Took them 45 minutes to make a god damn shake??? That’s not right. This sonic is awful. I never suggest going there

After waiting 30 minutes to order (there were 4 cars in front of us) we were then asked to pull up because they were «making our food fresh». After waiting 10 additional minutes and all the cars behind us got their food I backed up to ask for my money back and was told that they couldn’t because the manager that was there has got in trouble from the owner for giving refunds before. Now my order was $ 18 not $ 100. They then offered to throw in a large popcorn chicken to make it right, as well as our original order would take a few more minutes. In the end I left w/​o food and will be going back to get my money from the general manager and will NEVER return.

You have got to be kidding me with this place. I WISH I looked at the Unilocal ratings before I drove all the way to sonic after seeing a commercial that made me CRAVE a chocolate shake.
I pulled into a bay, just so I could take some time to look at the menu… since I’ve never been here before. Pulled into the drive through line… there were 3 cars in front of me and 2 waiting at the window. I waited 32 minutes from the time I got into the line at the drive through, until the minute I left. In those 32 minutes, 8 cars left the drive through due to wait time… 1 of the 3 cars in front of me (had yet to have order taken) and 7 more cars as I waited so very patiently for my food.
As I got to the speaker, the screen was broken or rebooting. not sure, but the person taking the order asked me 3 separate times what kind of drink I wanted with my meal (after saying a medium chocolate shake several times). When I got to the window FINALLY… it took the lady approximately a minute and a half to even open the window and take my credit card from me. She was talking with another woman inside… about what, who knows. All I know, is it wasn’t quick, and it wasn’t friendly.
I ordered the chicken fingers dinner with tots (instead of onion rings, texas toast and tots)… but I ended up getting the chicken fingers dinner with onion rings, texas toast AND tots. BUT ALL I WANTED WAS TOTS! I must say, the onion ring (singular, yes, I got a SINGLE onion ring) tasted just bland. No salt, no spices in the batter. The texas toast was literally that. Texas sized bread that was maybe slightly toasted. No butter, no garlic, just toast. Lol. I don’t know what the point of plain bread is with a chicken fingers dinner, but maybe to soak of the excess oil… but instead, the woman put my napkins inside the box with my meal and those soaked up all the oil so I couldn’t use them.
The chicken fingers were decent, the tots were great, the shake tasted wonderful… except the straw is the same size as I’d use for a soft drink, and it took me forever to suck the thick shake.
Don’t go to this Sonic unless you are an ultra patient human being who has nothing better to do than sit in a line and crave your food.

If I could put 0 stars I would. The only good things I’ve had here are their shakes. That aside, this sonic sucks. I pass by there a lot at night between 9:30−11pm. They are supposed to close at 12am. I have gone by there as early as 10pm and they’ve been closed. This has happened numerous times. When they actually are open, like they are supposed to be, they don’t have the shake machine working. Now I used to work at McDonald’s, and I know that the shake machine only stops working when it isn’t cleaned once per night. So their lack of shakes is due to their laziness. As is their lack of actually staying open till they say they’re supposed to be. We drove by one time at 11pm and an employee was outside smoking and explained they closed for the night because the didn’t have the coverage or someone called off. Absolutely ridiculous. The amount of times both these problems have happened caused me to never want to go to that sonic again.

Sonic is one of my guilty pleasures. My husband will not go anymore because of how much the chain has gone downhill in terms of service. I can overlook a broken speaker once and a while to get my fix, but today was the last straw. I pulled in at NOON and there were only a couple cars in the drive thru. That should have been clue number 1. The stalls I normally pull into all had signs that I assumed said the speaker was broken. I pulled into a stall on the other side that looked open. There were empty beer cans all over the parking spot next to me. When I hit the red button, the girl told me the stalls were closed but I could go through the drive thru. Pull up to the speaker to order and there is a big sign saying they could not serve anything containing ice cream. Well, okay. And the computer screen that shows your order still has not been fixed.
I’m sorry, Sonic, but I can’t do this anymore. It’s turned into a major dump and I really need to give my money to a company who takes pride in their product. Seeing all the other 1 star reviews, I see that I am not in the minority.

Bit into a burger which had a chunk of tinfoil and hair in it. Very disgusting. I doubt I’ll go back to any Sonic, and definitely not this one.

This location is a huge joke. I will not be back. They mess my order up every single time I’m there and over charge nearly every time. Place is ran by a bunch of idiots.

