All coney islands are the same right? Do a degree, yes but places like Biff’s put the effort forward to stand apart from others and in the Union Lake and Commerce areas, there is stiff competition. Biff’s does is right in execution of diner standards almost every time. I don’t ever expect them to be perfect but I respect the consistency. Service is fast and courteous. Waitresses are easy on the eyes too. What? I thought we were in the trust tree. Foodwise, I’m a creature of habit here: Greek omelet, gyro platter or coney dogs. Greek omelet is huge for being three eggs, add taters and toast and you’ve got two meals. Gyros are not homemade but rather the same lamb log on a rotisserie but I like it here and the portion is twice what it is elsewhere. Coneys have that snap to it and the chili is probably Nationals but then so is everyone else’s. Fries are always cooked just right. No surprises here. Coney food done right.

All time favorite Commerce Coney! We love the laid back friendly atmosphere, the fantastic tastes and low cost. The Greek omelette I ordered once was so big, I seriously ate it in portions at home after… Along with my sons! And most importantly is the freshness of ingredients and the perfect tastes and seasonings of the marinated chicken, Greek dressing, etc.

Biffs is awesome. Super friendly wait staff, even better food. Try any of the skillets and the chili cheese fries! You won’t be disappointed

I’ve dined in and carried out. Both experiences have been very good. The food is fresh, service is friendly and the place is very clean. Typical large portions you get from most coneys. Excellent spinach pie, gyros, and chicken Greek salad. Lemon rice soup is consistently creamy, full of chicken and just lemony enough.

Best grilled chicken Greek salad! They marinate their chicken and its turns out very juicy and tender. Delish!

If you are a tried and true Michigander then you definitely have a favorite Coney Island restaurant. You will fight to defend that this Coney is «the best», probably frequent it for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and definitely think everyone who has never heard of or been to it is crazy. Which brings me to my favorite Coney; Biff’s Coney Island in Commerce. I seriously love this place. Sure I have my list of other Coneys that have my favorite Greek dressing, the best saganaki, greatest selection, etc. but this place has my heart. I’ve spent hours cozied up in their booths with my best friends gossiping over coffee and omelettes that are the size of our heads, sat down with my family for a quick dinner, and picked up carry out to bring home when I don’t want to cook. Whatever the reason I have for eating there, I am never disappointed. Anytime my best friend is in from Chicago, I take her here. She is always shocked at how big the portions are and how cheap the bill is. You can get a delicious and big Greek salad for $ 6.00, an omelette with hashbrowns and toast for under $ 7.00, or a Coney special for around $ 3.00. So basically it is extremely fairly priced and if you are like me, you will leave with a carry out box for later. Biff’s Coney Island has the cozy vibe that you want from a Coney. You want to be able to run there in your Sunday best or sweatpants and feel comfortable. The restaurant is lined with booths and has a few larger ones that we always sit at. The center is filled with smaller tables that you can easily move around to create a bigger table for a larger group and there is a bar that is often filled with regulars. You are sure to be greeted by the friendly staff and leave pleased with the taste, cost, and experience.

I got breakfast here. Everything was alright except the hash browns, but nothing was that good either, which is still reasonable for the price. The hashbrowns weren’t crispy and just tasted like thick lines of baked potato. It would have even been better if they were overcooked. It’s just not a good coney island.

I’m not really into Coney Dogs, yet I love Coney Islands. Almost all of them have a variation of a fried chicken salad, and Biff certainly does not disappoint. Their ‘small’ salad is so big, that you think you might have ordered a large. It is also sooo good. They always give me the extra cucumbers that I ask for, and it’s always more than I can eat in one sitting. I haven’t had any service issues when I’ve gone inside to eat, and the carry out is where I interact most with the business.

I really like this place. They have great food! I generally get their grilled chicken pita with ranch and fries. Great portion sizes and good food! Their breakfasts are really good, too!

I’m a fan of coney island, I love the simplicity and normally you can get good food. I came in to Biff’s on my own at a time where it was pretty dead. The waitress did not come over to my table until I finally went up to the counter to order a drink. I ordered my meal, sat back down and didn’t get my drink until after my meal was brought out by someone else! Biffs was more expensive than Leo’s coney islands. I ordered a chicken finger pita, the chicken was bland and there was nothing else on it. The fries were undercooked. I actually left a Coney hungry :( I would not recommend anyone to this place. You are better off at Leo’s.

Biff’s has an excellent Greek salad with grilled chicken. You might want to order the small sized Greek salad as the full sized one is almost more than you can eat. Love it!

After living for a few years in NJ Home of the best diners in the world i was quite enthusiastic when we moved to MI to discover Coney Islands all over the place, but what can i say we haven’t eaten at a good one yet, they are all so disappointing with bland food, indifferent service High prices for the quality. Biffs is no different, However as it is quite close to where i live, as a last resort in a pinch it serves an OK breakfast.
