This has been the place I have been getting Chinese food for over 8 years. In elementary school when I was student of the month, I wrote on a poster that I had to fill out and said my favorite food was always«chicken and broccoli hot and spicy with garlic sauce.» My family orders take out Chinese food from Foo Luck about every 2 weeks for over 8 years– thats a lot of foo luck. The negative is that the wait is long, and they tend to not give accurate wait times. but even though we have to wait an hour for our food, we still go there because it is the best. The prices are also really good compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. The place itself is very small and considering how much business foo luck gets, they should really expand. When ever I order takeout and my friends are over they are so impressed with the taste of the food and love it. The quality of the food definitely goes down between 6 – 8 as the place gets very busy, but it is still very tasty. The best time to order is between 12 – 5, but they dont have as many orders to fill so the food ends up tasting amazing. If you are looking to go out to a chinese resturant to sit down and eat, I do not suggest going herre as the place is very small and the people who come waiting for their food to be ready and basically hovering over you because of the small place.

My husband and I order regularly from Foo Luck and we have always enjoyed the food. This is a top-notch Chinese take-out restaurant and as someone who grew up on Long Island, I have had my share of a lot of Chinese take-out. This is by far the best place. The only thing that isn’t good here is the sushi, but if you are craving sushi I recommend Kurofune right across the street. They are always busy for a reason, because they are THE place to get Chinese food in the Commack area.

Just had lunch there and was joined by two cockroaches. Omg disgusting. Told the waiter he killed them and laughed. Never again!!! So dirty. I walked out.

We returned after having stopped going to Foo Luck for a while. It seems not much has changed since the last below average visit. Foo Luck remains busy but I think thats more because the Commack area in general is missing quality Chinese restaurants than Foo Luck being of good quality. Its not bad, its just not where it used to be. We used to look forward to Foo Luck but not anymore. The quality is just not there anymore. Chicken and broccoli was loaded with a half inch of grease/oil in the container. Egg rolls greasy and under cooked. Wonton egg drop soup was fine. Egg Foo Young was good except for the gravy which was too oily/greasy. White meat sesame chicken was OK, but about half of the pieces of chicken were tough and stringy. I hope at some point Foo Luck gets back to where it was though it remains one of the better Chinese food options in Commack which shows how poor the area Chinese restaurants are. Maybe we will try in 6 months or so but for now we will avoid Chinese in our area.

Food is very good. Classic old school style. The big negative is that because it’s so busy, it takes so long to get your food. On a Friday/Saturday night, I’ve waited nearly an hour for pick up and two hours for delivery. I often avoid the restaurant for this reason alone.

Best Chinese in Commack. I recommend the pork fried rice, egg rolls, boneless spare rib tips, chicken and broccoli, and steamed dumplings.

Foo gone South. ??? Order not to order. Chaos in the front. 7 people only 1 at the register. Screwed up the fried rice and sushi orders. Understand you are busy but the disorganization is effecting your business.

The person who answered the phone said it would take 1 hour for delivery. I thought that was a bit much for a Thursday night but I let it go. It wound up taking over an hour and a half. The driver got antsy when I couldn’t make it up to him within a minute and said«he had a lot of orders and had to go». All of the food was cold. The egg drop soup wasn’t very good. The general tso’s chicken wasn’t that good. The steamed dumplings weren’t good either. All of the food was very greasy even for Chinese food. The only thing that was OK was the rice and even that was a stretch. With so many Chinese food options out there try to avoid this one if you can.

I was disappointed w my takeout after looking forward to eatting sushi. I ordered a spicy tuna and avocado roll and an avocado salad. Some of the salad had gone bad and was wilted and rotten, I had to pick out the bad and then I just gave up eating it. The sushi smelt fishy after opening the container which is never a good sign. I ate it and was fine but it could have been fresher. Next sushi craving I will be going elsewhere.

Never coming back here. Almost choked and died on two sharp hard pieces of bone left in my sesame chicken. Not the first time I’ve found a small hard piece of something in my food, but this last one was large and sharp. Could have really hurt me. I’ve been unhappy with the food here for a while. The general Tsos is usually dry and very cheap on sauce, broccoli isn’t cooked fully, and now this bone shard. I’m done. Foo Suck.

This place use to be good they use to make there own dumpings. Got food from there tonight. Typical frozen dumpings like every other crap chinese food take out. They use to be good. If you want real chinese food go to the Red Tiger Dumpling house. Its a hike in Stonybrook but worth the drive better than this eh!!! No flavor. So disapointing and disrespectful to a cuisine and culture whos food is amazing.

I discovered live insects; ROACHES walking across my table mid-meal during lunch hours. I cared to regurgitate what I consumed up until this point; walked out of the restaurant; refused to pay for any part of the meal. Atrocious. DONOTEAT; ORDERFROMTHISRESTAURANT.

I‘ve been eating here for years and never really had a problem until now. I was about to take the last bite of Vegatable Lo Mein and looked a little closer thinking, «What vegatable is that??». It was a ROACH! I‘m so disgusted I will never eat here again.

They should call this place Foo Suck. My wife and I ordered from here on three different occasions and the food has steadily declined. The first time the food was decent on par with what most Unilocalers were saying. The second time not so impressed the food was ok. This last meal we stopped in for some take out and when we got home our dishes looked as if they took the food off someone else plate and shoved into the take out container. My wife’s chicken and broccoli pt. had rice scattered through out it. My dish pork with Chinese vegetables I would not serve to a dog. Sorry Foo Luck 3 strikes your out never again!

The service is great!!! Very attentative to our needs. My husband always gets the Chicken chow mein or Kung Pao chicken and he loves it. I usually get the Sushi and never had a complaint. I love it. On the weekends its very busy. I would suggest this place to everyone.

Best hot and sour ever! Every bowl made from scratch. Plentiful fresh made to order portions. Great sushi at a much lower price than elsewhere. Hard to understand some of the negative reviews I’ve bee eating there and ordering take out for over 20 years. Foo luck is a commack legend. Go there(but if ordering take out on the weekend, be sure to give them ample time, like 45 minutes to an hour). And the boneless spare ribs… ahhhhhhhhhh!

Good, standard Chinese take out. It’s fine. We always get the tofu and broccoli and the curry chicken. They are amenable to alterations and the food is cooked right in front of you and quickly. We keep going back!

Foo Luck is an above-average Chinese restaurant that satisfies my Chinese food cravings. I grew up eating Chinese food in the Chinatown of major cities so I have a good enough idea of what and how real, States-side Chinese food tastes. Foo Luck has done a decent enough job that I haven’t searched for another local, hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant. Their portions are on the larger side and can easily be shared by two people. Also, they don’t charge extra for brown rice like other establishments and I appreciate that they’re not trying to milk me for everything. If you’re taking out, I recommend you call ahead to place your order. Especially during the weekend because this place gets very busy.