This is the worse fast food restaurant I’ve ever visited. One would think that ordering a few burgers and fries would be uneventful yet this Sonic location eliminates the mundane.
The staff is generally poorly trained (problems operating the register is constant) and appear to never know when a promotion is going on. I’ve had to show my phone numerous times on order to prove that the promotion I mentioned during my ordering was legitimate.
Then the staff doesn’t seem to know how to charge the correct price for the promotion. Then it takes forever to get your order no matter how many cars are in line.
How this location stays in business is beyond me and the franchise owner appears to not care as long as he/​she is making money.

Just got a large oreo chocolate shake from the drive thru and it was a pain to consume. Was not given any tissues, which was a problem since the cup was leaking. Also was not given a spoon and the only thing I had to consume the extremely thick shake was a straw with a 6 mm diameter. This was specially a problem since there were a lot of cookie pieces that were a lot wider and we’re impossible to get to, and others that would get in and block the extremely narrow straw making consuming the shake more pain than it was worth. The little bit that I managed to drink didn’t taste great either.

11:00 at night and we had a big delay getting our food. The burger was burnt up and we didn’t get sauces, napkins, etc.

This Sonic has to be one of the slowest drive thru restaurants I have ever been to. It took over 30 minutes cars where back out to the street. This place is always understaffed

Let me start off with, Sonic has really good food.
Now that, that is out of the way let me start off with how bad this experience was. So I went here when they had these coney dogs for only $ 1. $ 1? What a great deal, I know.
So when I went through the drive thru and told the person that I wanted the $ 1 coney dogs, she told me that they are not this. I told her about the deal and she said that her flyer said that they were not $ 1. So I told her to charge me for it and I would talk with a manager at the window.
After waiting 20 minutes, I finally got the manager to fix the price.
Note to self, Just get the foot long coney dogs, not the small ones.

I haven’t been here in over a year because the quality was poor when it first opened and they were always screwing the orders up. It got to the point where I sent in a complaint to their corporate offices and spoke to a customer service agent.
Against my better judgement, I stopped in here again today to give them another chance. I can report that nothing has changed — they were out of onion rings when I ordered at the drive thru and then came out while I was waiting for the order, that they were out of lettuce for the burger and would that be ok? Well, no… I can see that nothing has changed here so that’s not ok. I cancelled the order and drove away. My suggestion to you — avoid this place like the plague…

F this place. I went to go get my office Sonic Blasts and ice cream sundaes but they said there blast machine is broken which is not cool but whatever I got over it. What baffles me is the idiot employees said they can make milkshakes but can’t sell me sundaes??? How can you make a milkshake but not pour ice cream into a dish. Am I missing something. Screw this place and their poor service.

Read the rest of the reviews and that will sum up my experience. This had to be the most disgusting sonic I have ever visited. Took forever for our food and when we got it, it was so nasty, we took one bit of our food and spit it out, then asked for a refund.

Did takeout here today, I went here in order to try out their new boneless wings for a blog post.
Wings were good, I preferred the Asian wings to the barbecue style. I also got the pickle rings and the onion rings — the fried pickles were not to my liking but the onion rings were fantastic.
Drive-​through took me about 7 – 10 minutes because they said they were making the wings fresh, was a little long but oh well. Overall I’d go back to this location.

The only thing they have worth eating is that DAM ultimate Burrito and the one dam time I thought to myself I’m going to drive all the way to sonic for that very DAM burrito «hey WTFN it’s 8am and the web says they open at 6am». When I get there they were closed or so I thought, all the the lights were off including the open sign so I had to settle for the Tim Hortons next store and as I left that shit hole I see a car full of fucks getting their food at the window. Thous little fuckers were in there with the lights off trying to make it look like they were closed so they didn’t have to do anything WTF! I guess you get what you pay for when you pay a bunch of high school kids $ 8 an hour and now that I think about it I may have done the same thing.

Ive been to many Sonics all over the country. But this one. This one is the WORST. After waiting 10 mins to order 20 mins for my food then when i get my food EVERY SINGLE THING WAS WRONG. Not one item i ordered was right. So guess who had to wait another 20 mins! The guy was apologetic but come on NO REFUND? Or free shake? I HAD TO WAIT FOR AN HOUR TO EAT. This is the last time i eat at this Sonics. Worst sonics ever. Managers really need to step it up.

I like sonic burger. I actually eat their hotdogs more than anything. I normally get through the drive thru quick enough and the workers always seem friendly. I try not to eat fast food too much but when I do indulge, I’ll come here.

Forget the food and stick to the drinks. I have been known to drive an extra 10 miles if in the area of a Sonic, just for a Cherry Limeaide. There aren’t enough Sonic’s in the Detroit area and NONE in Washtenaw county. Please someone franchise out this way.
