El Favorito Taqueria

Ordered our food. Then went to the restroom to wash our hands. OMG. The restroom was the nastiest I have ever been in. So my guess is that if I couldn’t even use the restroom to wash my hands then they probably aren’t washing their hands either. We got our money back and politely left.

Went today and the place was closed???

The food is great! Love their meat tacos, very fresh and tasty. Love their nopales salsa but wish they had it available daily.

use to be taqueria los altos 2 my favorite in the east bay, now guess new name and ownership, to me nothing has changed but the name. I ordered my usual and it tasted just the same, place looks the same and believe it’s the same cook.

I ate a shrimp cocktail, and my wife had fish tostadas. We were both throwing up badly. Then I checked the health inspection reports, and… Not good at all.
I tried calling them but they disconnected their listed phone number

Taqueria Los Altos I will really miss you at this location, I loved your tasty tacos and would drive out of my way to have one. True, the new spot offer a free burrito card, and that might appeal to many people. I saw that the same cook was still there and your name is still on the menu board where customers order.
I gave it 3 tries and the tacos tasted different on each visit which didn’t surprise, me what did surprise me was that they were just average at best all 3 times
Perhaps the biggest change was there were not as many people enjoying a Sunday meal here as there were in the past. Maybe because the children’s driving game is gone and so are the families.
I sort of doubt I will be going out of my way to stop in for a crispy taco.
