The bakery is convenient. But they are very rude to blacks in there now dayz. So me and my family have decided not to return. It was so much better when the owners dad was alive. Yep i been going there that long. But never again.

My co-workers have been raving about Ruben’s food for sometime now. They liked it so much, It’s been added to their weekly lunch rotation. I finally tagged along to check it out. Their favorite is the Chili Verde Burrito. I can see why. The burrito was very flavorful and spicy, whoa was it spicy. I loved it. No fillers either(rice or beans) just meat(the way I like it). I’m usually not a fan of chili verde’s but this burrito changed my perspective on it. Get this one. I also tried their tacos. Carnitas Taco was far and away my favorite. Asada Taco was just okay Adobada Taco had a kick to it. Yum! Chicharon Taco was not good. Not crunchy(stale, old tasting), pass on this one I was a bit adventurous one time and ordered the Bolilo Areglado. It’s bread with refried beans and cheese as filler. It was good, but I like meat on my sammy lol. This is also a bakery and they crank out bread, cakes and pastries. Bread is a very popular item here. I see most of the customer order it. We usually get the food to go It’s basically a market that sells food. No dinning area. Not the prettiest place to go to, but the food is good. Price wise, it’s very reasonable. My co-workers didn’t steer me wrong. The food at Ruben’s is good. I’m definitely coming back, specially for that chili verde burrito =) 2015 Review #92

Went here on my lunch break and I must say Great burritos. Not to pricy. Everything taste very fresh and the meat was juicy an all around good burrito. If you have a short lunch break I would call ahead and order your food so you get back on time. Totally worth being late from lunch.

I get one day off a week from work. And the six days I do work they are 12 – 14 hour days. On my day off my main goal is to go and enjoy an asada plate, but that definately wasnt the case when I came home from Rubens Bakery. Everything from the asada down to the salsa was bland, no flavor at all. I dont know if this is the same place receiving positive reviews from others because my experience was the complete opposite. The only reason for me coming to this place because where I usually enjoy my asada plate was closed. Now for anyone who reads this review, if want want to spend your hard earned money somewhere and not feel like it was a waste try this hole in the wall called la cocina de mi abuelita off of wilmington and greenleaf. You will not be disappointed. Believe me. By the way I only chose 1 star because I had to. This place doesnt even deserve that from my experience.

Believe it or not, they sell really good carne asada burritos! It’s inside the market and their pastries are good too! I still crave it sometime when I pass by! :)

stumbled into here accidentally cos i havent eaten all day. To my surprise, $ 4.85 for a fully loaded burrito?! They are also a grovery store and a butcher shop thats why i think the meats are so good. Got the ASADABURRITO and its as flavorful as any burrito i have ever had

Omg I’ve been coming here since I was a little girl! And up to this day the pan dulce is amazing, a little pricey but still good. I’ve only had bad experiences with the cakes that are already made. They taste like they’ve been out there too long.

Best torta ever. Period. Carnitas is my favorite but they’re all good and so are the burritos.

This is my family’s go to spot for tamale masa. It’s on the corner of El Segundo and Santa Fe. So it’s pretty hood-loso. But it’s a really good bakery/store.

You have to come early to get the warmest bread. It’s fresh throughout the day but there’s fewer people to compete with early on :) I’ve yet to try their food but if it’s anything like their bread I’m sold :]

No complaints what so ever! Very fresh good and authentic mexican food. I had a chili verde burrito and it was the best. The carne asada taco and burrito was great! I love the sweet bread too. Very good service.

Best chile verde burrito EVER! EVERRRRR! Hearty — the kind of burrito you can cut in ½ and eat across 2 meals, or share with a friend, but so good you just might inhale that ever-loving thing in under 3 minutes. Chile Relleno burrito is good too. I think the magic is in the beans — they married, made love to, and danced the Cumbia with a brick of manteca and a dusting of crack!

This place is flush on the corner of Santa Fe and El Segundo, lovely intersection. Tiny parking lot but you’ll be fine. They have a small grocery area, large mexican bread selection along with other bakery items, and a lunch counter. I alwats get a Chile Verde Burrito without any extra hot sauce. It is good. Everone who trys these burritos agree, they are a great. Last time I visited i changed it up and had the Chile Relleno burrito and I think it is my new favorite. So yummy and no meat. The area is questionable the burritos are good. Burritos are around 5 bucks. Give it a try.
