Pretty healthy food that doesn’t make you feel like crap afterwards. Good price for what you get. Fast, friendly service. Parking is pretty tight since there are a lot of other businesses here but that’s expected in a plaza like this.

One of the few Wabas id go to. This is a little better than fast food. Plus — same plaza as Starbucks Parking is hard to find sometimes during peak hours. Service is friendly Salmon veggie bowl is what I usually order. Cons — no coke products so on occasion when I want a diet coke of have to settle for diet Pepsi

Updating review because the bathroom no longer smells unpleasant! The entire hall leading up to the restrooms used to smell bad. The food is still fresh and served fast. I will start coming back more often.

I like to eat heathly when I get change. I like restaurants that serve fresh ingredients like meats and vegetables it better way to eat healthy. My wife and I went Waba Grill get some things to eat, we decided to get two chicken bowls with vegetables. The chicken bowls was really good, we enjoy the vegetables were crunchy and not overcook. The chicken was really good it was charbroiled that’s the way you how your meat make it healthy.

Heard of WaBa Grill before? It’s like a tastier, higher quality version of Flame Broiler, but with more options. There’s grilled beef, grilled chicken, grilled salmon, and kalbi short ribs. Or you can go big like I do and go surf and turf at lunch and get salmon with a side of short ribs. Yes, I get $ 20 meals for lunch at WaBa hahaha. Everything is available on a plate, bowl, or veggie bowl. The plate is generally the most expensive and comes with rice, a small salad and a piece of fruit. The bowl is all rice and the veggie bowl(my fave) is half rice half vegetables. White or brown rice available. I don’t think there’s an upcharge for brown, but I could be wrong. Who knows… I don’t look at my receipts: P This location is clean, fast, and the help is friendly. Just watch out for the super skinny girl who ALWAYS tries to push avocado on you. There’s definitely and upcharge for that but she don’t tell you that. Enjoy!

First thought: Damn, no place to sit. Recommendation: Half & Half with green onions and brown rice. So i work behind the Target was looking for a quick and healthier bite to eat than going to McDonalds or Carl’s Jr for my lunch and i found this a WaBa! It was packed, packed packed, but the workers were on a hustle and they got the line down pretty quick! I’ve come back a couple of times and they’re always busy but always manage to get their orders out really quick so really happy about that. The food is cooked just as well as any other WaBa I’ve ever been to on non-busier days. They know how to keep customers happy and move the line along very quickly. But stay busy and getting orders down takes a toll on the dining area inside and outside.(They have two tables located right outside the door if the 8 tables inside are full.) Because they get so busy it seems as though they don’t always have a minute to take away to wipe down tables or sweep real. I honestly don’t blame them or am angry about it, just wish they could work out a system to get everything in order to keep clean. Other than that, i enjoy coming here on my lunches and am never disappointed with the food that i get. P.s The cashiers could smile a little more.

Food is good and even has decent prices. I just couldn’t get over the sewer that came from the restroom. I couldn’t enjoy my meal because of it.

This place is pretty good. I would recommend getting the chicken and use all the sauces they have. It’s priced well for the amount of good you get and the service is good and fast. I enjoyed my meal very much and have gone back a few times since.

3 bowls, 3 slightly overcooked dishes. Good teriyaki sauce though. Portion sizes are decent and easy parking.

Fresh as always. Can’t get enough of waba grill. I love this location as opposed to the one closer to my job because they actually have avacado. Service was great. Unilocal offer was honored. Food served in a timely fashion. If you’re near by stop in and grab a meal. They are all great.

There aren’t very many choices in the area for some good food, especially not anything even remotely healthy! Thank goodness for waba! I always get a chicken teriyaki bowl and let me tell you it’s the best one I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a lot! When the restaurat I worked at decided to add teriyaki bowls to the menu they used me as their test dummy. I would say«It’s good, but it’s no Waba». The service is great here and the line moves quickly even during lunch time which is probably when it’s the busiest. The cashiers have always been really sweet and welcoming and even the cooks in the back don’t look miserable. They’ve all got a little pep in their step and even the tiniest smile on their faces. I love that from people who are dealing with my food. The manager Pat is great! Regulars walked in and he knew their order right away. I need to come more often to get on that level. Be sure to follow them on Instagram, Facebook and I think they have a twitter too. They post offers and even freebies on there pretty regularly. I am in love! Only con is the parking but that’s not their fault.

2 chicken bowls for $ 7.98. What a «Great» deal! When I’m craving teriyaki chicken bowl, this is the spot to come. I work in the area so its a nice location to grab some lunch. The parking lot is compact so navigating during lunch time is madness(the Starbucks drive thru across doesn’t help with traffic flow either). The location has indoor and a small section of outdoor seating. Even during lunch, I’ve always found a table available and clean inside. The line moves fast, so that’s always a plus, especially when you’re rushing back to the office. While waiting for your order, help yourself to carrots, jalapeños, sauces and condiments. Also Free refills with a soda purchase.

Love this place for a healthy lunch! Brown rice, white meat chicken, and steamed veggies! What’s not to love? I have tried the dark meat before and i did not like it, so if u are picky about your chicken like i am go for the white meat. I like the teriyaki sauce too and if you want to make it spicy they have a spicy jalapeño and carrot mix!

I’ve been to this Waba at least 15 times. I always tell myself not to eat too much but I always get the chicken + beef combo with veggies. You want a quick bite? You want to eat healthy? Stop by here… you won’t regret it. Oh, the jalapenos and carrots(free) add a nice little kick to the plate.

Why do I continue to go here? Duh, b/c there are very few healthy choices around my office in Commerce and the Food Court on Rickenbacker and Eastern gets tiresome. You may be wondering why the one star, well… it’s not b/c of the food. As everyone has said, it’s good. As far as the chicken goes, it’s not the healthiest chicken, it’s dark meat and fatty, but I can deal with that. The one star is for the service. I’ve been going to this place on and off for a long time(years), yet there is one cashier, the one with the mole by her lip, who is RUDE every time. I’ve even sent an email to the owner about it. I don’t know if the words«THANKYOU» are in her vocabulary.

In the Bell/Maywood/Cudahy area where I work… well, finding yummy AND healthy food is practically impossible. I’ve been here lots of times because it’s close by in Commerce, but it had been awhile when I stopped in a few days ago. My boss and two colleagues and I had just finished a meeting when we decided we were hungry and tired of eating fatty food. I got the steak bowl with veggies and brown rice. The steak is very moist and surprisingly lean. The cabbage was nicely steamed with still a good amount of crunch, but the broccoli was either a bit too mushy or not cooked enough — not good. And I’m not normally a brown rice person, but this rice was perfectly sticky, nutty, and not the least bit bland. I also had them add thinly sliced green onions for a nice crunch and bite, which was a good idea. I also love a teriyaki bowl that doesn’t need to be drowned in sauce to be edible, so this was pretty close to perfect. Others in my group had the large chicken salad(only 5 Weight Watchers points… really???), chicken bowl, and the new shrimp bowl. Everything was fresh, made-to-order, piping hot, and yummy. None of the others had been here before, and they all said they’d come back. No entrée was more than $ 7.50, so a relatively good deal for a healthy meal. Warning: The parking lot is too small and the spaces are really narrow. Be prepared to wait for a spot around lunchtime.
