Really good service and food! For the price and quantity you can’t beat this place. Got a huge plate of rice, chicken, veggies and soup for 9bucks!

Great food! Great service! What more could you ask for? The workers here are so welcoming, my step daughter loves it here! She surely does approve of the chicken noodle Phở! Beef stew was very rich and not tough at all. The waiter was very attentive and kind.

We came looking for good phở and my wife and kids were not disappointed. Four different bowls of phở and everyone gave theirs a big thumbs up(and my wife and 3 kids are picky about their phở). I’m not a phở guy so I had the grilled pork chops on top of rice. Good seasoning and flavor on the pork chops and I loved the sticky rice. Our waiter was great, friendly and very funny… we had fun talking to him and his service was outstanding. He recommended their spicy chicken wings as an appetizer and we went for them. Great wings, we took our leftovers home. The one and only downside was the lack of air conditioning but the front doors were wide open and a little breeze was coming in. Overall, we’ve been to several Vietnamese places around Walnut Creek/Concord and we are return customers to Hello Phở!

I got there before these two men walked in. However, a lady took order from them first.

Craved Phở for an early dinner meal and decided on Hello Phở because of the reviews and the vicinity. We arrived seeing fans sitting by the door.(Oh man, no AC?!) It was warm out so it wasn’t the most ideal. They had the typical options on their menu and of course, I ordered phở at a new place! I asked for cooked bean sprouts but they brought them to the table raw. The table was dirty when we were seated, but the food was delicious nonetheless. The meal filled me up but it was just okay. I also(like some others) came here with high expectations but were met with a mediocre setting. Cheers though!

I’ve eaten here at Hello Phở a few times now, last time as recently as today. The food has always been fabulous and the service is great too! While I typically go for Phở, I wanted to change it up a little bit today so I ordered the Hello Wings and Mi Xào Gà(for you Austroasiatic language novices, that’s Chicken-Stir Fried Egg Noodles) and both were fantastic. The Hello Wings appetizer was humongous and incredibly good value for the price… Both my wife and I ate a bunch of wings each and we couldn’t finish the dish. The stir fried dish was also incredibly tasty. While it’s been a little while since I’ve tasted their Phở, it’s always been incredibly good and the portions are more than ample to cover you for dinner as well. If you dig Phở, this is a place you really ought to check out!

This review is long overdue. Without a doubt it is the only place that I can find really good banh mi or Vietnamese sandwhiches. There are only 2 places in the Concord area that I know of that serves banh mi: Saigon Bistro and Hello Phở –but hands down Hello Phở has the tastier grilled chicken sandwich. This time I was not able to eat my favorite sandwhich(not on my meal plan atm), but bought one for my mom who had a craving for the sandwhich. When I stepped in I remembered how much I missed the grilled chicken banh mi. There are grilled onions in the sandwhich which make it more unique compared to other banh mi’s. Believe me I had my fair share, as I attended and graduated from San Jose State which is home to many Vietnamese sandwhich shops like Lee’s sandwhiches. This one tops that one for sure. They also have phở, Pearl shakes, and other Vietnamese plate dishes. PROs: the best grilled chicken banh mi I’ve had! CONs: it’s a little small in space, but if that doesn’t bother you, then it’s all good!

More of a 3.5÷5 stars. It was a rainy day and I told my boyfriend that I was craving phở and he mentioned Hello Phở so I decided to give it a try. We walk in and it’s a seat yourself restaurant. Before we even sit down, we’re greeted and given waters. Very attentive servers and the three that were there at the time were very nice. So as I’m looking through the menu, the first thing that I noticed was that most of the items were beef of some sort. They had one vegetarian phở, seafood phở and chicken phở. I wish they had more variety. I didn’t ask if they could substitute different meats on the different phos, so that may be something to do if you’re interested in the more specialty style soups but don’t want beef. We also ordered the potstickers. Everything came out at once reasonably quick and the potstickers were of the thicker-skin variety and pretty fluffy. They were yummy! I definitely prefer more dumpling-style potstickers over the thin super crispy ones. I ordered the beef wonton phở, and my boyfriend ordered the chicken phở. Both of the phở soups were warm, tasty and hit the spot. I wouldn’t say it’s the best phở I’ve ever had but no complaints from me! I would definitely come again on a rainy day if I’m in the area but is it my favorite phở spot? No, but it’s still good.

I had high hopes for Hello Phở. Food: I ordered a bowl of bun ga nuong as that is my go-to dish and my favorite dish as well. I will admit it’s difficult trying this dish at several places, because my standard is a bit high & I know in my mind exactly what I’m hoping to taste when I dig into my bowl. This bowl for starters didn’t have a good ratio of meat, veggies & noodles for me. Veggies are most important to me, as I want to fill myself up with more vegetables. The bowl had a scarce amount of veggies, but an abundant amount of noodles. The chicken was tender, grilled properly and also plentiful, but it lacked flavor. My friend has a bowl of phở and she thought it was average in taste. Price: I paid $ 7.50 for my bowl of bun ga nuong. Most other dishes range between $ 7-$ 10 with a ton of different dishes on the menu & also drinks. Reasonable pricing. Ambiance: They were playing old-school 90s R&B the day I dined her, brownie points on the music! Granite tabletops threw me off a bit, tables are a bit high. or I’m just really short? Décor is simple and restaurant is clean. Service: Above average in comparison to other Vietnamese and Asian establishments. Very friendly & courteous employees at Hello Phở. Overall: My one experience didn’t really cut it for me, but maybe I should come back and try the PHO being that the place is called Hello Phở. Overall, authentic Viet food with reasonable pricing and good service.

