Great place. Great prices. However, the young kids working here can be quite obnoxious. They also sometimes throw food into the bags without care.

Meat Farms has quality food for a great price. My only issue is their cashiers pay no attention to the costumers and just chat all day like we don’t exist. Other than that, I’ve always noticed that their prices are the best.

They have a good selection of high quality meats and produce. If you’re looking for an unusual vegetable or fruit, Meat Farms probably has it.

Excellent produce and good meats. Quality deli and cheeses. Their prices are very good and it is generally easy to shop there(close in parking, fast checkout). Avoid busy times though

Meat Farms is okay but you have to know what to buy. I go there for the cold cuts(well priced and a nice selection), bagels/bread, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh pasta(especially raviolis) some fruits and canned tomatoes. The things I avoid are the seafood(all farm raised), the meat(not always fresh and a little expensive) and most of the fruit. Although they do have a nice selection of fruit, a lot of it is not always fresh. The people who work on the floor don’t speak a lot of English so it is difficult to ask them questions. Another thing that bothered me about this store is the chopped liver. It is always spoiled. I’ve had to bring it back at least four times. The manager of the store is great. He seems to work there every day… all day. Any time I have a question or problem, I go to him and always get a courteous and well-informed response. The store is a little dirty and the guys in the deli section are not that friendly, but besides that I like the store.

Meat Farms consistently has great deals on produce the only catch it that you need to be very careful and look throughly at what you’re buying. Today I came in and saw that grapes were on sale for 99 cents a pounds. I grabbed two bags and when I got home I noticed every grape in both bags were rotten. On the other hand, there have been times when I hit the jackpot with fruits and veggies here. Very hit or miss. The meat department has great prices on cold cuts so I tend to buy them here. The chicken breasts used to be $ 1.99 a pound and they just raised their prices to $ 2.49 a pound. Still cheaper than most places and if you can bring the meat to the butcher counter and they will slice all the fat off for you. Regular groceries tend to be a little bit more pricey than you’re average Waldbaums or Stop and Shop prices so I tend to come here strictly for produce and meats.

I won’t ever buy meat here… it looks plain old nasty… and more expensive than I’d like. HOWEVER, it’s one of the only places in the area to get cheap fruit and veggies. This is the only reason I go there. Everything else in the store are just brand name goods at expensive prices. If I want canned or prepackaged things, I head to Target or Walmart because they sell the same things for half the price. The manager however is a real a$$. I’ve brought things back a few times because they’ve been open, and they refuse to return the money. You’re just stuck getting a «credit» or exchange, when all I want to do is take my money and not go back. But until I find a place where I can get cheaper veggies, I guess I’ll have to keep going here.

This Giunta’s location is in COMMACK, not Kings park(due to Unilocal’s endless ability to improperly track locations on LI, you can’t check in here). I urge you not to go to 134 Old Commack in KP or you’ll be trying to score produce at someone’s residence; Unilocal may have a lawsuit on its hands, too. For some reason I was always under the impression that GMFs were far less trashy than this one was. Shame that even the occasional bargain wouldn’t bring me back here.
