My son had an emergency appendectomy because it ruptured. WIPEOUT people expected me to call and transfer my registration right then. We were in the hospital for 5 days because it ruptured and they won’t transfer my registration. I guess they expected me to pre-plan my son’s emergency appendectomy or to stop the rush to the hospital and go get my phone from home and transfer my registration. If you have an emergency wipeout run doesnt care. Although the policy does say they transfer your registration they will not transfer if your child or you have an emergency.

I really enjoyed the race itself. The obstacles were fun and what you would expect from Wipeout, and the guy who started the race was hilarious. I really DISLIKE the pricing model. The«nickel and dime» price structure has to go. I’ll pay more for more stuff. Charge me once, then get out of my pocket. No completion medals unless you pay extra, parking was extra(even though one of their emails said it was free), packet pickup the day of the event was extra. I’d do it again… but only if these things were worked out.

Only 9 obstacles which is very low for an event like this. Much of the race happened in parking lots, which I did not enjoy. I shot out of one soapy obstacles on to pavement in the parking lot which was painful. The spacing between obstacles was terrible which caused a lot of bottlenecking. After all of this, they did not give out completion medals to the people that finished. I thought that it was because their weren’t any, but I saw a few hanging up at some of the stands. That was very frustrating to me. All that said, about half of the obstacles were very good and exactly what you think of when you think of Wipeout. I hope they do a better job of this next year. I am really not sure if I will participate or not though.