Delicious banh mi sandwiches, just OK phở, and terrible«fresh» spring rolls. The spring rolls came out and first bite I took, I could tell it’s not fresh. The wrapper was dried out, meaning it was pre-wrapped. The phở came out in a tiny little bowl, full of noodles and little beef. The banh mi took a while to come out, several minutes after the phở & spring rolls. The sandwich was delicious and the bread was soft, crunchy and warm. Great veges mixed in. Many other phở places, but I’d definitely return for a banh mi to go for lunch or something.

A 3.3÷5.0 Went to Hello Phở based on a recommendation from my Unilocal friend Harvey K as we asked if he had another recommendation for another phở shop not too far away from Kevin’s phở shop on Main St. So Hello Phở is located off Monument Blvd in Concord. Mildly sketchy area with some folks on bmx bike trolling the parking lot(read young punks looking for the next smash n grab opportunity). So off we eagerly went into the restaurant! So against my better judgement I ordered my favorite phở dish, Bun bo hue. I wanted to do a taste comparison against Phở Saigon Garden in Dublin. Now the waiter did warn me that they don’t use duck blood in the broth(I didn’t know they use duck blood in BBH in the first place), but I ordered it anyways. I needed to do the taste challenge! Couple of things didn’t impress me. First was the taste of the broth. It didn’t have the richness of flavor like the BBH at Phở Saigon Garden. Second was that the noodles were of the thinner style like you’d get with a regular bowl of phở. Third was the ingredients. It wasn’t spoiled but on the cusp of not being fresh. What was really good though was their spring rolls. Those tasted like everything was made to order. It’s doubtful if I go back, but it’s worth a shot if I’m in the area and craving for some noodle soup.

Slim pickings when it comes to food options in Concord. I get a 45 min. lunch break and this is the closest Phở spot from my work. It’s small, about 10 tables, but clean. Fast service. Sit down. Water is served. Waiter is ready to take your order. Two mins later, hot bowl of Phở. Super friendly staff and I always end up talking with the owner about random things like fruit. There’s a 10 dollar min. if you pay with card. Bowl of Phở is about 8 bucks! I never carry cash so I end up having to buy a bottle of Fanta to go.

Today my boyfriend and I had planned to just stop at Subway after a day of quick errands and when we saw the Phở sign, we took a turn and looked at the menu. Best decision ever. Everything looked delicious. My boyfriend was craving any kind of phở soup and I love chicken dishes. So we went inside and the place was clean and all of the workers are very quick! We ordered the Chicken noodle phở for my boyfriend, a side of pot stickers and the lemon grass chicken over rice for myself. The service was quick and the food was delicious! The chicken came with a small soup and tasted so good! I am so pleased we took a quick turn and a even quicker chance to go inside because now we have a new favorite spot to come to. The prices aren’t bad either and the taro milk tea is a must try!

Since my first review, I’ve gone to Hello Phở for lunch around 10 times. The Phở is very consistent each time, and service is always very fast. Like I mentioned in my first review, it’s not the best Phở broth I’ve ever had, but it’s tasty and a perfect spot for lunch. Like a lot of Vietnamese places, there is a minimum credit/debit charge of $ 10. They do make exceptions, but those card fees kill small businesses like these, so bring cash if you can!

I want to say I come in about once a month and whenever I feel like I am starting to get a sore throat. A bowl of their Phở drenched in their chili pepper oil is my cure all for a sore throat. I swear by it! I am a huge fan of their #2 Fresh Spring Rolls, I could easily eat only those for the rest of my life as long as they are accompanied by their peanut dipping sauce. I have ordered their Spring Rolls to-go a couple of times and they are no where near as good as they are in the restaurant, I guess that can be true for any food. If you do order their #2 to-go I suggest asking for extra peanut dipping sauce because, at least for me, the amount they give you isn’t enough. I also religiously order their #20, which is their Phở with sliced steak. Every once in awhile I will switch it up and order Phở with a different cut of meat but I think the #20 is the best. I really like their Thai Iced Tea. Their prices are decent, the quality of food is great and the customer service is excellent. I always feel very welcome and that my business is appreciated whenever I dine here. They are really good about keeping your water glass filled.

You can bet your sweet bottom that we made a lot of phở puns in the car on the way over here, as the correct pronunciation of «phở» followed by the word«king»… well, say it out loud and you’ll see what I mean. Potty mouths aside, my friends and I are always on the lookout for delicious eats. I’m always quite surprised at how progressive Concord has become in the vegan food world, even though a Contra Costa County favorite shut down recently(RIP Saina, you will be missed). Rosanne P. had already confirmed with the owners that the vegetarian phở is also vegan, awesome! I always like to double check about whether or not soups are veg-friendly, and this one is, so I was a happy camper. We all opted for the #30, a vegetarian phở with tofu and vegetables. I would have liked mine with a bit more veggies, but the broth was fragrant and flavorful. All the accoutrements(bean sprouts, basil, jalapeños, limes) were super fresh and added oomph to the dish. I added a splash of Sriracha and it was perfect. A lot of other restaurants make their broth too bland or too spicy, but this one was just right. Perfection in a bowl! So phở king good. Great for these chilly nights we’ve been having lately. Even the small size is plenty of food, and at $ 7, is a very affordable yet hearty meal. I just wish there had been more broccoli, and I didn’t see any cauliflower as mentioned in Rosie’s review, but it’s nice to see a meatlessoption, since most phở places I’ve been to don’t have any sort of vegetarian or vegan soups. My debit card was having trouble and wouldn’t scan, which was slightly embarrassing, so make sure you bring cash just in case that happens to you.
