know who you are…)

Fortunatly we were too early to notice the drunken dive bar scene or the DJ, mondays at 5pm seems a safe time to go. It was clean and fairly empty except for a few drunks at the bar, totally acceptable or else it would have been too strange. Service was awesome, we came for the Big Dick Allen Challenge since I always love seeing my man test his limits and free food is always great. We were told the owner makes and serves it himself so they had to call him in. Great guy and the burger looked yummy as well as the fries! Now its a 6 pound burger with beef, turkey, bologne and ham along with a pound of chili cheese steak fries, it actually looked quite appealing, unlike the dagwood challenge at the Ohio Deli, which he also made but tasted like crap. Not as great as the Thurmanator or as easy to finish but I’m proud to say my husband was the second EVER to finish the platter since they started the Challenge in 1984! Meaning, the meal is free, along with a picture on the wall of fame and a shirt. Well since only one other person has made it, they didn’t actually have wall of fame or shirts made, so this will be sent to us but it was a fun evening. I had a regular burger which was spiced really well and a salad, also pretty good for a dive bar which fresh croutons and housemade balsamic. The bar is pretty 80’s as well as the prices, you can still get a burger for $ 3, soda for $ 1, pretty much everything is under $ 5. Not bad at all, still don’t think well be back, once is enough, he won and we move on to the next one…

This is a dive bar. I am not opposed to dive bars, but you need to know what you are getting into before you set out. Albeit, it is a brightly lit dive bar that tries to dress up a bit and blares an occasional ‘hip’ new song for the local yocals from off the juke box(digital, of course). The set of regulars here ranges from mid-40s and up, and as they *daily* pay the salaries of the staff– they get first dibs on service and bar stools. The crowd doesn’t get younger until after 9:30 or 10. Happy Hour –on Domestics and well drinks –ends at 7, I believe. There is a pool table and electronic dart board up front, a Keno machine that you must do yourself, and a 4 person Pac Man arcade game in the back next to the Johns. The servers are friendly and they know how to make you your fav drink. That being said, I would rate it a 2.5 stars. If you walk in knowing it is a dive bar– 3 stars. If you walked in expecting more– 2 stars.

I can’t help it – I really enjoy letting loose here. While I do spend most of my nights drinking good beer and wine in the Short North/Arena district, I do really, really enjoy some late night Zenos. Sure, its full of skeeve. In fact, it is the embodiment of skeeve at most times(a quick google search let me know«skeeve» is not recognized by Webster. I’m going to call his people and send him here so he knows to put it in the next edition and how to define it) — but I rant… Yes, it is skeevy and I’ve been hit on by more men that make me wish I had pepper spray or men that need taxis called immediately because they may have drunkly peed themselves. However, sometimes you just want that middle-of-nowhere, who-the-heck-cares feel! Plus, once you’ve had enough cheap pitchers and played more rounds of quarters than you should, you can dance judge-free. Which I do. Look for me. ANDWHYHASNOONEMENTIONEDTHATTHEREIS4WAYPACMANHERE!!! It is seriously how I get people to drive to Columbus to visit!

Zeno’s is a two star bar, but gets an extra star for standing their ground as a smokers’ bar and paying dearly for it from the state which slapped them with a fine of a whopping $ 20,000+, while doing nothing about the extremely high concentration of neighborhood nuisances on the east, west, south, and northeast sides of the city which encourage much worse behavior than smoking inside of a privately owned bar. It’s definitely a lively place that is rather packed and at least is a half step up from crowds you’d encounter at any number of lowest common denominator bars near OSU or Park St. Not much of a compliment for sure, but I was thoroughly amused by a couple of fat guys in Christmas sweaters getting into a bout of fisticuffs out front one winter.

Pfft, whatever haters! Bieber Fever up in here!!! Okay, yeah, it isn’t all that, but when you’ve been drinking for 9 hours, it’s as good as anywhere, I’d say. About all I remember from my visit is Chauch City and No Room to Move. SWAG.

Saving grace: They had Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale on tap. So why my disdain? Listen, I enjoy having a good time just like everyone else but when«the DJ dropped my favorite tune and the Brittney song was on» the bar dropped the ball. The crowd was made up of late-20 early-30-somethings gettin’ rowdy after a long work week. And get rowdy they did — on the dance floor/stage and in my friend’s face for no reason. Grow up, dudes. I originally thought this place was a dive bar that’s seen better days, but I don’t think a brightly lit bar with neon lights and busty bartenders hardly qualifies as a dive. Let alone the blaring Justin Bieber. Maybe it’s a different scene on a weeknight, but meh. I think I’ll move along.
