Rude employees. I wouldn’t bother going here if you need to try on the clothes you’re going to buy. I always need to try stuff on because different brands fit differently. In my case, the employee took forever to come over to open the fitting room door. She never came back when I pressed the button seeking assistance for a new size. I would normally have just gotten it myself, but I waited so long for her to let me in that I didn’t want to leave the room. Then when I did go back with new sizes, she never bothered to come let me in at all. But I was confused because the employees were just hanging around.
I also looked into buying a bike, but since literally NO employee bothered to come over and help me, I had no idea what I was looking for– so I stopped trying to find someone to help me.
I will say, they have a fantastic selection of clothes. The store is decently organized, but its hard to find the sizes you’re looking for– since the employees do not bother to ask if you need anything. Just order the stuff online, it probably will cost about the same.

Lots of clothes really. If you need anything specific, it’s better to order it online.

The kayak I bought was OK but was missing the scupper plugs. Scott said they would have the mfgr send out to me, but haven’t seen anything and now Dicks is not returning my e-​mails.

Don’t waste your time unless your looking for sports wear. A whole lot of clothes is what they have to offer. The guns & ammo dept is very weak. They don’t sell rubber life rafts either… I’ll stay with Big 5 sporting goods.

I’ve been shopping at Dick’s a lot lately due to having a family member move in who plays high school sports.
We had a list of items to purchase and other than a greeter at the door, there were no sales people on the floor to help us navigate through the racks of clothes, which are arranged by brand, so if you are looking for black track pants, be prepared to look through the Nike, Addidas, Reebok, etc. rack. Not fun if you can’t find the size you want.
When I did ask for help someone said it was in the women’s department (duh, really?) to which I responded, yes I imagine that women’s soccer shorts are in the women’s department, but can you show me where (as I thought to myself… so I don’t have to spend 30 minutes looking for each item)?
Next we needed cleats, like every other kid in town, the shoe department was swamped with only two sales people. Mind you there were managers up front milling around. The wait to try on shoes was at least 10 minutes, then to get other sizes, we were behind a lot of people who were waiting before us. The shoe department needed help but no one seemed to care.
When I got to the cash register to check out, I was asked the proverbial question, «did you find everything you were looking for?» to which I answered «no.» They said, «do you want to try to find it now?» and I said I’d been in the store long enough and just wanted to get home.
It’s convenient when you need some one-​stop shopping but don’t expect much customer service.

It’s a typical «big box» store with slow checkouts and employees more interested in texting that providing the customer service they are being paid to provide. Quite frankly, I usually order elsewhere online or I go to Bob’s Stores.

The selection is just like any Dick’s store, but I was seriously impressed by the helpful staff at this location! I was shopping for a specific coat and at least three different staff members helped me at some point. They were having a hard time finding my size in the shipment they had just received. At one point, I remarked that it wasn’t that big of a deal and one of the employees told me that it definitely was a big deal and that he’d keep looking! I think they ended up going through 12 boxes to find my coat in my size without any complaints.
