Seriously though, it’s been at least 2 years since they’ve had Chocolate ice cream. They haven’t even changed the sign, much less fix the machine. How are you not ashamed of that? How much could it possibly cost to fix? Or did having a second flavor eat into the profits too much!
If you are within a 15 drive from any of the superior Chinese buffets on LI, don’t stop here, just keep going.

What an incredibly underwhelming experience. Didn’t even finish… we should have left when they said they had no alcohol. That might have made up for the stale food. Do good chinese sit-​down restaurants still exist somewhere? I guess growing up in Flushing, Queens set the bar too high for Chinese dining in my life.

Worst crap you will find. Save your money. At one point was hit or miss on some of their food but now it has gone beyond that. They are also adding an 18% tip to your bill. spend your hard earned money at a good Chinese restaurant for the same price or less. yuck!

It’s a Chinese Buffet. Don’t expect anything fancy. Mounds and mounds of food is not really my thing but if you have a big group of people it’s a good option. The service is speedy and curt but not rude. The offerings are very broad, crab legs, dim sum, basic sushi rolls, lo mein, etc. it is in a convenient location in Commack and parking is ample.

Look if you’re looking for some professional 5 star buffet with spectacular Chinese food that blows your mind, this isn’t the place for you. You have to keep in mind this buffet is relatively cheap, I believe only $ 9 bucks during lunch hours. They also calculate the tip for you which whenever I’ve been there with a party of 2 – 4 never went past the $ 2 – 3 mark. For that price you get all you can eat good food. I love this place, it’s convenient, cheap, great food in terms of pricing.

Troughs of *meh* Chinese food does not a good taste buffet make. Blanketing everything in the building with a white or brown sauce does not transform blah food into something spectacular.
Next stop: Sushi. Lots of Sushi. Phew. The sushi appeared to be a lovely, safe thing to eat, but the —-taste — - brought me back to my Valley Girl days. «Like oh my God! Gag me with a spoon!!!»
Good Taste Buffet, I get it. Keep ingredients as cost effective, make as big a profit as possible even though people can eat until they explode. so that you can make a profit. A business plan should include ‘How to transform blah food into something spectacular’…

How can a Chinese restaurant in Commack be so bad? Artificial food that looks bad, tastes bad, and is served cold. Unsmiling and unhelpful staff.
Surprise — the restaurant was almost empty on my most recent visit. Combine the poor food with the absolutely awful service and I predict this is a restaurant on it’s way out.

Good Taste INDEED! Let me start off by saying that I typically do not like chinese food at all, so I was pretty underwhelmed about coming to a baby shower in a chinese restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the quality of this food.
This place is pretty visible in a spacious shopping center right off of Jericho Tpke and is busy but still comfortable and I didn’t notice anyone waiting for a table. Came for a private party and we were sectioned in the back but still close to the food. There are 3 – 4 buffets with a variety of foods. Their noodles were really great and the chicken with broccoli was so fresh. Fountain soda station so you don’t have to worry about waiting, but there were still servers coming around to see if anything was needed.
Can’t speak for the price because I attended a party where it was all paid for. I will absolutely return here. I went from disliking chinese food to craving this place!

After trying three buffets, I was totally bored with Chinese food buffet. Low price, ok food and ok service. Tips and service taxed included. Only paid by cash.
So for a long period of time, I will not try buffet any more. My fav buffet is crystal palace at Centereach!

I love this buffet, food is delicious and all the meat is tender. Price is amazing for what your eating. The Chicken on a stick is very tender and fryed with a light flour or corn flour breading which makes the texture so addictive that you want to go back for more. Def a quality buffet!
P. s.- Try the creamed spinach, best I’ve ever had.

I love Good Taste Buffet! I go every week and the is delicious! The crab meat, dumplings, garlic bread, fried shrimp, sushi, and chicken is especially tasty! The servers are nice and the prices are not bad. Go to Good Taste Buffet for the best chinese food around.

Went here for lunch with my girls. $ 8.50/person! I always liked this place. The waiters sometimes forget to refill your drink, but its always very busy when I’m there. A variety of good food. The place is clean, the staff is friendly.

DON’T GO! Absolute JUNK FOOD. No way could you determine what you’re eating… fake seafood, especially anything with the ‘CRAB’ name. We’ve been to the Chinese buffets in both Islandia and Huntington which were truly returnable establishments and well deserved of high praise for both food quality and price. At Good (NOT) Taste, the food buffet trays were ALL lukewarm during the entire meal, even upon tray replenishments. Bottom line — Well below substandard quality of food… STAY AWAY! AND, NO BAR of any kind.

my husband and i went at 9 pm and were not impressed walked out of here hungry. Do not go at night, they did not replenish the food and all I say is that if the inspector was there the place would be shut down. Most of the food was cold, and the sushi was sitting around, the fish on the side was tasting like the ice. For ice cream there was only chocolate and vanilla. The soda was a dollar, the meal cost 40 dollars for 2 people at night, lots of parking. the staff seemed to be friendly. about 50 items on the buffet. 2 carvers.

I used to have a lot of good things to say when I didn’t have a Unilocal account. But the last few times I went to Good Taste I’ve came back sick or nauseous. $ 8 for a lunch buffet is great but its because half the buffet is made up of artificial food.

Good taste buffet? NOT so much ! Went there at 8:30pm and they closed at 10, ALL the food was ICE cold, they did not replace anything when food ran out so I was stuck eating only what was left.
I was ask how everything was and I said ice cold, no discount on the inflated $ 14 price (on a Wednesday night) and no apology, just a swipe of my credit card.
I will not be back but I will make sure the health department visits as the food was nowhere sanitary levels.
Wish I could rate 0
