Came across a coupon and decided to give this salon a try. What was I thinking ??? Had appointment with Lori and was shocked at what a horrible job she did. She was almost argumentative with what I asked her to do and seems as if she had the attitude «I’ll show you «with my haircut. Just awful, very choppy and uneven. I don’t understand how Lori can do such a poor job and do this for a living. Ladies and gentleman — you are warned.

Christa is the best! I usually go to another salon but happened to stumble upon this one and it is fantastic!

Came in last weekend and been meaning to write a review. This was my first time in this salon. The women at the front desk was so pleasant and patient with me on the phone and in person and very personable! Even though I only spent $ 10 to get my hair washed I was treated like I was spending a million dollars and I think that’s so important! I wish I would have gotten the girls name because I would love to use her again! She took SOOO much time and effort into washing my hair and getting my knots out!!! It was a really pleasant experience and I plan on using this salon again!!!

Took my wife here. She wanted 2 inches straight cut off the bottom. The cut is very uneven. She had to point out missed spots to the stylist. The stylist never took a comb out to correct it, just clipped quickly with scissor (not even holding hair with hand). My wife is not pleased. Also the staff was young and immature. On the plus side the place was clean.

I was so unhappy for many years with my previous salon, but thought it was time to try somewhere and someone new. Now I couldn’t be happier! I usually go to Dawn, but recently went to Lori because Dawn was booked. They are both fabulous! They do exactly what you ask for and give great suggestions to make the look you want work for you. I would highly recommend JD Thomas & Co!

Just amazing! Dawn always gives a great cut & style-​I mean come on? I drive out here from Long Beach-​to all you local Commack peeps your just so lucky to have such a skilled hairdresser in your own backyard!

Do you know that feeling of walking into a hair salon and: a) the environment is upscale and chic without being stuffy? b) your stylist nods their head in understanding as you describe how you would like your hair cut/​colored AND THEN ACTUALLY delivers? c) the bill doesn’t bleed your wallet dry and you gladly hand over your credit card whilst doing a «look-​at-​the-​new-​me» hair flip/​toss maneuver in excitement? NO?! Then you must go to JD Thomas & Co pronto! I am quite possibly one of the most particular people on Earth with my hair and I must admit that for the very first time I have found a salon that doesn’t give me anxiety with every appointment for I know that I will get a great hair cut or color consistently. No Russian roulette. I just recently had my hair colored in an Ombré fashion (a very tricky trend that could easily go wrong) but Deana (shoutout!!!) made it look sophisticated, chic, stylish and über cool all at once. I simply ADORE how it turned out! I also love getting my haircuts here because I, like many women, am trying to grow my hair yet still have to get regular trims to nix dead ends — and when you them to «skim the ends please» you don’t walk out of here sans 2 inches of hair and runny mascara from crying! Have bangs? John gives me the most fabulous bang trims with expert texturizing… I highly recommend this place to all my fellow Unilocalers. ALL IN ALL: LOVE!
