Although it is a smaller Dunkin’ Donuts, located within Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, North Carolina, this is one of the best Dunkin’ Donuts that has kept us coming back for years ever since Great Wolf Lodge opened. The donuts are always delicious. We are of course fans of Dunkin’ Donuts, and at this location the staff is always friendly. Along with donuts you can purchase coffee or assorted soft drinks, and just outside of the shop you can sit down and look out over the water park through the windows with an indoor balcony view and enjoy your snack. Afterward, there is a gift shop for Great Wolf Lodge, so it’s a great location where you feel really relaxed and comfortable while you enjoy your donuts. We tend to stop in to Great Wolf Lodge whenever we are in the Concord area, and mainly it’s for the donuts and to see any seasonal decorations that the lodge itself has. With it being a different location for Dunkin’ Donuts than most DD shops, this one has the advantage of the resort atmosphere. It is a small location, so really there is only standing room within the shop where you can place your order, but with the lodge it has an advantage of feeling like a really great donut shop located within a great location. Parking is available in Great Wolf Lodge’s private parking lot, and even if you are not a guest at the hotel you can always go into the resort to purchase donuts and enjoy the lobby area.

Dunkin Donuts is pretty consistent with their donuts, but could be a hit or miss with their coffee depending on who is making it. This was the case of a miss. The line, in the morning, is ridiculous. It is a very very small store because it’s in Great Wolf Lodge. Very cramped and a terrible layout. Definitely not designed for any more than a few people at a time. If you have to go here, be prepared to wait. And make sure they get your order right.

So first of all — ITISINTHELOBBYOFTHEGREATWOLFLODGE. Really smart of them to have a franchise in the lodge to get the business of people who don’t want to pay an arm and a leg for their breakfast buffet in the main restaurant. Love DD. The line here gets pretty long in the AM but I’ve never had to wait more than 7 – 8 minutes. No combo meals at this location. Pretty much a la carte. $ 14 for two sandwiches, 4 donuts, 2 coffees and milk is fine by me when that’s about the same as one buffet. Plus, I’ve never met a kid that won’t eat a donut… The staff is fast, friendly and you can charge it to your room.
