Great food, fast service. One of my favorite phở places to go when I’m back in town. The egg rolls are always a great choice.

This is our favorite phở place hands down. The flavor is the best that we’ve had(we’ve tried lots of places). I always get the steak and brisket(hold the tripe and tendon). Cheap and delish — crave this in the cold months

Friendly, clean, easy parking. The food is consistently good and affordable. My girlfriend and I try to come here at least once a month and they always remember us and our order. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a casual, quick phở bite that ‘hits the spot’.

Parking is pretty good, it’s near the end of a small strip mall. They’re fast, which is a very big plus for me with phở spots. BUT the noodles were pretty hard & the soup tasted weird. I always get a #20(well done brisket) which was 6.50 $! Pretty joog. Buuut, I think if I were ever to come back, I would get a large instead next time. I also got a lycée slush(3.50 $), which was okay. I asked for no boba, but they still put some in anyways Probably cause she didn’t write down my order & didn’t seem like she was really paying attention anyways. Might try to come back & try their other stuff tho.

We ordered the sliced beef phở #17. Super gross! All that fat was in both our soups. We will never come back to say the least.

Good place to eat phở when in pleasant hill I’ve come here a few time and their phở seems consistent. I will definitely be a returning customer.

Delicious phở and authentic Vietnamese food. Hole in the wall location in a small strip mall, nothing glamorous inside/outside. Worth every penny. Place always has people in it, a sure sign that there doing something right!

This is my second time here. The first time i ordered the special phở and it was just okay. It seems that you get the same amount of portion if you order a medium and large but just with more broth. This time around i ordered the number 30 which was just okay as well. They give you quite a bit of fishcake pork and shrimp and skimp out on the ground pork. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly. Overall, this place is just an average phở joint.

My bf and I have come here on occasion. I guess this will be our last visit! The food is decent, but the owner isn’t very ethical or friendly when we questioned why the bill was so high. For 2 small soups and a fried chicken appetizer(no drinks) the bill was almost $ 30 bucks for lunch. When we questioned why so high, the owner claimed that the prices have gone up, and even though they say one thing on their menu, they are entitled to charge whatever they want. He also mentioned how new menu’s were being printed. So, that in itself is why we will never go back. Once an owner is like this, it just shows that they don’t care about their customers. We plan on giving our business to another local Phở place.

This place is nestled in a tiny strip mall. It’s very nondescript. I had the Phở with steak. The broth was wonderfully flavorful. But not too strong like a lot of other places. It came with the usual basil, jalapeño, bean sprouts and lime. The meat was thin and very tender. I ordered the Iced Vietnamese coffee with Boba. It was made with crushed ice which made it even better. The food was delicious. The service was quick. The price was great. We had two bowls of Phở that were very big even though they were a «small» order, a Thai Iced Tea and a Vietnamese Iced Coffee all for just $ 20 dollars. I will definitely go back.

Let me start this review by committing the ultimate sacrilege: I like phở. I didn’t come for the phở. Before y’all start castin’ your stones, don’t worry. I brought a bona-fide phở lover with me. So he’s got me covered. Fun story: my dining buddy was somewhat hungry, so he wanted to order am extra-large rice noodle soup that day. I would like to note, on the record, no sane man would eat an extra large phở or rice noodle soup. It is multiples bigger than the size of the average stomach. The last time he had the Xlarge, he was in a food coma for the rest of the day(It’s not advised for those with small to large appetites). He enjoyed it. Immensely. I got BBQ Chicken. I have to say, I love that stuff. I will actually go out of my way to go get some. The flavor is great. However, one con of this restaurant is the same complaint I have with most Vietnamese restaurants… Good luck getting your water refilled. You gotta flag them down. But make no mistake, they are good people who are in the business because they love making their food and want to share it with the community. They’re not in it just for the money, and that is why I love to come back. Breakdown: Service: 4⁄5 Food: 6⁄5 Cost: 4⁄5 Overall Value of Visit: 5⁄5 PS. Takeout(BBQ Chicken) portion is generous. 8 $ for all of that is a great value and well worth the price! I highly recommend this place!

