Concord Camera Store

I really appreciate that this store is available, when most places are now online only, and prints are low quality at the places available. I was looking for high quality prints on quality paper, with options like borders, gloss level, etc. I found it here! Their website could use some updating as far as being editing friendly and I think there should be a final preview function available before checkout.
I was really impressed by their customer service. I went in to pick up my prints, and the image wasn’t cropped as I wanted (see above comment about a final preview), and it was immediately rectified to my 100% satisfaction. I will be back with future printing needs. I really felt like my small printing job was important to them, and for it to be right. I appreciate this level of attention, it’s hard to find, and certainly cannot be found at a large chain store. Wonderful Local Business.

I was a long time faithful customer of Concord Camera, then a long came digital. It took awhile to really get into it, but now I going gun ho. I’ve gotten some great pictures, but there’s nothing like 35 mm. My Pentax’ light meter was not working so I was not able to take it on a couple of evertful trips.
I finnally decided to bring it into Concord Camera, where I had brought it in for repair and cleaning before. By phone message I was told the light meter was broken and they had a separate light meter I could buy. As I found out later that light meter was used.
I delayed picking up the camera since I was disappointed. When I did go in to pick my camera up, nothing had been done to it. No cleaning, No checking batteries whick I had ask them to do. I explained the problem to the associate there. He looked it over and said I needed a new battery.
What a surprise and I was discusted. Nothing had been done at all. I asked why. Who had done the supposed work. Why hadn’t it been sent to Pentax? Why hadn’t the batteries been checked? What WAS done. I got no answers.
I paid for the new battery and left. I’ll never go back again,

Two years after my initial review, the owner leaves a comment. He states that «there is nothing that could be done» about my «two rolls» of film being fogged. It is interesting that the owner pretends to have intimate knowledge of a transaction that happened two years ago, when he may not have even been in the store. The problem with the film was not fogging, and I never stated in my review that it was. I also never stated I had problems with «both rolls.»
Secondly, Michael implies that I am confused about the prices I have paid for film processing elsewhere. Since Unilocal filters reviews naming other business, I won’t name them, but anyone can research prices online to find that you can absolutely develop 120 film for less with other NH processors. in 2009, when my initial review was written, I was paying $ 3 a roll for 120 processing at a now out-​of-​business camera shop in Nashua. I still pay this price a roll for processing with other businesses.
It’s telling that when I say I had been a long-​time customer and that it is the customer service I have an issue with – something that has changed – the response is that I, the customer, must have a bad attitude.

Service at the store is so-​so. Employees are somewhat knowledgable, but can be rude at times. If you’re getting a camera repaired, find a place to bring it yourself. When they send it to their repair place, it can take up to 8 weeks to get it back. They confirm the price with you two weeks after you drop it off, then it can take an additional 4 – 6 weeks from that point. I received my camera 6 weeks after the drop-​off date. The biggest annoyance??? The problem isn’t completely fixed. I’m not waiting another 6 weeks for them to actually fix this problem.

Love the «do it myself» machines with lots of selections on prints, appropriately sized for digital prints and from borders to books, calendars, dvd’s — you name it. The stuff is quality. Prints come out great. Priced at same as drug stores or better, with a wealth of staff knowledge close by — they’re friendly but not «in your face». Best local business in Concord.
