Dorton Park

This is a great park for walks/​jogs. One loop around the entire park is a mile which makes it easy for tracking distance during laps. There is a tennis court, a couple of small play areas for kiddies, covered picnic area and a ball field. The trail alternates between concrete/​gravel (and wood where the bridges are) and there are a few small hills which makes it great for beginners/​intermediates. The park is very well-​kept and the restrooms are usually fairly decent no matter what time I have gone! The park is a decent size, but the parking lot is pretty small so parking tends to be cramped.

This is a charming neighborhood park. It has two covered shelters with tables, two playgrounds (one for toddlers and one for older children), swings, a paved track and a soccer field. There are also a few tennis courts. It has a great energy: runners on the track and families playing in the park.