This place is delicious. Best phở around. The broth is so much better than other phở places I have been to. Price is great and you get a lot for your money. I always get the Tai phở which is super good. They also have boba teas and shakes.yumm. They are tucked back in the grocery outlet plaza so not a place I thought about stopping at. but I am so glad that I did. The owners are really nice and they got my 2 year old daughter a little plate of beef which she loved. If you’re debating eating here. definitely do it.

Absolutely fabulous Phở. This is my favorite restaurant in town for sure. Consistently delicious! All I want is good food and a good time without a hassle. I find that here and then some. Maybe it helps that I come here a lot, but the service is 100% most excellent! And believe me I would not come here a lot if everything was not most excellent. Anyway, take it from someone who doesn’t mess around. I know what I want here — tasty Phở and a welcoming place to enjoy a few beers. Achieved! I love these guys! Thank you ladies and gentlemen at Phở Ho An Pleasant Hill. Cheers! (Try the #9…)

Phở was delicious. I had the brisket/steak. My friend had the«everything» and my other friends had brisket/beef balls. My brother got the shrimp and rice bowl. Everything was delicious. We also tried the egg rolls which were good. The people working there were friendly too.

Came here after a dr’s appointment with dad for an early dinner. There was no wait and we sat right away. They were helpful with dad’s walker and getting our order quickly, though that is usually a standard at phở restaurants. I ordered a 3 bean drink to share as well as the chicken bun w egg roll. My dad ordered a beef one, both which came w a small side of broth. Mom ordered the beef tendon stew. All came out very quickly and looked pretty good. The flavor of the broth however just wasn’t there for me. Usually the clear broth is my favorite with the bright notes and refreshing favors that make you think you’re sitting next to Luke Nguyen himself cooking over his portable pot somewhere deep in South East Asia… Anyway, back to the point, the flavored were just flat and didn’t do it for me. The bun was decent and no complaints there. However, the bean drink was a bit disappointing. The milk was overly sweet and seemed like more condensed milk was used than coconut milk. Again, more dense than expected and not as refreshing. Perhaps not top on my list, but not on the bottom. I’d return… in a pinch, in a hard pushed craving, if I happen to be in the area and it’s convenient.

As a phở connoisseur, I would say this is my favorite go-to phở place in the walnut creek area! The broth is real delicious with a good quantity of meat and noodles. I like to keep things simple so the beef brisket phở is my favorite! The price is pretty reasonable and the service is pretty fast! If you like extra cilantro(like myself), don’t ask for it until after the food has been delivered because they will most likely forget. Great phở!

Whenever I get a hankering for phở, I come to this ugly dirt hole. What this place lacks in sanitation and décor, they make up for service and yumminess. Yeah, they can’t speak English super well and yeah, they don’t look you in the eye when you tell them your order but hey, they get the order down right, you get your food fast and it tastes good. That’s all that matters, right? As a creature of habit, I get Regular($ 5.99) #25 Thin Sliced Steak ALWAYS. Despite being very adventurous in other places, I have to admit, the food here doesn’t seem like the type of place you want to try new things at — if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it amiright? The broth is good, KINDA bland but nothing a glob of their unlimited plum sauce and sriracha can’t fix. Okay I lie, I HAVE tried their boba drinks and surprise surprise, it’s not worth it. Bottom line is, the food here is totally cheap, they give you pretty large portions and it gets that phở craving out of the way. If you can overcome the ugly hole-in-the-wall feel of the place, it’s worth a shot if you want to save a couple of bucks.

Friend or Phở? This is my neighborhood Vietnamese place and a good place to stop in a pinch, especially if I’m not in the mood for Chinese(Green Garden), NY Pizza, Escape from Fisherman’s Wharf, or the freezer case at Grocery Outlet. All of these establishments are in the same strip shopping center and an easy walk from home. The selections are reasonably plentiful, reasonably priced, feature good portions, but I find just OK taste wise.
