Pleasant Day Family Spa

I love this spa! The first time I went to a woman (do not remember her name) she was great, knew exactly what I was looking for. They do an amazing job! I have also went to Tony. He understands what deep tissue is. I highly recommend Family Day Spa!

Came here for the hour massage that included Reflexology, head, shoulders and back.
The staff was great, attentive and friendly! The atmosphere was so relaxing.
Definitely will be back again!!!

I came in today a very messed up dude… my back was so knotted up from life stress, yard work, etc that i couldnt even left my left arm, sleep, anything. I got the 30 minute deep tissue chair massage from Tom, and he was amazing. It hurt like hell, but in a good way– Tom found knots i didnt even know i had. I came away feeling so much better, all the tension gone. I highly recommend this place to anyone. They’re friendly, and know how to fix you. My fiancé took me to this place, so thats how i knew about it. Today i dropped in with no appointment, and it was no problem. I dont go on Unilocal alot, but i felt like i needed to for these folks, cause they are a life saver!

My regular spot down the street was super booked so I thought I give this place a try. I passed by this place going to get donuts and the goodwill store a million times, so it was time to try it out anyways. It took a huge spot over on Contra Costa Blvd and with a couple of reviews on Unilocal,I was pretty positive there were no funny business here.
The lady at the front was a little short with me, but that seemed to be the constant across the board with the reviews, I opted for the 30 mins for $ 35 cash.
The massage itself was awesome. The masseur couldn’t be more than a hundred pounds but had pressure like a gorilla. She had good constant pressure with a strong use of her elbow. They even had an electric blanket under the sheets to keep me nice and toasty. It was so awesome I fell asleep twice.
The only downside, no showers at this spot. They do wipe you down with warm towels but it’s not the same. Mostly because I want to shower beforehand, I came straight from work and have no time to stop off at home first to clean up. So shower beforehand or go home to do it after.

I have been to this spa several times, so far all the masseuse I’ve had were very good, they got rid of all my knots on my shoulder and back :-)
This place inside is very spacious and clean, location is easy to find and has plenty of parking, for the low price it’s worth a try.

I got a massage from Jenny at the recommendation of a friend who is a massage therapist for ~20 years, and he is constantly getting massages himself, so when he makes a recommendation I follow it! It was good. I was surprised at how strong she is. This is not your ‘gentle sway and push massage’…she is quite skilled, deep to the point of me asking for a little less. A serious massage at a great price.

I’ve been here several times for different services and never had a bad experience. Foot massage, 2 hour massage, couples massage… So great!!!

I just left and I am in pain. I did the $ 20 foot massage and it was ok. At times throughout the massage I did feel relaxed, however there were multiple times my masseuse fell asleep and I had to wiggle my feet and do a cough cough to wake her up. Then when she massaged my back she rested her hand on my spine and I had to physically move her hand away and say owe! When we left the owner at the front desk kept telling us «and tips for them!» I was already taking cash out of my wallet and did not need to get yelled at by her as a reminder. They also shorted us 5 minutes. Not coming here again. There are definitely spots on my back that are bruised. I felt much more relaxed after visiting the other foot massage place down the street at park n shop plaza.

I can’t say it’s horrible but certainly it’s not professional, massage is not just putting palm pressure and rubbing your body, if the masseuse is not passionate about his/​her job, the result is unsatisfactory, definitely will not going back there again

I had the best foot (really a foot and mini body massage) today. One hour for $ 20. My masseuse was amazing, the facility is brand new, everyone was friendly and they even gave me a tour of the rooms. This is my new go to spot for quick relaxation.
I hardly ever give any business 5 stars but I love this place.

I stopped in around 4pm on a week night. No one was at the front desk. Waited about five minutes and a lady drove up and walked in and went behind the desk. I asked to make an appointment. She said just have a massage now. She showed me the prices and I chose the $ 40 massage. She then asked me how I would pay. I told her I only had a credit card with me and that is when she informed me the price was for cash paying customers only. Seemed a little sketch so I left. I would like to know other customer’s experiences.
