Food is great, awesome customer service. The atmosphere is very relaxing and you get your food quickly. I highly recommend this place. The menu has everything from breakfast burritos to Philly cheese steak. I cannot stop eating the delux breakfast burrito so i do encourage you to try it.

A hidden gem tucked away under the Bank of the West Building, Johanna’s Café is without a doubt my favorite lunch time getaway. This a perfect place to come with a group, a friend or just yourself. The atmosphere is very friendly there and you are made to feel at home. My favorite thing to order is their hot Roast Beef Sandwich(pictured). Their BLT w/avocado is pretty wicked too… not to mention their potato salad and tortilla soup. Oofa! I also frequently use Johanna’s catering for many meetings and events and I am always satisfied with the service that is provided, the quality of the food, on time delivery and the great prices. More importantly I am amazed at their willingness to accommodate special orders(especially last minute ones). There are plenty of options to choose off of their menu, but regardless of what I order I always include their Strawberries & Mango chicken salad, I love seeing people fight over it. I’m personally a fan of their lunch boxes with their variety of hot and cold sandwiches. Been a happy customer for three years now, I couldn’t recommend a better place.

this establishment has the worst customer service! I have called in and placed my order over the phone to not have it ready upon my arrival numerous times and other times they were out of stock and did not notify me until I came to pick up my order. the owner always has an attitude and is not people friendly. the way this establishment is managed is atrocious and not functional and very displeasing! I would not recommend this place of business to anyone!

I come here from time to time. Some of my favorite items were taken off the menu so I started coming less often. The Southern Chicken Salad is legit and will last me two or three meals. Today, I had the sausage breakfast burrito for the first time. No coincidence I’m writing my review today. This just may have been the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. And I don’t engage in hyperbole. Not to mention, Johanna has a smile that will make you fall in love.

Great place to read, relax, study, catch up with friends, have a quick but well-made lunch… etc! This place is always a good idea for whatever mood you’re in. The menu is extensive and includes many types of foods(salad, Italian, Mexican, American, small snacks, coffee). Definitely stop by for the service, the ambience, and the food!

Always looking for good food for lunch in Commerce and read the Unilocal reviews. They were right-good, fresh, inexpensive place for lunch. Will definitely be back. Had the tuna wrap with potato salad and had to take half home. The potato salad is some of the best I have ever had. Co-worker had Orange chicken salad and said it was great.

A hidden gem in Commerce. Easy parking. Food is homemade and solid. The owner Johanna takes your order and she is very sweet. I get the salmon and salad plate, and usually sit outside at the tables in front of the building. But there is nice seating inside too.

I’ve been coming here for several months now for lunch. They have the most amazing cobb salad here and the portions are pretty big. Love eating here and just chilling out afterwards. They have a tv here where you can just watch and pass the time as well.

I have eaten here many, MANY times since I wrote my first review and I’m still pleased with the place. I work in the building and it’s great to be able to get lunch without having to go too far. Just down to a kind of depressing basement situation. I do recommend eating outside, or somewhere else because it gets pretty crowded at lunch time, and you are guaranteed to leave smelling like fries. Do they have good fries, you ask? No, they don’t have fries at all. I don’t understand the smell either! But the food is good. The breakfast burrito, oatmeal, caesar salad wrap, grilled chicken sandwich, tortilla soup… it’s a good, easy place to get a bite to eat. I recommend calling ahead of time so you can pick up your order without waiting for fifteen minutes for your food at the busy lunch hour. The ladies that work there are sweet and helpful, and are nice about substitutions and such. Just remember to eat outside, or pack some Febreeze.

This café is well hidden in the basement of the Bank of The West building. It’s more like a hidden secret as I never knew it was there until found it on Unilocal.I stopped in today and bought a Parmesan chicken sandwich. It took a bit longer to make since everything is cut and prepared fresh when you order it. I told the lady at the counter it was my first time and she gave me a menu to keep, suggested a few items and even gave me a tip about when their busy times are. They have a wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches on the menu and they serve Mexican food as well. Employee Tip: The place gets really busy at lunchtime from before noon to 1pm so call in your order in advance to avoid the lines.

Johanna’s Café & Deli is inside of the Bank of the West Building on E. Washington Blvd. When you go there, you can access it from the outside stairs and go down. Yes. Down. This place is located in what I think is the basement of this building. I was a little freaked out when walking down the stairs but was greeted by a very energetic and friendly cashier. I was there to pick up lunch that was being catered for my company. Wraps(turkey, chicken pesto, tuna, veggie), potato salad(which was delicious), tossed salad, fruit mix, and the best dang chicken tortilla soup I have ever had! The provided us with trays and utensils. Everything was neatly packed up. Getting everything ready to go was a bit slow. We had placed the order for 10:30 A.M. but our order was not ready when we arrived. I was pressed for time and will use delivery in the future. I do look forward to going back on my own to sample more of their very extensive menu that includes sandwiches, salads, wraps, Italian, soups and Mexican fare. Definitely eclectic but not lacking in flavor.
